The greatest zombie game ever made, now with graphics and gameplay to bring it into the current generation. The best parts of the PS3 original merged with the best parts of Part II.
A decent game if you are into 2D platformers. Solid gameplay and does a good job of introducing new mechanics throughout, just a bit simple of an experience for a full-price game.
Interesting (but odd) story that is somewhat coherent if you played and finished the previous entry. Unfortunately this title is worse as it is held back by frustrating clock puzzles and environmental manipulation puzzles throughout the game. Pretty grindy and not really worth the playthrough unless you are hungry to continue the story from XIII.
Absolute garbage. I won't buy another Call of Duty game. This is pathetic, embarassing, and not worth even the $18 I got this on sale for. Luckly I bought a physical copy so I can sell it for a couple dollars.
The original System Shock was cutting edge for it's time, but it has not aged well. So when this remake was announced I was excited to see a modern System Shock taking advantage of PS5 hardware and becoming cutting edge again. Unfortunately, this is anything but cutting edge and has seemingly gotten stuck in the early 2000's. Boring gameplay, dull combat, marginal graphics, and an ancient interface keep this one from being worth the 30-year wait.
A slightly more boring retread of the standard Far Cry gameplay loop, but with far fewer gimmicks to distract you from the dulldrum. If you like Far Cry games you might like this one but I don't think it is as good as the others in the series.
Literally the 9 circles of hell in cartoon format. Impossibly frustrating and overwhelming gameplay. Amazing art style and animation. Overall 50% detestable and 50% enjoyable. 50% exhilarating accomplishment and 50% crushing failure. If you are the type of gamer who likes to try the same level or boss over and over and over and over, overcome it, then move to the next, only to have to repeat this repetition in an ever increasing difficulty curve, than you might really like this game. I however refuse to waste my time repeating the same level or boss dozens upon dozens of times only to be rewarded with more suffering.
Good indie title with some interesting mechanics. Fun for a playthrough, but very simple without much depth. If you can get it for a couple of dollars it's worth a try.
An OK platformer which has been improved from the original Wii U version. Definitely the best Donkey Kong game ever made, but that still only makes it a 6/10 in my books.
Heavy metal demon slaying perfection. Controls are perfect, music is stellar, graphics are great, story... exists. Amazing game overall and so much fun. I wish more games were like this one!!
A fairly good platformer but the reward is not worth the effort unfortunately. I'm not a big fan of the art style or mental health-associated story. The game is preposterously difficult and it seriously hurts my fingers and forearms. I generally need to stop playing after a few hundred deaths (or around 5-10 minutes) and play Doom 2016 to unwind because this game fills me with a hateful rage that only heavy metal fueled demon slaying can quell
Cool art style, but the gameplay is really bad (a shooter with horrible shooting), story is weak, and the overall experience is incredibly repetitive, grindy, and boring. Playable, but not enjoyable.
Battlefield used to be great, but this game and campaign are really bad. It's essentially a long drawn-out tutorial. Flight sections look great, but the controls are horrible and there aren't enough adjustments to make flight enjoyable (if you can't pull off flight, don't include it in the game). The final mission in the campaign is incredibly irritating and so far from a WW2 experience that all I could do was laugh as I ran around attacking a train as it moved back and forth shooting at me. Garbage.
Fantastic game with solid story, graphics, combat, voice acting, and game design. Platforming and facial animations are a little imperfect at times, but overall this a great game and experience.
The controls are finally fixed!!! It's a freakin' miracle!!! I can finally enjoy movement in an Assassin's Creed game. Well done to the team who finally threw out the old 2007 control scheme and brought the franchise into the modern era. The game is only held back by excessive Ubisoft bloat content and some bland side quests, but we should still celebrate the fact that we don't have to see the character randomly run up walls or jump to their death when I am just trying to walk in a straight line.
Definitely the best Assassin's Creed game in the series to-date. I had this on PS3 originally and it was nearly unplayable due to the framerate, thankfully the graphical experience is vastly superior on PS4. Unfortunately, the game is still very frustrating due to the horrible controls (as are all prior Assassin's Creed games). I enjoyed it overall, but the controls really hamper the overall experience.
Pretty fun with solid gameplay and mechanics. Feels like 3 games in 1 thanks to being able to play campaigns as the marine, predator, and alien. Not bad!
Pretty fun and decent graphics, but very janky. The NPC AI is a total joke and then game is fairly frustrating due to the unfinished mechanics. Not recommended unless you really need an Aliens game for the PS3 (AvP is a better choice).
A very fun 2-player experience. My son and I completed it together and it was a great choice for couch co-op. Fairly short without much replayability, but fun for a single playthrough and you can usually find it for a discount price.
A masterpiece of gaming design. Some of the most engaging puzzles and environments I have experienced, combined with solid combat and excellent balancing. Definitely the greatest game I have played on the Switch to date and a mist have for Switch owners.
This game is absolutely amazing. The combat, graphics, story, exploration, costumes, and overall experience are nearly flawless. The only holdback is that the platforming is a bit floaty. This is one of my favorite games ever and a must play on the PS5!
Very awkward controls combined with repetitive backtracking really hold this game back from being fun. A pretty irritating, boring, and disappointing game overall.
Fun game with a simple design and progression. Combat is good (except for the final boss). Good for a single playthrough, but don't see myself going back for a second.
A bad port of a mediocre game. The same unbalanced and unfair gameplay are carried over from PC, but the graphics are really bad. Pretty disappointing overall.
Pretty weak game with a moderately tolerable story. Clunky controls, schizophrenic interface, and a constant string of QuickTime events make this game a let down and not worth a second playthrough.
Game starts off OK but gets progressively worse as you continue on. Combination of bad game design, poor mechanics, and bugs makes this one a real slog to get through.
Cute, but frustrating as hell. Great graphics and music, fun story, lots of collectables and free costumes, but held back by some irritating gameplay mechanics. Fun for a playthrough with friends, but I'm not going back for seconds.
A solid game with great atmosphere and good graphics. Puzzles are mostly fun and powers are enjoyable to level up. Unfortunately, it is a bit boring and frustrating a lot of the time. Still fun for a single playthrough, but definitely not very inviting for a second playthrough.
Excellent graphics and atmosphere, but unfortunately held back by clunky platforming, terrible controls, huge input lag, and therefore frustrating combat. A title not worth the discount price tag
Pretty weak game overall. Story... mediocre, graphics... average, gameplay... dull. Tolerable in short bursts, but only a matter of time before you turn it off and play something better.
Pretty good game with solid mechanics and graphics, I just wish it was a bit more fun and memorable to play. Definitely suffers from a lack of personality holding it back from being great.
Overall the game is mechanically sound, but also very dull and without any real gameplay impact. Graphics are good and everything works, it just feels very sterile.
All style, no substance. Better than the first game in the series, but not by much. Thankfullythe reasonable checkpoint system helps make up for the horrible cover system and terrible shooting.
A good game overall and held together with really solid combat, just a bit of a weak story that doesn't keep me engaged for more than a mission or two at a time, but the combat and gameplay keep me coming back for more.
A really fun off-road racing game of the arcade variety. Definitely not perfect, but fun to blast though some races and the different vehicles excelling in various conditions make it fun to find a unique route through the course for your setup.
The game had a lot of potential, but unfortunately it is just a frustrating sloppy mess ****. I will summarize it with one word... Garbage! Even though this game is cheap as dirt, don't waste your money like I did.
A safe, mechanically sound, and good looking game, but is is missing the fun and story you would expect and need to keep it engaging. Not bad for a playthrough, but could have been so much better.
