I was addicted from the bat. The story gripped me, the combat absorbed me, and the world became something I wanted to explore every inch of. I regret nothing by Platinuming this fantastic game. Jason becomes a character that you care about a lot because you watch him become a badass before your eyes. Some of the side characters are dull and unexciting, but that is for a reason. They are dull because they haven't evolved to the world that you have and it is the first time that I've been happy that characters were not strong and exciting. Now, after all of this, why am i not giving this the perfect 10/10? Sadly, the multiplayer feels tagged on. The modes are uninspired and uninteresting. The Co-op can be quite fun the server rooms are not the most accepting. If you wanted to play a specific a level, be prepared to spent a lot of time waiting for the 3 people to join your quest cause online quick matches usually only stays on one mission. So beyond the online components of the game, the single player is one of the best experiences in FPS's I've ever played.

The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series

When i first heard of this game, it perked my ears but i was hesitant because of Telltale Games. They have been a bit sloppy in their past few games, Back to the Future was good but Jurassic Park was terrible. Once i played The Walking Dead though, all my fears were not just dropped, they were crushed. The game plays out like its own TV series, with 5 episodes that chronicle the events that occur around Lee, a convicted criminal that is thrust into the zombie apocalypse with a little girl named Clementine. From there, you meet many different characters and different settings, each with their own challenges and events that mold your own experience with The Walking Dead. The story is the forefront of this game, characters you meet and interact with make you grow. You decision at what to tell each person effects everything from there on. Talking is its own gameplay challenge. You have 2-4 different choices when you talk to others with a very limited time to answer, some much faster than others according to the situation. This creates a built tension that carries throughout each episode, and it all comes together at the end in the most satisfying way I can image. That said, this is NOT a perfect experience the whole way. The game is quite glitchy, and starting a new episode usually has a slow start as the game tries to get all the information from the last episode. Since this is the zombie apocalypse, you will have encounters against the undead. Fighting them off needs quick button pressing, which actually works just fine with the rest of the game, but its not perfect. Overall, The Walking Dead is easily Telltales best game by far. Its cheap, each episode only lasts long enough to keep your attention long enough till its over and you want to get to the next episode, but for the best experience you should wait a few days till the next episode, makes it feel like the real show.

Problem i have with this game is that I like it, even though i can see the obvious faults with it. The game is very linear, repetitive, and several glitches plagued my game as i played. What keeps me from hating it is the visuals and the story. The game takes great care in what it wants to achieve visually, grotesque and stunning both beautiful and horrifying. The story tries its hardest to grip you into this twisted world **** messed up in the head. Those who enjoy this kind of tale, you will love it until the end. If you dont, then this isnt the game for you. Gameplay is very repetitive, the same enemy coming back over and over again to the point where I'm annoyed of it. The same gimmicks are used constantly, but somehow finds a way to refresh the visuals to make u want to see the next stage. Overall, Alice Madness returns is made for those who love to be shocked. Combined with the free copy of the original in new copies of the game, a game full of potential and heart.

When I first heard of this game, and how much reviewers and others loved it, i didn't believe it. I delayed my purchase of this game tell after I saw it on sale and as a GOTY edition. So i decided to take a chance and get it. That was one of the best decisions I have ever made, this game is brilliant in every sense of the word. One of the greatest moments in video game history has to be the train ride, where you must go from the back of a moving train to the front, taking out guards, tanks, and even helicopters to make your way to the front, and that's just one of many great moments in this game. It has so many defining moments that most games can dream of just one of them. Every time you think this game has done all that it could, something else comes up to shock you. The visuals in this game are outstanding, detail pours out of every scene to make you stop sometimes just to admire what Naughty Dog has done. The platforming in this game is remarkable, with landscapes that sometimes to the naked eye don't seem scalable, but then something breaks or shifts and new routes are open to you. Drake is one of the most likable characters this generation, he is a great explorer, a good friend and even better person, and yet also manages to be badass. There is also a multiplayer, it's good but not addicting. There is nothing wrong with it, it works well, the maps are perfect for the platforming and the competitive aspect is perfect for this sort of game, but personally i couldn't get into. It was fun for a few rounds but its the single player that is the meat of this game. That is how a game should be, and it does it well. Uncharted 2 is one of the best games this generation and I highly recommend this game to anyone who loves good story, great characters, and fantastic gameplay.

THIS is how great gameplay, controls and story should flow. Valve has once again created a masterpiece of modern gaming. From the moment i woke up in a room and told to look around to the ending song i was just sitting there going "What could they do next?" and they threw more mind bending puzzles and voice acting that still stick with me to this day. When it comes to visuals, it's just that right blend of polished but rustic look that makes every detail seem believable. The controls simple, you shot one thing and the other thing you shoot with have the portals connect, but its that simplicity that will make you wondering just how the creators were able to think up such mind numbing rooms and puzzles that are hard, but not so hard that it will have you rage quitting. When you complete a difficult room, you have a sense of accomplishment that many games just can't match. Above all it's the voice acting that truly sells this game. Your character doesn't talk, but its the 3 other characters that will have you listening to every word they say from the beginning. Some lines are haunting, but most have this charm that will make you laugh or smile because they talk about your doom, they still feel like old friends you don't want to leave. The single player is masterfully done, but in the co-op they find yet another perfect blend of fun and challenge. You and one other can complete more portal challenges that hold their own sense of accomplishment to them. I think Portal 2 is an all around perfect game, it has lasting appeal and great characters plus co-op that will have you coming back for more.

Duke Nukem Forever

Had this game been released a few years ago, it might have been a more appreciated game. But in this day and age games are taking in new directions and having deep stories, beyond incredible visuals, and gameplay that can make the player feel like they are in the action. Sadly, even with all of that development time, Duke Nukem doesn't live up to any of those standards. The beginning had alot of potential, but it was a copy and paste of a moment from the first game to begin with, just with new polish. When you first start off with you taking a piss in a bathroom and fighting a cyclops, the game makes it feel like maybe all that development time went to good use. After that though, it all falls apart. The first thing you will notice is how dated the game looks. Textures just don't look sharp and it has a very unrealistic feel to it. Shooting is stiff, which might be for nostalgia purposes but at many times it feels like it's trying to be a modern shooter so it just doesn't flow well. The story is non-existent, it tries to tell a story where the world is being taken over by vengeful pig aliens or something but it gets lost quickly and there is no emotional tie to anything. What doesn't help is that Duke is immature. This is apposed to make him be some kind of badass, but when a character that is apposed to be one of Dukes closest friends dies, Duke makes a joke and you start to hate him because he just doesn't care. The only thing that makes this game any fun is some old school FPS nostalgia and the multiplayer, which is just simple deathmatchs from the old days of gaming that can be fun for a while and leveling up decorates your house and your clothing. Duke Nukem Forever also includes a development timeline that you unlock after you beat the game, which almosts mocks itself because it just shows how long 3D Realms and Gearbox worked on this title and still screwed it up. This game had sooo much potential, but after it's all done Duke shows that he really hasn't grown up at all since his glory days in 3D.

It's been over a year since this game was released, and I got this on midnight launch. I am a hardcore fan of the Dead Space series so I wanted to nostalgia of playing Dead Space 2 die down before i wrote a review. When i first played it, i couldn't stop raving about it. It seemed perfect, but now i look at it again and i do see some faults to it. EA listened to the community after the first Dead Space and tried to fix some of the problems of the first game. Isaac now has a voice, he is disturbed by the thoughts of what happened on the Ishimura, but mostly of his deceased girlfriend, Nicole. Hearing him talk makes Isaac a more likable character, you now know why he is doing what he is doing and hearing what he is feeling. Combat is much improved, but more badass weapons in taking out necromorphs and Isaac can now "fly" around in space with thrusters on his boots. The game takes place on a space colony called Sprawl, meaning the badies can now take the form of children and more complex types of enemies. All of that makes the game feel more complex and the addition of Isaacs voice makes for a better story and more emotional connection to things, but after it all the scare factor is almost game. Dead Space was scary, which made it so much fun, but its sequel tries to ake the player feel more powerful with more weapons and Isaac feel like a badass, meaning less time feeling scared and more time feeling powerful enough to take the whole Sprawl on. That is why i can't give this game a 10 even though i love it so much and it honestly takes everything I had a problem with in the first game and fixes it, i didn't get scared and it didn't feel like the same game. It's a great game, and as a Dead Space title i love it and other fans of the series should too, but it just isnt as scary so that might be a downer for some. There is also multiplayer, but getting on today is near impossible on PS3 and even then it feels like an afterthought. Playing as a necromorph is cool, but it can get repeditive fast and sometimes the human side can get too overpowered and playing as a necromorph then is just no fun. As an entire package, just the single player alone is amazing but not as scary, the multiplayer is fun but is hard to find and if you do those playing it will be overpowering. I love Dead Space 2, I just hope they can make the next one more frightening.

Hate me now, but i haven't seen the first movie. I saw Tron Legacy in theaters and i did like that movie, it seemed a great idea and playing it as a video is a fool proof idea. How can you mess up a movie tie-in game when the movie itself is about a video game? I'm not saying this is a terrible game, but this just isn't what i expected. I'll start with what it got right, the core gameplay. The fast combat that has u flipping around and attacking enemies with you disc is enjoyable and feels good to get in a strong combo is multiple moves that you learned. If i were to compare it to another game, it would have to be God of War or Dantes Inferno, with light, heavy and special moves that you can flow together. After that though, there isn't anything that Tron Evolution really gets right, or at least doesn't do to the fullest extent. The visuals are fine, but if you have seen one glowing blue wall, you have seen the rest. They spice it up once in a while with green and orange, but it's all very simplistic and i feel that if they had made it to a bigger scale it would have felt more like the movie, instead of showing us all the big set pieces in cut scenes only. Enemies also are bland. Some will have you using new skills you learned to take them out, but that is the only way TO kill them. You just have to spam that attack over and over again in order to kill them. At some points in the game it feels like they threw it in there as an after thought just to extend the play time, with some entire chapters being room after room with the same enemy type just to slow you down. You also find little attachment to anything in this game story wise. Yes, some of the actors from the movies voice their characters here, but they just seem like a cameo, even if they are a part of the story, they will leave you to fend for yourself and you wont see them again for quite some time. Your character also is silly in all reason. You are an AI of the Tron universe that somehow escaped a virus and everyone trusts you because you don't have any emotions, but that leaves you not caring for him either. Why can't i play as Clu or something? Id even be happy if it was just a small mission where you could play as an actual character of the movies, but you don't. Finally there is the multiplayer, which is probably the most fun you can have with this package, if you can find a match. Once you do though, the nostalgia that fans of the movies will be worth the price of the game, with fast paced deathmatches on lightbikes and arena matches that can be chaotic fun. Even for those, like myself, who wouldn't have the same nostalgia rush as some, these are still alot of fun. The experience you earn in the multiplayer also help you out in the main story, which is something i think is amazing to see. In all, Tron Evolution isn't a bad game, it also isn't a very good game. You can have some fun in the single player, but it won't last long, but in multiplayer the game shines and I loved my time with it. Sadly the multiplayer (at least on the PS3 version) isn't very populated and finding a match that is full isn't easy. I say this is good if you are a die hard fan of Tron, but if you want fast gameplay and a good story, there are other games that can do better than Tron Evolution.

I got RAGE for different reasons. I wanted a new and fresh FPS and i know how respected developer iD is and it was being published by Bethesda, the creators of some of my favorite games such as Skyrim and Fallout 3. In a way, RAGE does what both developers put on the table, it feels like a combination of an open world and a strong FPS. After that though, it falls flat on being a perfect game. Everyone agrees on one thing though, what it gets right. The game runs super smooth, the combat is near perfect, and the visuals are stunning. The enemy AI is some of the best iv ever seen, they react to your movements and when you shoot them they aren't bullet sponges, they will grab their arm or limp towards you without remorse or care that they are missing a limb. It feels great to play those moments and the visuals make it that much better, looking like one of the best games iv ever seen. The gun types are impressive and there is different types of ammo you can use, so in a way it feels like a combination of Fallout and Bioshock. After all the good things though, it shows its faults. This game must have ADD because you never stay with one idea or story line for very long. If you get bored with a town after a while, don't worry. You wont stay long and then never hear about it again. Did you like a certain character? Too bad, they were there just to get you to point B, then they have no more use. The story just goes everywhere but at the same time nowhere, so it there is no emotional tie to anything. There is also one gameplay aspect that frustrates me. This game is one of those games that NEEDS a good check point system, and this has a terrible one. To get a good challenge out of this game, playing it on hard is the best way to go, but dying will send you almost strait back to the beginning, and some of the areas aren't small. I dont want to keep having to save my game every 5 minutes just to make sure i don't go all the back to where i started. Sadly, its just something you have to deal with, for while this has faults, this game does make you want to keep going to see where you will go next. There are some great characters to see, and some landscapes that will make you picking your jaw off the ground, but you have to drag yourself though a story that tries much to hard to be interesting and a an open world that relies heavily on vehicles to get around, making everything feel smaller then it really is. But if you look past its problems, RAGE could be a fresh and beautiful FPS that might be the fix that you need from military based shooters.

Before i begin, i need to say that for all of those who have problems with the game lagging and freezing, there is a light for you. Bethesda heard your complaints and have announced a patch to fix it after Thanksgiving. Now, I should start by saying i wasn't the biggest fan of Oblivion. I didn't hate it, but i got it late, this year actually for the 5th anniversary. I saw what Skyrim was doing and got excited to see if they would deliver that fantasy experience that Lord of the Rings got me into when i was a kid. And im happy to say it did, every bit of it. It toke everything that I though Oblivion did ok at and made it great. Character animations are more natural, but still a bit stiff, though i let that pass when i can kick a Drugars ass in a cave. The open world feeling is there, with beautiful environments and sounds that are a joy to just sit back and listen to. Combat is miles above Oblivions, with hit detection, blood on your weapon of choice and some final finishes strait from Fallout 3, one of my all time favorite games. Magic is more fun in this game than any i have played, and a level up system that is much more natural than The Elder Scrolls past games. The story is very good as well, with some memorable characters and fantastic moments. Side missions can range from the simple retrieve this and that, to crazy "Didn't see that coming" missions. The only thing i can say that is wrong that DOESN'T involve small glitches that Bethesda is working on is some of the textures. This is a big picture game, and that big picture is amazing. But get up close to a mountain and tree and you can see the polygons and rough edges.Though the game isn't meant to be examined up close, its meant for you to look out over a cliff and see the mist at the top of a mountain, or the gloom of a cave. The only way you can hate this game is to go out and find the glitches, but sometimes a game is made from the glitches and laughing about them. Skyrim is the love letter from Bethesda. Did you love Oblivion? Here is a better story, graphics, combat, pretty much everything that is still the game you love. Did you love Fallout 3? We have the questing, finishers, and feel from that game. Did you love Fallout: New Vegas? We have the weight feel and spectacular writing from that game as well. A truly amazing game, one that you shouldn't hate because of its few short-comings, but should be loved for listening to the customer and giving them what they have wanted for 5 long years.

"Perfect" is as close to a description as your going to get with this game, though it isn't quite that, but going any lower can't be done with this game. Arkham Asylum was one of my favorite games, giving me the power of batman with all his gadgets, strength, smarts, and more importantly his morals. Arkham City follows on every aspect in that and adds much more. I loved it from start to finish, but there were times where i felt that it could have done more with the villains. There were plenty of them, ranging from the well known Gotham faces such as Joker and Penguin, to the almost unknown Mad Hatter and Dead Shot. It's the many cameos that ruin it though, very few get any real time on screen and when they do its rarely a memorable moment. You will smile, cringe, or chuckle at them being there, but something new will appear and will move on. But that is my only problem with this game, there is nothing else i don't like. The combat is fast, powerful, and makes you feel like the Dark Knight is in control. The visuals of this game are awe-inspiring, sometimes its enough to make you just wana stop and look at it for a moment. Voice acting is a major step up this time, which every person in the game giving it a Oscar worthy sound. Mark Hamill steals the show as Joker, who is having problems after the first game, and Nolan North as Penguin is just as good to. The open world of Arkham City is a true open world experience as well, with the intensive being Riddler placing over 400+ trophies for you to find. Sadly Scarecrow does not make a return, and while those **** he had any, are hard to fill, Riddler himself makes an appearance that is as memorable as any in the game. The story is vast and worth every minute of your time, but cameos are many and never given much time. Even Robin has one, but like the rest is only brief and just there to make you smile. Batman: Arkham City is worth you time and money though, be it if your a comic book lover, action game lover, or just someone who wants a great game for Christmas, you can't go wrong with this.

I love the Assassins Creed series. Brotherhood was a surprise favorite of mine but AC2 still ranks as one of my all time favorite games. Revelations had alot to live up to, almost the entire original development team is gone from the last games and this would end the saga for Altair and Ezio. Sadly, it does not do what Brotherhood did, feel fresh. Brotherhood came in, having low expectations, but gave me the city of Rome, which was beautiful, a story that was good but not too over the top, and a new multiplayer then i couldn't put down till i had mastered it. Revelations feels like Brotherhood with a new polish and a few tweaks, but not much after that. The graphics department is amazing, but sadly the rushed feeling is there. Cutscenes can have problems, such as sound lag and sometimes the sound would cut out altogether. The new hookblade though is a accepted addition, which i was hesitent at first, it made sense. Constantinople wasn't as "close to the ground" as Rome was historically, so they needed a way to get you up faster. Beyond the hookblade though, u wont be using the other new gadgets as much as they say you would. Bombs are cool, but not necessary. The story in this is excellent, Ezio is as much of a badass as an old man then he was in his younger years. The characters are more likable and memorable, but in all it almost feels like it is the same thing as Brotherhood. You are still looking for new assassins to join the cause and you need to take down the Templar Order. What sets it apart though, and ultimately more fun, is the inclusion of Altair. It is also worth mentioning that Assassins Creed 1 is included in the Ps3 version for free, but only if you have the space on your hardware to hold it and if you really want to, this does not come with trophies and is a totally different game than its younger siblings. Anyway, Altair's story is continued and you find out what happend after the events of the first game with improved combat and new voice that fits the timeframe then the American one did in 07. Finally there is Desonds story, which as before is not as fun as his ancestors but this time comes with a twist. He is stuck in the Animus and needs to conclude his ancestors stories before he can get out. Finding collectibles in the main story that act like feathers and flags did in past games unlock new first-person sections that are ok at best, not amazing but a nice break of pace. The final part to this game is the muliplayer, which while still fun, isnt the same feeling. For some unknown reason they decided to take some of the old maps from Brotherhood and cut them in half for new modes, which while the modes are cool, i would have liked to see how stealthy you can get in a larger map. The new chracaters are fun to play as, but it needs a patch to fix them always doing the same kill, walking up and stabbing them in the chest. All characters do it and its as much eye candy and badass as a unique kill. All in all this game is a good deal for a PS3 owner, you get in essence 3 games, the main one, assassins creed 1, and its multiplayer, which has a storyline all of its own. Sadly, this isnt as fresh as Brotherhood was, and feels like if Ubisoft had given themselves more time on it than just a year this could have been a much better game.

Borderlands could have something for any shooter fan. For those who just want to shoot up bandits and creatures around the desolated world, then it can deliver. For those who want to explore this new land and find new areas and items, it has that in bundles. To experience the true feel of this game, you want to have both, and then you can truly appreciate this game. Graphics are very unique, Gearbox called it the 'box art' style, and it looks amazing. Though looking up close, the textures can look bland and unattractive, the world itself is can either make u sit in awe or make you cringe from its grotesque look. You have four different players to choose from, but the overall experience wont change depending on who you play as. Soldiers can deploy turrets, Hunters have a hawk that hurts enemies and drops extra loot, Beserker has an extra strong melee, and the Siren can turn invisible. These special abilities can be fun, but the main gameplay is the for all of them. Story here is pretty strait-forward, you are a fortune hunter looking for "The Vault" and there are a lot of people who don't want u to find it or just don't like your face at **** story isn't what is so great though and isn't why you play Borderlands, its the massive amount of guns and enemies, there is said to be over 100,000 guns, enough to make any collector drool. The enemies can seem standard at first, just some mutated dogs and birds with some bandits, but when these simple bad guys branch out into stronger or more deadly opponents, that's when you really have some fun. It is always enjoyable to have a small bandit screaming at you with an ax and you blow his head off. The vehicles in this game will need some getting used to, but once you do its alot of fun. The best aspect of this game is the co-op, either local or online. Getting online co-op can be very rewarding. If you were stuck on a mission and couldn't figure it out, then you would get online and find a party that is on the same mission and have up to three other people figure it out with you. When you got offline and back to your game, all of the stats, weapons, and experience you got with then transfers to your game. Though, be careful, i was hit with a glitch by doing this. I got online and played for a while with a group who was farther ahead than me, though i had already beaten the game and was on my second play though. Because we finished missions after the one i was on, that means all of the missions i finished were done but i hadnt done the mission to get to those yet, so my game didn't know what to do and didn't let me finish my mission anymore, meaning i could go on anymore. That said, Borderlands is extremely fun and addictive and deserves your time. It might be too long to some or may be too RPG like for their taste, but to most this game is a blast and can give you a good laugh once in a while as well.

Go ahead, fanboys hate me, but i found to be one of the most disappointing game i have ever played. I should mention that i was a huge fan of the Alien series and Predator, but not AVP. When i saw that this game was not following the story of the AVP movies, i got excited because i wanted to play as a Predator or an Alien. Sadly, only half of my dream came true. Graphics in this game use the Unreal Engine, which worked really well in Bioshock , one of my favorite games of all time. But this game looks pretty bad, though not so bad that its terrible. While graphics could appeal to some, the gameplay is a huge downside to this game. The Marines are a standard FPS, two guns, grenades, melee, and it works well, but you dont FEEL like a stranded human fighting two extraterrestrial races, but a guy who is running around following orders. The Predator is easily the best of them all, multiple weapons, exciting gadgets, gruesome kills, it has it all. Who dosnt want to rip the spine out of a human and lovingly stroke it? Then you get the Alien, and my personal favorite of the races, but not because of this game. The controls are just plain awful, its so hard to figure out where you are once you start hopping from wall to wall and you attacks dont have any kick to them. Now, the ability to command a "Facehugger" to latch itself to a helpless human and a view of the mini head inside your mouth when you preform a special attack is awesome, but dosnt make up for the fact that its so hard to figure out the controls in the first place. Although the campaign has alot of flaws, it also is the only good part about this game. The multiplayer is useless and boring, after a few rounds i got bored and went back to the campaign. You play as one of the three races in a struggle for survival across multiple maps with alot of different game types, how could they mess up? Easy, with a server that take forever to load a match and rewards for leveling up that dont do anything but make you look cooler. When you level up, you unlock skins but dont unlock guns, abilities, or anything else, just how you look. How you play on your first match is how you play the rest of the time, guns are found just laying around and some of the maps, while familiar and i can appreciate the love some of them got, can range from good to terrible. Remember the pyramid from the original AVP? Its here, and it also changes every few minutes. Try playing as an alien while all the walls are changing, you get disoriented so easily and become an easy target by the other races because you'll be roaming around the ceiling and unable to figure out where you went. All in all, the campaign can give you some fun for a while as an predator and a marine but none for the alien, and the multiplayer is so empty that its hard to find a match now, and if you do it isnt worth your time.

What is really odd is that this game has easily the most split community i have ever seen. Before its release, the majority was saying that this game could make MW2 look like a beta. Closer to release, people started saying that they have had enough of COD and were going avoid this one. Now that its here, people cant decide if they like it or not. You either think MW2 was better (which that dosnt make sense, because no matter where u looking someone was bashing MW2 for being "too glitched" or "has too many fanboys". or you love this game. It the context of things, this game really will make hardcore fans cringe or jump for joy. What should be said is that this game looks fantastic. Comparison to MW2, this game tried to hold back on the polished visuals for the realistic sense, but still looks amazing. Its useless to go on about gameplay, you either love it or hate it, simple as that. Story in my opinion is better because you focus on one person, not multiple sides. This makes the story flow and you feel more for the characters then jumping back and forth from one person to the next. Mulitplayer is the big selling point, but also is why most people are split. For the first time, a COD game incorporated some RPG element into the game, letting you customize everything but the shape of your body. There is now a money system, where you gain 'money' after a match and completing challenges. These may be to much for the hardcore shooter fans who only want to kill and not worry about how much that new gun is going to cost. I grew up with RPGs, while i dont play them anymore i do appreciate the customization and freedom you have, you really do feel like its your person now. The maps are very well done, though some are more popular then others. One thing i noticed is just how many ideas are taken from another big shooter franchise, Halo. The ability to 'vote' on the map you play next and heavy customization are almost identical to the system Halo: Reach uses. This is not a bad thing, this system is really good, but it feels like some elements were pretty much stolen. The last part to this game is Zombies, made popular to WaW. Only this time you can play online with up to 4 people. This is my favorite part of the pack, very addictive and fun. This game feeling like your are being given three games in one, and you have a 1 out of 3 chance of finding something you like. Is this game perfect for everyone? No, as you can see by the mulitiple 'negative' and 'mixed' reviews, not everyone feels the same about this game. You might want to rent this game first, then if you like it buy it because it will give you hours upon hours of entertainment, then if you dont then no worries, just return it.

Unlike Modern Warfare 2, you get World at War for its campaign, which it excelled in. The graphics are something of a Call of Duty selling point, Infinity Ward has been making great looking shooters for years now, and Treyarch hasnt been up to the standards of their older and more experienced brother in the franchise, but this game is still a great looking **** gameplay is something that everyone knows and loves, and the story is the classic World War 2 story that Call of Duty worked on for years. But beyond all that, this is still a great game, and i never really was able to play all of older ww2 games, so i didnt mind the setting. The campaign is easily that shinny part of this game, but you cant forget what really made this game and Treyarch so famous, **** Zombies. This is the first time a COD game went into the undead setting, and it worked really well and made this game a must have back in the day because finding out how far you could get and what strategy to use to stay alive was exciting and adrenaline boosting. Mulitplayer, while nothing to be ashamed about, became outdated quickly after Infinity Ward made it so amazing in both of their Modern Warfare games. Is it bad? No, it is still a great multiplayer and the ideas are refreshing after playing so much MW multiplayer. This game would have become one of the best in the COD series if it wasnt for Modern Warfare, but that dosnt mean that it isnt good. This game is really cheap now at any retailer, so it isnt a waste of ur time or money, pick up a copy on your way to get Black ops, thats wat i did and i dont regret it.

One thing that should be said is that you dont get this game for its amazing story, or its fantastic gameplay, because sly 1 and 3 arnt that great, while sly 2 is the masterpiece of this collection. You get this game because you remember playing the PS2 version of these games and really want to feel that again. Sly is a basic action game, while it does have a great story, the level design and the combat is nothing special. I will note that the final boss of this game is easily one of my favorite villains. Sly 2 is the real treat, great story+great combat+great characters make this one of the best games iv ever played, and iv played alot of games. Thats saying alot that a game that came out in 2004 can be that good still after all these years. Finally you get Sly 3, which it really isnt a bad game but i feel that following up a near perfect game like its predecessor, it should have been better. The real tragedy is that they decided to change most the voice cast for 3, which really ruins the experience when you built up those characters so well in the last game. After your done with those the game gives you mini games, but they dont have any use at all. They are cheap, quickly made games that are used to slap on the move sticker on the package. The final note i should mention is that trophy hunters rejoice, this collection seperates the three games and mini games as full trophy packs, meaning you can get three platinum's in one collection, and they arn't that hard to get. The end result is a game that brings back memories and the satisfying ding of a new trophy. This is truly worth the $40 price tag, and deffinetly worth a rent if you dont want to buy it.

I was really surprised by this game, i got is a present from a friend who got it cheep. Not to be the bad guy, i played it and found myself enjoying the experience a person would want from being a ghostbuster. The team is great with all the original voices and the story is actually really well done. If you have watched any of the movies, you will point at the screen going 'hey, i remember that' many times before the game is done. All your favorites are back, Slimer, Stay Puft, the Librarian, and of course there is the dancing toaster. The controls were surprisingly good, the game handles pretty well. There are several different beams/slime you can shoot, which adds well needed variety, but you can pretty much beat the game with nothing but the normal stream. One thing i found odd is that the game tried to pull a Dead Space by putting the majority of your hub on your pack, overheat, health, cooling, its all there on the pack. This would have been fine if not for the fact that sometimes the screens aren't visible and are too small. Most the time i just cooled off after every ghost i captured. What is a really nice thing to see is the verity in enemies, from possessed object to the super natural ghosts, there is quite a large verity. I did find this game to repetitive, it even repeats a few levels. One really big shocker was just how good the multiplayer is. Instead of having people beat each other up, they help each other by capturing ghosts and the more you get the higher you level up. This is a nice breather after all the shooters such as Mw2 or Red Dead, but i don't like how the it is set up. The leveling up system is confusing, and the community for it is failing fast, so soon it will be another lost server. The final work i have for this game is that it is the perfect game for those who love the movies or just want a good si-fy thriller.

I have a soft spot for this game. This was my very first game i got for the PS3, hell i got it before i got a PS3. I find just about perfect, the edge of your seat excitement that many horror games are missing today. I can honestly say i have played this game 5 times, i love it that much. The sheer thrill of blasting apart a necramorph, the jump out your seat shriek of the enemy never gets old. I do have to say that by my 3rd play-though i could memorize the sequence of when i was going to be attacked, but it still shocked me on just how much fun that still **** lighting is fantastic, the sounds are perfect, and the fact this game engulfs you into it by having no distracting hub is pure genius. Now, before i go ranting on about how much more i love this game, i do have to point out the faults. I am giving this game a perfect 10 because of just how much i love it, but that doesn't mean its perfect. I find the melee attacks useless, i know that its a smart idea to make sure Isaac isn't a karate master, but waving your arm around is just useless. The other part is that the text screens, such as instructions or collectible info, are so small its almost impossible to read. I do play this game on a HD TV, but i still cant see a thing. Though it should be mentioned that neither of these things ruin the experience, they just seem like an idea that didn't work. This game is a blast, though isn't for those with weak stomachs. I also don't understand why the PS3 version got a lower score, I have played both and could not find a difference but the controller. No matter what, this game will put you on the edge and make you want more.

The first Bioshock was the pinnacle of great story, gameplay, and visuals. To say i was excited for the squeal would be an understatement. Sadly, i wasn't as impressed by this one as it's older counterpart. The game gets one thing right, improving the gameplay to where its easy to grasp what it is you need to do. Playing as a Big Daddy in the concept is really exciting, to play as a being that has killed you countless times in the last game would make any person jump for the chance, but they decided to downgrade the experience to a human level, and at times i actually said 'i don't feel like a Big Daddy'. The story behind why you are so weak is that your little sister has been away from you for 10 years, so your body is decaying. It's understandable as to why the developers decided not to make you this power-filled behemoth, but i still would have liked to be one from the beginning. The gameplay itself is some-what improved from the last, they have added some new weapons, such as the drill being your first weapon, to liven things up a bit. Sadly, some of them arn't very fun at all. The hack gun, which is used to hack turrets and camera from a distance, sometimes dont work and they must be hacked in real time, meaning that in the other game you could brave being bombarded by bullets and then hack it, you have to stand there and take the rain of pain in able to hack. The visuals havn't changed, but in the case of this game that is ok, it's unique and memorable. The main thing i noticed is that the beginning of the game feels like a 'you have to do this to go on'. You are on a train in the beginning and you have two stops, each of which require you to go get something to move on. These moment, while they were technically in the last game, never felt like this. The newest edition of this is the multiplayer, which it is quite good. You are a member of a new organization in Rapture that is testing new plasmids. While the story behind it is strait forward, the concept of it is quite good. You level up to get new plasmids, cloths, and guns. The only problem with it is that it takes forever to level up. In an over all gaming experience, this game is pretty good. The problem it never got the appreciation is deserved is because it was a game squeal to one of the best games of all time. Now, it should be noted that the parent company of the first, Irrational Games, did not work on the squeal. This lack of the parent company behind the project does alarm some, but to be brunt this is a good game

I feel a bit of a soft spot for this game. I love to dress up some dude in what ever i feel like and then to smack around a few zombies. That's where this game is at its strongest, customization and the wacky ways you can beat the crap out of zombies. I love finding out i can combine a power drill with a bucket to make a meat grinding mask, or put a chainsaw on pretty much anything and watch the carnage. I would have loved this game more than any other if it had a free roam where i could just go out and do what ever i wanted, but thats where the game fails. It has a 'go do this' system that many found unnecessary. The main story to this game is that you need to find medicine for your daughter and you have to give it to her in a certain amount of time. While i do want to save small children, id rather do what this game was created for, killing zombies with no remorse. Not only do have that issue, but you also have bosses that are either A) to easy and are annoying more than fun or B) To hard and are still annoying. The graphics on this game aren't that impressive for a game that had just a few (more than 3) years to complete, but they do get the job done by loading the screen full of mindless, brain hungry zombies. With these downsides, you would think i would lower my score, but this game does deliver in the one spot that does count, killing zombies. It is really fun to see what you can create and how they bash, smash, or rip those undead beings.

While i can understand where peoples frustration for this game is coming from, this game really makes you look at it and want to beat it. The main drawback to this game are not its controls, but how the controls are used. The controls are more or less fantastic, simply moving, jumping, and accelerating. But the catch is that the levels are of the trial and error sorts. I don't think there is anyone that could play this game and beat it without dying at least 50 times. The game throws enemy's, saws and forms of killer ground to make you earn the ending. Thankfully, the game is forgiving, giving you no lives of which you have to keep a watch on. The graphics are you average 2-D plat-former that looks incredible to some, but a few will find they wanted more out of it. What is really incredible about this game is the throwback to older 2-D plat-formers, such as Mario and Ninja Gaiden. Each new world opens with a cut scene that is a parody of a well loved game, but doesn't edger on the ridiculous. The main reason this game has gotten so many bad scores from the users is because of the levels that make this game so challenging. I literally died over 100 times in one simple level, but the placement of the enemies and the saws are what killed me. But the part that i loved is that in the end i wanted to beat the level because i wanted to see the ending. Some people found this game too hard and would rather have a game that didn't have them yelling at their Tv set, but some love a good challenge, and this game delivers that 10 fold.

While the music genre is arguable falling in the past year, Rock Band 3 has shown that it is still fun to play. The menu system has been given a fresh new look that is much easier to understand and navigate, and the fun of grabbing friends and family to play the tunes you love is still as strong and now easier to get to. The real disappointment is just how similar the game is to its predecessor, Rock Band 2. The gameplay and the visuals are the exact same, not to say that those are bad things though. There are two new additions, keyboard and pro mode. I did not have a chance to use the pro mode, but i did use the keyboard/keytar. It works, but the whammy/overdrive buttons are awkward to use. In all, this game is still fantastic, but its pretty much more of the same thing. But dont we all need more Rock Band?
