Doom is a great game, but it is not for me. I am a huge fan of the original Doom on the PS1, but not the reboot. The gameplay is great, the graphics are decent on the Switch, and it runs alright. But I have the same problem with this version as I did with the PS4 version, and that's the fact that I spent about 3 hours on a level. The maps are too large to the point where you can't figure out where to go. As a result, I couldn't bring myself to finish the game. As the Angry Video Game Nerd put it in one of his videos (for a different game) "If you want a good 'where the f*** do I go' type of game you'll enjoy this one."

This is probably my least favorite Mario game that I've played. The point of the game is to collect as many coins throughout the levels as possible, but that's just what ruins it. Not only does it get repetitive, and there are redundant new power ups that help you generate even more coins, but the game is so easy the point where it is not enjoyable. When you collect all those thousands of coins throughout the game, you also get lives and lives and more lives. I finished the game with about 300 lives without using any secrets or glitches. The graphics are good, but the soundtrack is just re-used from the 2009 Wii version. Don't buy this game unless you are new to gaming or you are under 8 years old. It is a waste of money and you can't lose - which sort of contradicts the point ****.

This game was fun when I was 10, but coming back to it 6 years later, it isn;t the same. 3D Land is so easy to the point that it is not enjoyable. Without using any "hacks" or "secrets" or "glitches" I finished the game with over 300 lives. The graphics are good, the soundtrack is terrific, and it is a decent relaxing game to play. But it's too easy to the point where it's boring.

I really enjoyed Super Mario Odyssey. I have played through almost every Mario game, and Odyssey is my second favorite of them all, behind 64. The level design is brilliant. The levels are massive and there are a ton of secrets and things to do throughout the levels and after you beat the game. From a visual standpoint, this might be the most beautiful game I've ever played. I was constantly in awe at the incredible scenery and graphics, and had to stop and take screenshots every so often. The soundtrack is forgettable for the most part, but there are a few good tracks. Mulitplayer mode is disappointing. Playing as Cappy is boring for Player 2 and makes the game less intuitive for PLayer 1. In terms of difficulty, Odyssey isn't particularly difficult. There are no lives. Whenever you "die", you lose coins. There were a few tricky sections, but for the most part Odyssey wasn't extremely challenging. But that's not a bad thing at all. It wasn't too easy, or too difficult. Just right. Overall, Odyssey is an essential game to own if you have a Switch.

This is pretty much the worst racing game I have EVER played. And keep in mind I am a fan of racing sims and cars in general. This game has lots of potential, but it is simply terrible. My biggest complaint about the game is the selection of cars. Now before you argue "it has 1,000 cars" only around 150 are actually selectable and have an interior view. The rest of the 850 cars from the previous games are only selectable on certain REAL-LIFE days (not joking) and literally don't have interiors. One of the biggest flaws with this game aside from that is that whenever you buy a new car in the game, the car you are CURRENTLY driving is erased from your garage. I've had to buy THREE PT Cruisers (I own the car irl and wanted to drive it) because it keeps getting erased from my garage whenever I buy something else. It is mind-numbingly boring doing the same few races over and over again in the same car just so I can save up to buy a car that was erased from my garage. It's really stupid. The gameplay isn't so bad, but the controls are absolutely awful. Why use the ANALOG TRIGGERS to SHIFT GEARS when they could instead be used to precisely control acceleration or braking? The pressure sensitive face buttons work well enough, but coming from Forza I always intend to downshift and wind up slamming on the brakes instead. Oh, and the sounds from the cars are awful. They really do sound like vacuum cleaners. The worst part is, you can't her your OWN car, but every other car around you is clearly audible. This throws me off because I keep thinking I should shift because my car is revving high when really it was just the car next to me making all the noise. There are constant frame drops and the game gets choppy when more than 5 cars are on the screen. On split-screen, VERY FEW cars are selectable, I'm talking around 30 cars. In Forza, you can choose ANY CAR on split-screen. Oh yeah, and they completely dropped online mode for this game. GT6's multiplayer is being dropped, for sure, now that GT Sport is out, which has an even worse car roster. And to top it all off, GameStop won't even give me a PENNY for this game! No joke, the trade value on the app for Gran Turismo 5 is $0.00. I'm serious. Good thing I paid only $5 for this game. It's total trash. Forza is SO MUCH BETTER!

Battlefront is one of my favorite FPS's. The game is highly addictive and fun to play with friends. You don't need to have watched Star Wars to understand the game. I like the Star Cards system that lets you unlock more abilities which can be used with the press of a button. The power-ups across the map are nice too. One thing I would have liked is a single player campaign, which this game does not offer. However, the $30 price of this game warrants the lack of a campaign. Overall this is a good game, I highly recommend it for fans of FPS games and Star Wars.

This game is a combination of Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64. It has the same general gameplay and track design of the original game, but the character models, sounds, and items are reminiscent of the N64 game. I like the soundtrack, contrary to what others say about it. The tracks, while flat like on the SNES, are fun to race on. Coins also make a return from the SNES. There is local multiplayer with one cartridge, 40 tracks, and a lot of challenge. You're getting the full package with this one.

If you don't own this game, let me just tell you that--BUY IT! Just buy it! This is the best game on the Wii U. The gameplay is perfect with tight controls and lots of variety with the characters and stages. You have your usual options for time, battle type, teams, and items. New to the franchise is the option to make any stage totally flat. This is much better for hardcore players like myself. There are lots of new characters as well, such as Bowser Jr., Duck Hunt, Rosalina, Villager, and more, as well as DLC characters such as Ryu and Mewtwo. The main attraction has to be the online mode. You can choose between "for fun", which has normal stages and items, and "for glory" which has the flat stages and no items. While the online mode is a HUGE improvement over Brawl's, it can get really laggy to the point where it is unplayable. However, most of the time it is fine. Another feature I like is if anyone quits the battle, they can't play online for another 15 minutes, that means nobody will drop out in the middle of a match. This game is just about perfect. It's the only reason I still have my Wii U. Do yourself a favor, spend a bit of money, and BUY THIS GAME!

This is a remastered version of the original Tetris game with lots of extra content. I'll start off with the classic endless mode. The colorful graphics are pleasing to look at, with nice animations and sound effects. There are lots of new modes as well to keep you busy, in case you get bored of the original game. Most of them are actually really fun. There is also an online mode. Last time I played it only took a few minutes to find a match. Overall, you can pick this up for dirt cheap and it's the definitive version of the arcade classic.

This is a perfect remake of one of my favorite games on the NES: Kirby's Adventure. This is one of the few GBA remakes where the music wasn't totally ruined. In fact, I actually like the remastered soundtrack! The graphics are great and the animations are incredible for a GBA game. The gameplay is great, the controls are perfect, and there are lots of copy abilities to experiment with. This game isn't as easy as people say, but it won't pull your hair out. There are lots of boss battles and really tough levels. Overall this is one of my favorite games of all time and it's just as good, if not better than the NES version.

At last, Tekken finally makes it to a handheld device, and the result is good. It has the same 3D environments as Tekken 3, and the graphics aren't too bad for a GBA game. The main difference between this game and the console installments is the pacing. This game is noticeable slower than other Tekken games. One thing I like about Tekken Advance is that the tag team element from Tekken Tag Tournament is here. You can have a tag team of 3 characters. Overall this is a great Tekken game for the Game Boy Advance that is a good handeld fighter.

This is one of the titles that defined the DS. The levels are a perfect balance between easy and challenging, there are great new power-ups like the blue Koopa shell, Mega and mini mushrooms, and lots of secrets. The multiplayer modes are a BLAST. You can either battle for a certain number of stars in 2D multiplayer arenas, or play through probably 30 different touch mini games. This is the best DS game I have ever played. The reason I give it a 9/10 is because Nintendo discontinued the Wi-Fi service, which really takes away from the experience. The tracks are well-designed and fun to race on, and the graphics are insanely good for a DS game. Once you start playing for a few hours, you'll realize that the AI is far too easy, and you can SEE the rubber banding. That's where online came in. There wasn't very much lag but since Nintendo took away the Wi-Fi functionality from all DS games, it doesn't work anymore. However, you can still play locally with friends and it is still as fun as ever. The battle mode is great as well. This is an essential for any owners of the DS.

The Dr. Mario experience is here, but it just isn't the same as the original. The new graphics and sound are ugly in my opinion, and the pills drop way too slowly. The latency when a pill touches another pill is very apparent and makes the game too easy. If you have no other way to play Dr. Mario, get it if you want. Dr. Mario on NES, Game Boy and N64 are better though, just saying.

This is an excellent portable Sims game. In fact, I think it actually can compare to the console and PC versions! You can create your own home from scratch, and there are plenty of customization options. The graphics are pretty impressive for a DS game. The most surprising thing for me is that the DS version even lets you go into the town. It isn't small, either. In fact, it's almost as big as the PC map! There are plenty of things to do, people to meet, and goals to accomplish. I love this game, and it is so addictive. I strongly recommend this game if you are a fan of The Sims games.

This has to be one of the best games I have ever played. It is more than just a life simulator. Of course, you can create your Sim, and from the beginning you can create children, spouses, or friends for your Sim. I prefer to start from scratch and do the whole relationship thing. What makes this different from real life is that you can build your dream house (it is actually very intuitive), control many Sims, and it has some game elements to it. You have to try to complete Sim's wants and try to avoid their fears to give them aspiration points, which can unlock special items not available for purchasing. It also adds to your life score. There are many expansions to the game: University, Pets, Seasons, and more. I have the University pack which allows a Sim to go to college and it is like a whole other game. The Sims 2 actually brings me emotion, and it feels like I am actually controlling real people sometimes. Those moments when your Sim falls in love with another Sim, when a baby is born, when a teen turns into an adult, all are extremely satisfying moments and can bring out my emotions like no other game can. 12 years later, this is the best Sims game and I am still hooked to this day.

This is one of the hardest Mario games I've played, which is very surprising considering Mario's recent history. The graphics are good and the gameplay is fun but challenging. The 4-player co-op mode returns, with 4 players able to play on the same screen. One new feature that I really like is that one player can use the GamePad while everyone else is playing with Wii Remotes, and the person using the GamePad can either help or harm the other players by touching the screen to create small platforms. The game doesn't take very long to complete, but there is a $20 DLC pack which gives Luigi his own game. It is called New Super Luigi U. It has just as many levels as the main game, except they are completely different and the levels each last 1 minute. This means you have to speed through the levels with Luigi's slideyness and high jumping. Overall this is another great Mario platformer that's still worth a purchase.

In every level, there are three hidden green stars that you have to find in order to unlock certain levels. The co-op mode is so much fun. It is like New Super Mario Bros. Wii's multiplayer mode except now in a 3D game. Some levels make use of the Wii U GamePad. For example, in one level you need to blow in the mic to move platforms. In other levels, you need to touch the screen to raise certain objects. This is one of the best Mario games ever created and I highly recommend it.

This game is SEVERELY underrated. Between the Wii U, PS Vita, and PS3, the PS3 offers the best version of this game. The cars are extremely fun to drive, and they all sound great. Drifting is exhilarating, and the races against the most wanted drivers are very challenging but fair. The controls are perfect, and the soundtrack is pretty good, too. The open world is very large, with DLC offering expansions to the map. There is a decent lineup of cars, not that many but the DLC packs are relatively affordable and add some nice cars. The online mode is spectacular, and supports 8 players (instead of 6 on Wii U and 4 on Vita.) Players compete in many different events, usually around 6 per session. Some of the events are races, team races, stunting, near misses, and time trials. The online experience is unlike any other racing game I've played, and it is so fun and addictive. This game is worth a try for such a cheap price. It is one of my favorite games on the PS3.

This is an excellent fighting game. The character roster is huge and filled with great characters, and the game even has DLC characters like Mewtwo, Ryu, and Cloud. The graphics amazing. While they aren't as good as the Wii U version (obviously), the graphics are insanely good for a 3DS game. Each character in the roster has lots of different moves that are easy to remember. I have mastered multiple different characters, such as Yoshi, Mario, Captain Falcon, Toon Link, Ryu, Peach, and Donkey Kong. The stages are very good, and if you press X on any stage, it becomes completely flat. Be warned, however: this game has some problems on the standard-sized 3DS. First of all, the game takes forever to load, and you can't even suspend the game. Once you exit the game, the system reboots. Additionally, it is very hard to see what's going on when there are 3 or 4 people. On the New 3DS XL, all of these issues are gone. One issue I experienced across all versions of the 3DS was with the online mode. Many times it simply didn't let me play for no reason. Most of the time, playing online is a lag-fest, and does a poor job keeping up with the pace of the game. Overall, this game is almost as good as the Wii U version. It is definitely worth a buy, especially if you have a New 3DS.

I found this game at GameStop for under $10, and Titanfall is worth the price. While the game takes place in a futuristic setting, it is not ruined by gimmicks and unfair advantages (unlike Black Ops 3.) As a shooter, it is fun and satisfying, but the mech battles are the best part of the game. You can pilot your titan, make your titan follow and defend you, or ride on other people's titans. There are plenty of modes to choose from, but my favorites are Attrition (team deathmatch) and capture the flag. The game has two problems though. The first is that in every match, along with the human players there are AI players, which are very easy to kill and are kind of annoying. I would prefer an entirely human lobby. Second, there is no free for all mode. That is a disappointment, but for $8, Titanfall is absolutely worth it.
