Shenmue I & II3
Dec 4, 2025
This game is fundamentally a bad game, it's just a walking simulator where you walk from point A to B, and the formula doesn't change.Clearly, this game is here to bring to life the virtual fantasy of the creator to have a Japanese sandbox. But honestly, calling this a game is a stretch; it's just an interactive movie with one of the worst and most eerily autistic dialogues I have ever seen in a video game. So I had to drop this game.

Dishonored: Definitive Edition4
Dec 3, 2025
With stealth games, you want flexibility in how you kill or stealth through missions, where it can play out in various ways, yet Dishonoured, a known stealth game, lacks this. First off, you can't move enemies while knocking them out, but only after they are unconscious, which has led to some frustrating encounters. Then it's pretty standard in stealth games that you can either go guns blazing or go completely stealth, but in this game, there are no fun tricks in between, like in Metal Gear Solid 5, where they introduced the Idroid, which added so much chaos and flexibility to the game, let alone all the other features in that game that dwarf **** more importantly, these characters are boring. I don't care about saving Emily. So I don't see the point in continuing.

Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of the Night & Rondo of Blood6
Dec 3, 2025
I played Symphony of the Night for 40 mins, beat the 2 boss associates and progressed further until I versed an enemy swinging a massive ball. I see the appeal, but to be honest, exploration and looking through every nook and cranny is a lot more boring than expected; I don't just want a potion or a trivial relic, I want fun dialogue and side characters, but Maria showed up, said nothing of substance and then left. Then with the combat itself, it was fun, but spamming square, crouching, and then sometimes using special got boring really quickly. The combat feels restricted and could have felt more addictive in 3D. The enemies look boring and are killed the same way. The music was alright, and the best thing about the game is its art design. It's a good game, but I am not in a rush to complete it anytime soon.

Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition7
Jul 21, 2025
Borderlands 1 is clearly the worst in the series. Its gameplay isn't as fluid as Borderlands 3, its RPG elements aren't as fun as Borderlands 2, its loot is boring, its characters or villains and dialogue just aren't that interesting, but the core is there. Its still a decent start for the series and thankfully it was a shorter Borderlands experience so it didn't overstay.

Resident Evil 7: biohazard8
Mar 8, 2025
Resident Evil 7 was pretty good or me—it maintained tension throughout, I loved the resource management, and the twist at the end was satisfying, especially as I was able to piece it together before the reveal. I preferred Resident Evil 4 slightly more for its gameplay and OSTs, but RE7 had the better story. I was going to give the game a 7, but Madhouse difficulty, the unlockables eg the saw, and its replayability took the game to another level.

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe4
Mar 5, 2025
I just finished The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, and to be honest, it was pretty boring. This was my first time playing Stanley Parable, and I just didn’t get much out of it. The gameplay was underwhelming because all I did was walk around like a headless chicken, wandering into random doors and clicking buttons. There’s nothing engaging about it mechanically—it’s just moving from one place to another with no real sense of progression or **** for the story, I don’t think there really was one. It was never explained where all the other people went, and there was no big revelation or moment that tied everything together. It just felt like a bunch of random things happening—one moment you’re pressing a skip button, and the next, you’re holding a bucket. If there was a deeper meaning, it never really landed for me.I get that the main appeal is the narrator, but if you don’t find him funny, the whole experience just falls flat.

Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters5
Mar 5, 2025
The gameplay in Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters is alright, but it becomes frustrating and tedious toward the end. The story is honestly pretty bad—they dumbed down Quark, and the villain wasn’t interesting at all. Overall, this feels like a wasted sequel to the original trilogy.

What Remains of Edith Finch4
Mar 3, 2025
I just finished What Remains of Edith Finch, and to be honest, Edith talks way too much, constantly overexplaining everything and the deaths often come across as a series of narrative gimmicks rather than a thoughtful exploration of grief. Take Gregory’s death, for example—it just feels ridiculous. The game tries to turn a child's drowning into a whimsical, floaty minigame, and instead of being emotional, it comes off as tone-deaf. Gus’s death isn’t much better—it’s over-the-top, and the way it's presented feels more silly than tragic. Then there’s Walter, whose story doesn’t even make sense. He just secludes himself for decades, and we’re meant to accept it at face value. The game asks for so much suspension of disbelief that it’s hard to take seriously. Even the dialogue when it tries to be deep isn’t actually deep. It’s all vague, recycled analogies like "These items have finally come back to me, or maybe I came back to them." It’s just word salad that tries to sound profound but doesn’t actually say anything meaningful. And the way Edith just conveniently learns everything now? The game just shrugs it off with "Oh, they didn’t want to talk about it." That feels like a lazy explanation when nearly every family member has died under bizarre circumstances. Honestly, the only stories I actually enjoyed were Barbara, Molly, Calvin and Lewis. The rest were just poor. By the time I reached the ending, I felt nothing. It’s frustrating because the game clearly wants to be emotional and profound, but between the constant narration, the forced "poetic" writing, and the inconsistent tone, it just doesn’t land. Instead of feeling like a meaningful exploration of loss, it ends up being a rollercoast ride with no real depth. And honestly? I think I just hate walking simulators at this point. This was my first one, and if this is supposed to be one of the best in the genre, then I don’t think this genre is for me. This just wasn’t a good experience.

High on Life5
Mar 2, 2025
High on Life just wasn’t for me. The humor didn’t land, and the lack of a world map or fast travel made exploration frustrating. Long load times and janky gameplay didn’t help, and there was nothing particularly special about the mechanics or story. I felt like I’d be better off playing something like Fallout or Doom as there was no real incentive to stay engaged.

Dropped the game, didn't start Sonic 3: Sonic the Hedgehog Scrap Brain Zone Act 1 (4/10) – Too many cheap deaths and no momentum, making it a chore.
Act 2 (6/10) – Less frustrating, with some fun contraptions.
Act 3 (6/10) – Decent but nothing standout.
Final Zone (5/10) – An anticlimactic Eggman fight, ending the game on a dull note. Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Emerald Hill (7/10) – Great visuals and a fresh pace with two-act zones.
Chemical Plant (7/10) – Speed boosts and ramps make for a fun experience.
Aquatic Ruin (7/10) – Multiple paths keep things engaging.
Casino Night (8/10) – Flashy, fun, and well-paced.
Hill Top (8/10) – Good balance of platforming and speed.
Mystic Cave (8/10) – Great atmosphere with satisfying mechanics.
Oil Ocean (8/10) – Unique setting and solid level design.
Metropolis (9/10) – Best zone in the game, challenging but rewarding.
Wing Fortress (6/10) – Fun but not a standout.
Final Thoughts (6/10) – A solid but unremarkable game overall.

Jak X: Combat Racing5
Dec 17, 2023
The game was fun at the start; it felt very novel using the eco power-ups and racing through the Jak and Daxter world. But by the time you get to finish the 2nd world cup, it becomes a drag and too long. Plus, the controls are clunky, no precision like with Crash Team Racing, and the frames drop all the time when driving fast; sometimes, the car won't even drive in the direction that you point out. Also, the story is just so boring and cliché. Surprising that Naughty Dog made dialogue and a story like that. People saying this holds up today are lying. Play Crash Team Racing; it's much better with smoother, tighter controls and drifting. I've never been so frustrated in a driving game; half the time, you don't have control of your vehicle, so when you die, it never feels fair. And I've never felt that when playing Need For Speed, Crash Team Racing etc Platinumed on 16th November 2023

SOM is a pretty good game! The nemesis system slaps. However, the graphics aren't the best, but this is compensated by the atmosphere. - The story is a bit confusing, especially the ending and side missions get a lil repetitive by the end. - Side characters and even the main character didn't stand out too much, but at least the Uruk's performances were captivating!

Feb 12, 2023
This game takes clear inspiration from previous PlayStation IP. Its traversal mechanics are similar to Uncharted, with branching paths and sci-fi exploration like Ratchet & Clank, as well as combat similar to the new GOW. It is, however, not as good or polished as those. Exploring the biomes and simply progressing the story was enjoyable. Even this late in the game cycle, however, there are numerous bugs, glitches, and frame issues. Furthermore, the game's combat and story are unappealing. The last hour or so, however, was fantastic, but it was far too late.

- Combat was entertaining until act 2 onwards, then it became repetitive - All of the cutscenes are stiff, and the voice acting is kh3-level bad - No memorable OST's - Apart from Shimura, there are no interesting characters - Side missions are a chore to complete - Only the first and last main missions are interesting I've played these types of games thousands of times and they need to die already, e.g Horizon Zero Dawn and Ubisoft AC games. I'm surprised **** Punch made this game because it's terrible in comparison to the Sly trilogy and infamous.

Played the ps4 version on the ps5. Has lots of visual bugs, so it doesn't feel as polished as 2018. But story and content-wise, it beats the previous one. I did feel a bit disappointed with the ending, as some questions still weren't answered with the horn, what was inside the yellow rift and I was hoping to see adult loki, but I guess that's for another game. Also, Odin wasn't as strong of a villain as I thought he would be and raganrok was really short. But overall a solid game and even better after you play the post-game content. This game is really close to being a 9 ie great but it was just a lil slow in some parts.

Gravity Rush 26
Jun 9, 2022
This game is a letdown after playing the better first game. This game has numerous flaws, such as being repetitive in order to lengthen the game; you would complete a task in a side mission, and they would make you repeat the same task three times in total. Some side mission's mission design was also frustrating; clearly, those parts were not tested. The first 99% of the game was boring filler, and the last 1% you'd think would be solid, given that we're supposed to solve this world's mysteries, but it was underwhelming. We were simply handed the story through tedious puzzles and corridor walking. Kat's story didn't require a brand new sequel, only a minor DLC.

I would have given it a higher rating if the ending hadn't been so disappointing. Instead of tying up loose plot threads and figuring out Kat's origin, we beat up on some forgettable bad guy and called it a day. I had a lot of fun with the game, and it felt like a psychological thriller and a mind bender at times. There are clear influences from games like ico and shadow of the colossus; however, the game should have felt more conclusive like those games.
