Cautionary tales about the dangers of life in the Internet age can often feel heavy-handed and trite, but M3GAN never feels like an extended Black Mirror episode. Its accessible themes don’t come off as oversaturated, thanks to the wit of the screenplay and a great performance from Williams.

This could easily have smacked of trying too hard, but Johnstone really seems to have pulled it off.

Nota final: 100/100 – Obra-Prima

Picture the ‘Mean Girls’ queen bee Regina George if someone had given her a knife and a death wish. And she was an android.

Though the contortionist-level juxtaposition of an American Girl murderbot should probably be more viscerally satisfying, Cooper’s offbeat humor and Johnstone’s ability to build tension with her characters make for a potent combination.

Much like its eponymous plaything of the future, M3gan packs a surprisingly potent punch that takes a handful of narrative bugs and turns them into a delightfully comedic horror feature.

There’s enough sardonic humor to keep the proceedings edgy enough, but it’s hard not to wish that the filmmakers would’ve taken a cue from their eponymous villain and really pushed things past the boundaries of good taste.

At its titanium core, M3GAN is a mostly on-the-mark commentary on our tech dependence.

An above average horror film that truly shines in the first half as a critique of technology dependence for young people in the modern world. The portrayal of the robot M3gan is an outstanding achievement in physical and voice performance, puppetry, and other practical techniques. The latter part of the film serves up all of the cliche horror tropes, which is unfortunate because Blumhouse was *this close* to actually pulling off something of notable quality.

-M3GAN is one that has the creepy and strange elements as it is one of those horror film’s you don’t see a great deal of violence.

Sosyal medya bir ara çok gönderisi vardı. Tahmin ettiğim gibi bir yapım çıktı. Bence vakit kaybı.

M3GAN is the latest of January, PG-13 horror films to be released and is quite possibly the most glowing example of said description. It is as bared bones and minimalistic as possible, supplying very little in terms of thrills or complexity. It's hindered heavily by its PG-13 rating, as it painfully panders to the strict barriers of its rating and does not quite harmonize with the slasher genre. A film of this mundane and sanitized state would have to make up for it in immense creativity but it simply does not. If the film was to push the envelope a little further in terms of it's content, appealing more to true fans of horror and not just a forgettable movie for high school aged kids to zone in and out of, then the movie might be a bit more redeemable but alas, this is a PG-13 horror film in it's truest form.
