Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival5
Jul 30, 2017
This game, in my opinion, tries to be too much of a board game. I got it out of my love for animal crossing, and I even played it a couple times to try and convince myself that it was a good game, but it never clicked. The only good part of this was the desert island mini-game. And now even that's obsolete because you can get that in animal crossing through any kind of wii u console item in the game! The main aspect could be made fun, but it just feels like they only put a couple halfhearted lines of text for each event, which repeat several times through just one game. the event days are scarce, and the only point is to get the most bells, happy points, and get those lloid stamps. the game repeats itself and adding amiibo to this doesn't help the cause much, because those don't add anything to the game either really... so I give it a generous but still not up to standards 5/10

Dispite the reviews for this game saying that gameplay repeats itself, is boring, and is all out bland, I found that the story getting involved and the constant balancing of mii relation, stats, and items, the game can provide a breath of fresh air where ever it needs by adding a mini-quest or totally different story aspect. The game even lets you try tons of different kits by wiping your team. I admit that that's a nuisance if you put tons of planning into your party, but it lets you experience battles with different people and you get your old party members back later anyway. Overall, I've had a great experience with miitopia dispite what other reviews say, so I give it a 9/10.
