Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

It is to Black Ops 6 what Modern Warfare III is to MWII, only with more aggressively pared back corners and a heftier injecton of Warzone into all modes. The campaign plays with the dangling corpses of the first two Black Ops entries and is a punitive insult to all CoDs that came before it. Every single character or callback is entirely cosmetic and completely irrelevant. Despite the name, there is very little "Black Ops" about this game. With a half-warzone, half rehashed campaign, this entry sits entirely on the goodwill built by the games before and thoroughly punishes fans for having enjoyed those. As the first and only game I feel that deserves a genuine 1/10, there are no redeeming factors about this game. The zombies mode is nothing but an expansion for BO6 with a single new perk and a meandering map. While it has taken in player feedback much more than the campaign, it is still far from where it needs to be - something that inherently cannot be achived with the Warzone formula - especially the movement and armour system. Also, please leave the realistic weapon swaying and movement animations to the MW series. Every FPS game has since adopted this flexile, Battlefield-esque fluidity, and I would like for Black Ops at the very least to retain the more static nature of the gun in first person, as silly as that seems. The multiplayer remains the mode that people keep buying the game for, albeit with fewer, and less inspired weapons. The only ones of interest are rehashes of previous iterations. Nothing feels unique. This year we have yet another expansion pack disguised as a full game. No campaign would have been better than this insult to BO2's legacy - perhaps part of the reason why BO4 showed restraint in that area. I don't understand why the critic reviews for BO7 are so different from those of MWIII, despite being the same desparate cash-grab. Was BO7 just simply better-disguised? Those that gave BO7 glowing reviews need to seriously reeevaluate and take a closer look at the dregs beneath.

While the gameplay is solid and the zombies are fun to battle, the game overall feels very familiar. To some, it would seems like Far Cry 3 with zombies and less guns while to others its a refreshing game that takes the best elements of Dead Island and combines it into a highly enjoyable open world game. The loot and weapons are pretty standard however it allows an easier and more direct experience but the parts of the game that really stood out include the gameplay at night which turns ordinary zombie bashing into a frantic hide and seek survival game, the fun parkour elements and abilities which make traversing the map a lot less boring and finally the graphics which were vastly improved. Although this does push the system requirements up quite a bit. The story was standard. What you would expect from a game like this but at least this time your character is actually interesting as well as the NPCs around you (compared to Dead Island) Overall, I felt like this game was very familiar during ordinary gameplay and included good elements from other games but it combined them well enough resulting in a extremely fun to play and somewhat addictive game which will take up a lot if not all of your free time.

I'm surprised that this game even got reviewed on here by professionals. The gameplay is intriguing yet infuriating. Enough to let me play this game for a couple months and put it down once I get a high score yet I still find myself playing it at few occasions.

This Telltale experience is not only extremely enjoyable and intriguing, but it sticks to Borderlands' signature style. Humour, gameplay and everything in between. This first episode is a great way to start off and was a lot deeper that I thought it would be. I'm really liking the plot right now and I played it non-stop to its end. Connections to the previous games just give you more reason to play it. If you enjoyed the other Borderlands games - even if you don't like these point and click ones, there is still more that enough reason for you to play it. The action sequences a well done and the gameplay is probably the best I've seen from Telltale yet. The sheer amount of enjoyability made time pass way sooner that I would have expected. The environment is well detailed and has a wide variety of colour. There not a single boring moment. Now for the score I'm giving it, many people may disagree, but I just think that this a very welcome entry to the Borderlands universe and would make it a lot more interesting. There not a single boring moment and the departure from the slow but dramatic tone of previous Telltale games is a great choice, bringing more life into the game.

Overall for this game, I had higher expectations. A lot higher. The story and campaign were strong (as always) but it just felt like there wasn't enough. Not enough new guns, new modes or a different gameplay style. The enemies were still the same just with slightly different outfits. The same guns were reskinned and renamed. The plot was disappointing since it jumped ahead a huge gap in time and brought up factors to an extreme. Beyond realism. Despite all this, I had to admit I still had a lot of fun playing the campaign - especially on the larger, more open maps. A good step up from Crysis 2's linear ones. The graphics: probably the best aspect of the game would set the benchmark for years to come. The world is more realistic than ever and the detail is just amazing. The multiplayer was surprisingly fun and quite well done. Just a bit more content and smoothness and this would have been on par with some AAA titles. What I always wanted, however was a co-op mode. Something along the lines of the Ceph infected humans being zombies or something but that sounds a bit like Advanced Warfare's Zombie Exo Survival. Still, I would like to see something like that as well as all the improvements stated above in a future Crysis game... If they ever make another one that is. So to conclude, I had fun with this game. Just not as much as I hoped. BTW The soundtrack is awesome.

This for me was a game which I played for years and still do now. Even with all the new releases and other stuff going on. When Black Ops first came out, It felt like a huge step up from the previous Call of Duty's - even Modern Warfare. The weapons and extremely deep and satisfying customisation options in multiplayer as well as the always solid gunplay made Black Ops such a good game. The campaign was to me one of the few good ones throughout Call of Duty history. This and its sequel. The story was good and the new cold war setting and equipment made this game memorable. It's co-op zombies mode was done very well and the two maps that came with the game (excluding DOA) were well thought out. When I think of Zombies, I think of Kino der Toten. To me, that defines zombies in Call of Duty.

This game is not the game we expected. Sure it has its strengths in multiplayer but its single player campaign was just utterly disappointing. I didn't think they could actually make something worse in this game than its predecessor. The best part about the campaign was the hit markers and scoring. This at least gave it an arcade style feel to a campaign which wasn't even worth playing. It was bearable by all means but compared to BF3 or even Call of Duty, it falls horribly short. I found myself pushing my way through it just for the gamerscore. Moving on, the multiplayer was a big improvement. Not huge - but big enough to give it a new feel. The larger, more open maps made the game better. The weapons and customization options were pretty good but it still feels the same. The gameplay didn't take too much of a step forward. Still, overall its a fun game and people should still be playing it a lot for now.

The single player campaign is not perfect. Nowhere near, but compared to Battlefield 4's, it is superior in almost every way. The characters were okay, story was better but predictable and the gameplay felt dull - but lets be honest here. The campaign to most people is a one time trip for achievements. What gives the game the score I'm giving it is its multiplayer. Memorable. A decent chunk of improvement over Bad Company 2 but it's destruction was vastly underpowered. This, however made gunfights pretty straightforward. The combat was improved and the larger amount of customisation as well as the weapons themselves made the game a rewarding experience.

One of may favourite games of all time. Deus Ex: Human Revolution is for me the strongest entry in the series. The game (now over three years old) has still left a deep impression on me. The setting, atmosphere and environment design was very memorable by depicting a realistic future. The weapons and inventory had pretty solid customisation options and was more than what I expected. The stealth was well done and so was the combat. (The boss fights were still fun) What finished it off was the amazing soundtrack, character development and story but what made the game stand out was the multiple choices we could have made. I went back and experienced all that I missed out on - doing multiple playthroughs since it was just such a good game.

The original 2033 was already a great game but the redux version gives it a newer graphical and interface overhaul. This is the way reduxs are supposed to be made. With the additional content, veteran players should have no problems with experiencing a great game all over again. It has lots of re-playability.

With the release of the new gen versions out, I decided to go back to this version and see just how much has changed. It remains as the best Grand Theft Auto game in my opinion and the next gen version doesn't revolutionise the game too much.

Far Cry 4 is straight up an absolutely amazing game. It improves on everything we thought made Far Cry 3 such a success. Its no revolution but the sheer amount of pure fun and enjoyability you gain from it is incredible and is an extremely solid entry in a franchise with high standards. The graphics here are definitely a step up from its predecessor. The heavily improved fur as well as the godrays make the game look as stunning as ever. The weapons remain solid as before but with more variety and realism added to them (most, anyway). A couple things that would make this the perfect Far Cry game would be a lot more customization options - not only for the weapons but also your attire. The land vehicles seem the same as before. They don't feel unique enough but the air vehicle (the Buzzer) makes what would have been long and boring journeys an exciting zip across the luscious landscape of Kyrat. The story was decent but what I thought was well done was the character development as well as the choices you are able to make between them. Overall, these features make Far Cry 4 a solid entry in the series and highly enjoyable. (The references to other games don't hurt) If you even remotely like Far Cry 3, this would be an obvious purchase.

Even today as I write this review. Standing against all the other first person shooters of this and the next generation, Call of Duty: Black Ops II has so far been the best Call of Duty game I have ever played. Why? because It has the most innovative campaign to date with deep customisation and an open ended storyline. The co-op Zombies mode delivered but was disappointing at launch. However, the DLC made the zombies experience the best yet. Far better than extinction or exo survival. There in no need to go on about multiplayer. The game is legendary and always will be which is why it still has the most players online on last gen consoles. In my opinion, it definitely should be ported to the next gen consoles.

With a decent campaign, strong multiplayer and a interesting co-op mode, the game is familiar in terms of modes but what really wins it over is the new gameplay mechanics which changes everything. The exo abilities combined with its always satisfying shooting make Advanced Warfare a strong new step in the series. Kevin Spacey makes the Campaign strong while I'm looking forward to the upcoming DLC to make the multiplayer and co-op modes the best yet.
