Unfortunately unplayable due to how motion sickness inducing the camera movement are. Really wish I could play, but there's no options that fix this issue.

No options menu, no points. Seriously, it's not 30 years ago. The lack of accessibility forethought here for a console showcase is baffling.

So much bloom and lens flare I can't see the rest of the game. These things need options to disable, seeing is important in video games.

Game is great but the lack of basic accessibility options from a AAA is unacceptable. Camera auto rotation is abhorrent and has no toggle, no ultrawide support, 60fps cap, forced chromatic abberation, forced motion blur. Impossible to play due to motion sickness. Will be happy to update this once options are added.

Combat is okay, not sure why there has been so much hype around it though, but playing as a character that felt more like fetish bait than a person really killed the whole game for me.

Just plain ole fun. Mechanics are solid and movement is fantastic, my only real issue with it is that it can be really difficult to tell where damage is coming from to avoid it and this makes the length of some of the arenas pretty hellish. Length is perfect, game knows exactly how much it can get out of the mechanics and ends when it should, wish more games would do that rather than dragging things out for the sake of runtime. Took me about 2.5 hours start to finish.

It's okay. The weird part about the whole experience is just how tedious it can be to track down the required items to progress as at a distance optional and required objectives are shown with a faint red glow with no other differentiation. Followed by the fact that the game does a pretty good job of establishing some core mechanics though your time in the open world and then throws them away time and time again in the climactic sections. There was one "fight" you can literally put the controller down for and it will finish on its own, even being more tedious and frustrating if you try to do anything. As there is no failure state there is no sense of mastery or overcoming a challenge. The core movement is okay, it's not hard to use just frustratingly inconsistent due to world geo interfering with shots and movement being stupidly slow with no spirit charge. I wouldn't mind it as much if it were just more reliable. The inability to actually aim is rough at points as well when arrows don't behave as expected and there are no real feedback mechanisms on how to correct the shot, particularly in the later puzzles. If you're looking for an engaging, challenging and fun to play adventure, look elsewhere

Overall it's not a bad experience, the movement is phenomenal, the story is pretty good but good lord the combat ****. It's just so tedious. Sure it looks flashy but every enemy is a punch sponge and target focus is a joke. If there was more movement focused challenges main story and it not just being a combat slog the whole time, it would be way better. Plus the alternate character sections where you arent Spider Man are tedious and boring. If I wanted to play a walking sim, I'd play a walking sim.

I never played the original release but this thing is all over the place. Visuals are pretty but wildly noisy making it difficult to accurately read a scene at a glance, ui notifications are nonstop and the incessant "buy a weapon" notifications make me want to mute the game altogether. Gameplay is okay but theres trial and error all over the place and death has no stakes whatsoever. To top it off there are almost no accessibility options or control remapping . I'd expect that in an old game but not a remaster. Characters are forgettable and the frequency of cutscenes and waiting barely make it worth one playthrough. Unless you're already a fan of the IP, I'd say give it a hard pass.
