PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale5
Jul 15, 2014
To be honest of all of the Playstation's first party games, this is fortunately (for the game) and sadly (for Playstation as a whole) the best. I mean yeah, but what is this game and why does it exist. Well basically it's a Super Smash Bros. rip-off that forces ten million bad gameplay choices in to make you believe that it's not a Super Smash Bros. rip-off but a mediocre game, but in truth it's both. First of all what is the story here, well it's basically an arcade mode that makes absolutely no sense at all. What do I mean by this well just try to keep a straight face while reading this next part: Humanity is in shambles... the things that once kept it alive are now taking everything from it and yet they keep fighting a never ending war... so fight Parapa the rappa cause it'll save humanity. So yeah the story's not that good so how about the gameplay. Well it does actually try to add some original spins, but they're all horrible. The first and biggest thing they add is that you defeat enemies by hitting them until you charge up your meter and then hit them again with an attack that kills them, and sadly that is bad because most of the good characters have really crapy finishers... and I mean really crapy finishers. Case in point the Big Daddy who should be unbeatable's main one is through out a little sister at an unbelievably awkward angle, and even if you hit a person it only works if it wants to... and most of the time it doesn't. Next is that the stages have hazards (lols innovation) and once they come out they never, ever, EVER LEAVE... EVER, and most of the time they annoy the heck out of you and mess up the whole fight. So with the main way of beating your enemies destroyed and the stages all **** because of a stupid design choice who are the characters, well they're RIDICULOUSLY UNBALANCED. What I mean by that is that if you choose Heihachi (I don't know how to spell his name) then you will always loose, but if you choose Kratos you will never loose unless your against the greatest player ever. So with all that why did I give it a 5/10 well that's because it's still a Super Smash **** game and that keeps it from being a 4 or 3/10. So Sony got away with it this time, but I promise if Sony comes out with another one of these and still pretends like it's not a Super Smash Bros. rip-off then I will show it absolutely no mercy and pan it for what it is.

Mario Kart 810
Jul 14, 2014
Mario Kart to me at least is a series which with every new release they completely annihilate the last one and make it so that there's no reason to ever back track (the exception being super circuit) to a previous title and yet there are still a few things in the old games which keep them in most Nintendo fans libraries even when they're more then ten years old... And guess what they did it again. Mario Kart 8 does a lot of new things for the series like zero gravity (which by the way isn't disorienting and unbelievably smooth), the new crazy eight item (which can really help catch you up if you messed up and ended up in the back), the horn (which FINALLY ends the terror of the blue shell... most of the time), and tons of more cart customizations. In terms of presentation it is perfect... literally, the tracks look unbelievable and the music is beautiful on some tracks. The character roster is great with tons of new characters and old ones (but does feel a little lazy sometimes). Overall the game is unbelievably well made and reminds me why we should always expect good games from Nintendo.

Real Steel0
May 2, 2014
This game is literally a contender for the worst game of all time. Why is this well if bad gameplay that's overly challenging, no story at all, and music that's so generic that you could have played around with a Mario Paint rip-off and came up with something more original. Well at least this was bought by my brother and not me. But I'ld better get into the review so I'll start with the gameplay... it's literally broken. Yes there are combos but are you going to memorize 15 combos just to fight THE FIRST ENEMY IN THE GAME. But you need to because if you don't then you loose, you know what even if you do you loose, this games first enemy is impossible to beat. I wonder if there even is anything after the first enemy in the game. Also by the way remember in the movie when they first fight that robot in the zoo. Well apparently he got really popular or something (after being destroyed by the way) and got into the robotic boxing federation. Because animating more then one arena is way to hard for one person with 50 cents and five seconds to create the game. Of course that couldn't be it because everything has to be wrong. The game play is very generic punch, kick, heavy it's all there... BUT IT DOESN'T WORK. And playing it is like taking a needle the old fashioned way. Even the get up is messed up, like how do you do it spam one button... no of course not you've got to do an awkward quicktime event that doesn't even make sense (and it's basically impossible to explain). Oh wait there's customization, but there's no way to customize past heavy, intermediate, and light in the beginning and because you can't win the first fight it's impossible to do it at all. Well at least there is no reason to keep going on anyway because there's no story or point. So don't play it infact once your done reading this just forget that Real Steal exists on anything, just watch the movie or watch a different movie or do anything but play this game.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception2
Mar 17, 2014
To start I would like to say that no... I didn't play this game when it first came out, I only played it last week. But if the game really aged this badly in only 3 (or really more like 2) years then this has to be a contender for worst first party game ever made. But why is it so bad well let me start with the first thing seen about the game the title (I get it don't judge a book by it's cover but still) Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception and as the title suggests (SPOILERS!!!) Drake gets infact, indeed, indubitably, deceived. But in all the other Uncharted games (SPOILERS!!!) Drake gets deceived then shouldn't it be more like: Uncharted Drake's Deception, Uncharted 2 Drake's Deception again, Uncharted 3 Drake you F*@#$^% idiot. But unfortunately this is the least of the game's problems because to be completely honest the best part about this game is the title screen infact I would rather just stare at the title screen for 6 1/2 hours then play this game for about just as long. But next I'll get the few good things about this thing out, the main theme is good all of the other music I can't remember but the main theme is good, the characters are generic but there not annoying or stupid... so better that then Last of Us, and also the graphics in the actual cutscenes are okey. But anything else ranges from bad to just plain garbage. I'll start with the story and... it's basically the same as the other Uncharted games, I'ld go more in depth but I don't want to have to click that contains spoilers box and I already have done quite a lot but what ever there's plenty more garbage that Naughty Dog dished out so don't worry about it. The control is just plain bad, it's infact so bad that I didn't even want to think that this game was a first party. What do I mean by this well firstly Nathan Drake who (SPOILERS!!!) is the main character of the game only jumps when he fricken feels like it, and you can't even imagine how annoying this is in a game like this when you are trying your best just to get Nathan to do a little kindergardener jump but instead he just head bangs like he's at a Nirvana concert. He also runs into invisible walls half the time when there's a cliff and the other half he just slips off like an idiot and goes plummeting to his death. Also for the fact that when your not aiming a gun the camera moves around like it's on speed, but once you aim a gun the camera then moves around like it's... well off of speed. And since the control is goins so much into the gameplay I might as well just go full in. So in terms of gameplay there are actually a lot of different kinds... of course they can't get any of them right though. First the swimming I hope you thought that Ocarina of Time was the best swimming was ever going to get because in Uncharted 3 it's worse. By this I mean that basically when you first start out in Ocarina of Time and when you first try to swim well imagine that except more stiff and a million people shooting instakill grenades at you. Then there is the climbing which just like the jumping only works when it feels like it. Some times the segments are as easy as spamming X while holding up and sometimes they just don't work and force you to exhaust every possible option until finally you get it right. But you know what the best part is? it's when you try to jump to something that seems obvious to get on but when you jump to them you go falling to your death again. Then there is of course the walk around like an idiot for 10 minutes to elongate gameplay while searching for something or just walking in a straight line. Oh but before I get to the actual combat I have to get to one of the best parts of the game... in game cutscenes. Oh my god are they hilarious because not only does the game begin to look worse while in these cutscenes but they also decide to give Nathan and (SPOILERS) Sully the ability to teleport into a completely different position durning one of these and then teleport back like nothing ever happened. Then the big one the fighting mechanics. First of all the melee combat, I will say it's not completely a cutscene but it's a button masher and a bad one at that. You can also apparently kill enemies by landing on them but it never worked for me except for the first level. The shooting as I mentioned before is very stiff and there have been times where I had to follow an enemy across the screen because the cursor moved like a slug. But of course with all of that obviously you should be assaulted by ten thousand responding enemies who can take sniper bullets to the head right. Well no but it's in the game anyway. But by far the worst part of the game is the fricken RPG's, because not only are they an instakill but they also will send Nathan into an omg something exploded remotely close to me animation if it explodes anywhere near you. And of course there are armored guys that take 200 hits to kill and can't be meleed. So in the end this game isn't worth a 10/10.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl10
Jan 15, 2014
This is by far my favorite fighting game (not to mention my favorite Super Smash Bros. game) it has more content then any other fighter ever and the best story (in my opinion) ever in a fighter, and that's not to mention the amazing selection of characters. This game has no competitor it's just to good.

One of my favorite Wii U games out right know the combat is very fun, the gameplay is very responsive, the control is very good, the graphics look great, the story and characters are cliched but they make fun of how cliched they are, and even the quick time events are good.

Donkey Kong Country Returns3
Aug 29, 2013
I don't think Donkey Kong Country Returns is that good **** for many reasons being the controls, the cheap deaths, the over use of motion controls, and many other reasons. But it isn't that bad the game can control well sometimes and the art style is really good I just hope Retro Studios does better on the next game.

ZENONIA5
Aug 29, 2013
The idea this game is pretty good how about put a good RPG on IOS but the only problem is that they didn't optimize the controls for IOS. While I do like the idea of the controller being fixed and the only way to play it can really mess things up in some situations. Though the game does have a good sense of humor and the gameplay can be fun (even though it is really tedious). Overall the game is ok but it isn't good enough to waste so much time on.

Final Fantasy V8
Aug 26, 2013
A really amazing game that every Final Fantasy with a job system after it took from. It also has great characters, an amazing storyline, the gameplay is great, the music is amazing, the graphics are really colorful, and the world is open to explore for most of the game. But there are problems the controls in this version is really bad because the control can't be fixed, the random encounter rate is incredibly high, I barely ever knew where to go, and the characters seem to have barely any health for most of the game.

Steel Diver4
Aug 26, 2013
It seems that Steel Diver was made not to make a good game but to show off what the 3DS could do in terms of how you control the game (big examples being the switches to move and the wolf gang like part in the game) but just because it was innovative doesn't mean it's good.

Adventure Time - Legends of Ooo: Big Hollow Princess3
Aug 16, 2013
Adventure Time Legends of Ooo is not that great **** (that may be because I don't like point and click adventures but still) it is really boring, repetitive, doesn't use the Adventure time name well, and is way to easy. Since the game is one dollar and it has a lot of the voice actors I could understand buying it but that doesn't make it that good.

Mutant Mudds Deluxe7
Aug 16, 2013
I will say it this game is incredibly hard but because of the challenge every time I complete a level I feel a huge amount of accomplishment because of how many times I died. From a technical stand point though the graphics do seem to still be trying to take advantage of the 3D (on Wii U) and the enemies take a lot of hits to kill which I find to only be tedious and not to bring much of a challenge.

New Super Luigi U8

Very good but very hard only play if you are really a hardcore Mario fan because the DLC makes the game a million times harder (unless you only play as Nabit). Though it is an incredible value because of how much the courses change.

Aug 16, 2013
What a let down the game is the same as all the other IOS games. It just wants your money and won't stop until it gets it from you (you need to get gas but the only way is to buy it). The plot and graphics are decent but it's just a mask for this money steeling game. In conclusion buy a game that you pay for once.

Final Fantasy Dimensions10
Aug 16, 2013
What can I say this game is just amazing. I remember deciding I just wanted a free intro to the game just to kill some time. And I ended up playing it for longer then almost any other game I ever played. It might cost $20 but for how much content it advertises it's an amazing deal. It also has 8 heroes instead of just 4 and they level up differently and can get 5 exclusive jobs to there set of warriors (those being the 4 heroes of Light and the 4 heroes of Darkness). Not only that but the game has tons of summons to find and defeat. Tons of dances and songs, ultra powerful weapons, and great challenge. The game is excellent if you don't believe me get the prelude for free and play through the opening.

Aug 15, 2013
Truly one of my favorite RPG's of all time and in my top 3 if not number 1 top nostalgic game. It has the best partners, storyline, gameplay, graphics (it's so beautiful), characters, locations, and fun factor of any Mario RPG (in my opinion) if you like untraditional RPG's look no further.

Super Paper Mario0
Aug 15, 2013
I remember when I was a kid that my favorite game on the Gamecube was Paper Mario The Ten Thousand year door and when I heard that there was a new Paper Mario game coming soon I got hyped more then for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I couldn't wait but little did I know I was waiting for a huge kick in the balls. The game was basically New Super Mario Bros. RPG (infact I would have preferred that title much more). With a boring storyline (that I can't imagine any kids understanding), graphics that are an insult to the Wii, terrible partners (I prefer one done well then 9 with no soul), Navi/Tippi, bad boss fights (excluding the first one), a main villain with no incentive (other then just take over the world), and some of the worst levels I've ever seen.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star9
Aug 15, 2013
An amazing game everything that was lost with Super Paper Mario was reborn with Paper Mario Sticker Star. With great level design, amazing music (with Koji Kondo having a very new take on Mario music), great bosses, a decent storyline (that is saved by the characters), and a fantastic battle system. My only complaints are it can be hard to find out what to do at times, there aren't any partners, and Mario never levels up but those are all just nitpicks.
