M3GAN is a slow burn psychological thriller that turns into a slasher. The movie takes its time to build up to the introduction of M3GAN and even then, it takes some time before the actual horror begins. But that doesn't mean it's boring. To really see the journey from beginning to end makes this so much more than just a horror movie while at the same time delivering on the slasher fun towards the end. While I have seen some people, and articles, complain about the movie being PG-13 there is no time during the movie that I feel there was any need for more swears, blood or gore. In fact, it feels a little like it could have ruined the movie and missed an age group this movie was made for. This isn't an R-movie cut down to PG-13, this movie was made from the ground up to be PG-13, and you can tell. But that doesn't mean the movie ever feels childish. This isn't a movie made for children as much as a movie made to be suitable for children. It's still a very mature story even if there is some dark humor and a couple of goofy characters. Take a child who's interested in horror and go watch this, or go watch it yourself. I would also like to praise young Violet McGraw who did some really great emotional acting in what must have been a very tough role.

John Carpenter's masterpiece that started it all. Without it, chances are we wouldn't have slasher as a genre. Jamie Lee Curtis starting her career as "The Queen of Scream", Donald Pleasence as the doom preaching Dr. Loomis and Nick Castle as Michael Myers, the killer in the Captain Kirk mask called "The Shape". It's a movie I appreciate more as an adult than I did as a teenager. I still see all the plot holes and flaws but now I understand more about the work they put into this low budget horror movie and the charm it gives it.

A timeless classic filled with wonder! While the wonder might be lost on some modern viewers, for us who saw this in 1993 it was jaw dropping. While it might not overwhelm people anymore it still looks amazing. It also has an amazing soundtrack, a good and solid script and good acting. This is an adventure for the whole family without ever being childish.

It took me a moment until I understood this was a movie aimed at kids. The family seems mostly normal but then the movie introduces a few weird eccentric characters and after a while you recognize the formula. A teenaged boy, a teenaged girl and a nerdy weird boy who's solving a mystery together. This is a slow burner supernatural murder mystery horror movie for kids and teenagers, however the movie can be a little gross and scary so some kids might want to watch it together with someone older. It's an OK movie for adults as long as you can stand some overacting weird characters. It's in German but the dubbed version on Netflix is pretty good. The reason this movie has a PG-13 rating is that the dubbed version has a character whispering the F-word.

The fairy tale gets new depth and for many it become better. As a child I always found the part with Yoda as boring. It is something I have come to enjoy more as an adult. And lets not forget the shocking revelation in the end that everybody now knows even if they never saw the movie. While I prefer the first movie the difference is really small.

The movie that started it all. To me, this is the best in the series. A perfect space fairy tale! Luke Skywalker, the young hero who learns he has special powers. Obi-Wan, the wise magician that guides Luke. Leia Organa, the princess that needs to be rescued but can still kick a punch by herself. Han Solo, the dashing rogue who unwillingly help them on their quest together with his big and loveable partner Chewbacca. And the two funny robot sidekicks C-3PO and R2D2. Fighting an evil empire and the dark knight Darth Vader. The rest is, like they say, history.

I know there's a lot of hate for this movie and I don't really know why. It does have a lot of drama that some might find boring but other than that I can't see any real reason for the hate. I do feel that people are too hard on Hayden Christiansen. He does a great job as an angsty teenager filled with anger and whose world is turning upside down.

Like many fans I was disappointed when I realised that everything from the Expanded Universe was thrown out, even if I understood the reason for it. Still, J.J. Abrams did an amazing work establishing new loveable characters and starting a new amazing journey for the fans. The movie is not only filled with homage to what has been before but also gives us a nice beginning for a new trilogy.

I loved this movie except for some parts. For one, it's too dark and gritty. Star Wars is a fairy tale. It's fantasy, not a dark Sci-Fi drama. Showing the dark side of the rebels and having them kill good people in a dirty war does not belong in a black and white story about light versus dark, good versus evil. There's also the ending that felt forced. Like they had to find a way for it to end that way. And in some ways it doesn't make sense. It is however still really good and worth seeing.

This is Star Wars as it's supposed to be! After the horrible The Last Jedi I had lost hope for Star Wars but this movie restored it. It was like watching a missing part of the original trilogy. I felt home! So in a way, this movie should have been named "The New Hope".

The movie that ruined Star Wars! If you want to know how to ruin the plot and characters already established in previous movie, watch this movie. It should also be called "how to ruin a character that got popular i the previous movie" and "how to make a movie where 90% is pointless". You can literally cut out 90% of this movie and get everything important. This is without a doubt the worst movie in the series.

It's not easy to fix what Rian Johnson did to the series with The Last Jedi but J.J. Abrams does an amazing job to give the saga a satisfying ending for the fans and trying to give the illusion of a red thread through the last 3 movies. He fixes a lot of things that The Last Jedi did and while he could have done more he has more respect for Rian Johnson's work than Rian Johnson had for J.J. Abrams' work. If you liked The Force Awakens you will most likely like this movie too. However, if you liked The Last Jedi you probably wont like this movie.
