Gothic 3 has an amazingly large world to explore and tons of things to do, but also a lot of rough edges. The AI is slow-witted and the combat system is mere button smashing. Still, with some faith, Myrtana is a great place to get lost into. [Dec 2006, p.82]

Unlike the horrific launch of Dungeon Lords, which eventually revealed that there wasn't much of value beneath the buggy exterior, Gothic 3 has a tremendous world of role-play available for those willing to persevere - and I strongly recommend the game to players in this category, who also have the behemoth computer power needed to run the game in the first place.

Дая чёрт его знает почему но я люблю готику 3 мне она понравилась но , но в игру без патча на оптимизацию и мода на боёвку играть тяжело и ещё желательно парочку модов установить но это по желанию

Gothic III is solidly entertaining, a great upgrade from "Gothic II," but lacks the polish of "Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion."

Gameplay-wise, there’re a lot of things that might turn off some players, but there’s a lot to go through, and a huge amount to explore.

The game just feels so dull and a real letdown considering the game’s amazing detail and depth.

In a game where the illusion of a dynamic, realistic world is so crucial to the experience, technical bugs and awkward design decisions do a marvelous job at hamstringing Gothic III's gameplay.

Rating this game has never been easier. Stay the hell away from Gothic III. The amount of glitches in this game instantly ruins whatever experience it aimed to achieve. There are not enough patches in PC gaming history to sort this one out.

One of the best open worlds ever. Variation that is rarely seen. And thanks to Kai Rosencrantz, this atmosphere is wonderful!

This game is fun but it lacks something in all departaments apart from music from Kai Rosenkranc which is amazing. Story seems to be chopped and lacks coherency, as well as the world presented in the game. It's obvious Piranha Bytes needed a year or two to polish the game.

A totally mess when released and after that no support of the dev team since they literally lost the license of their own game. But the gothic community saved the game: Fan made patch (community patch) and mods (like the quest package) finished it. Today its a good game, with still nice graphics, a large open world and a wonderful soundtrack. But never play it without the fan made mods or every wolf will kill you while youre wearing the paladine armor at level 50.

This game has been a huge disappointment. I've been waiting for it for so long after beating Gothic 2... Just to receive a game that overwhelmed it's creators... The world is huge, filled with boring side quests. The fighting is just terrible.. All we have to do is clicking the mouse button...90% of the time we'll end up hitting the opponent as other enemies just stare, until they get positioned close enough to be able to hit us. AI is simply terrible. Main story also wasn't entertaining at all. The music is nice, I must admit, and the graphics are pretty decent as well. The game is glitched like hell but this can be fixed with newest patch, thankfully. But even after that the game is not really enjoyable. Oh, and also, the game expects you to fight with whole cities/camps, which is just amusing because of how poor our enemies' AI is. Overall, it just doesn't have the atmosphere that Gothic 1 and 2 held. I'd maybe enjoy G3 if it had the same mechanics as G2... Pros: -Uh, graphics and music I guess...? -Huge open world... Which looks nice but isn't really interesting to explore. Cons: -Pretty much everything else.

Technical issues may be on my end, but they are still technical issues. It doesn't help that the combat truly is hardcore. I don't understand the appeal at all and honestly, I couldnt spend more then 3 hours with it. Buy if it's like 5$, not more.
