Pros: swing glitch from The Golf Club 2019 seems to be gone. Cons: the mechanics are frustrating and too simplistic somehow at the same time. There’s no point in thinking about any shot, the game feels like you just randomly have it tell you your swing was too fast or too slow when you do it the same every time. The interface and graphics are both terrible, like every other 2k game in recent history. This publisher makes horrible games nowadays. I requested a steam refund.

I’m not going to overreact here and say it’s the worst game I’ve ever played, but it’s pretty disappointing. Here are the positive things I have to say about the game:
1. The story is pretty interesting. While avoiding spoilers, I will just say that it’s a 7/10 story. 2. On the surface, the side quests seem deep (but when you realize only two or three of the storylines have any depth, you realize they are actually just main quests in the wrong section of the journal. 3. The colors and sounds of the game are refreshing and unique. 4. The gunplay and melee combat are pretty fun. Ready for the negatives? I’m only going to list the first few that come to mind:
1. This game is not open world. It’s a linear storyline in a big box. There is literally nothing worth doing other than the main storyline if you count the few friend side quests as main story, which in my opinion you should. 2. Customization is nonexistent. The character creation at the beginning gives you barely any control other than skin color, hair type (which you’re stuck with forever), and for some reason genital/breast size (which ends up serving absolutely no purpose other than laughing when you change your character’s clothes or when the game glitches out and shows your dong/boobies through your outfit). 3. Lack of consequences. Nothing you do matters...like...literally nothing. Kill everyone, or no **** one cares more than one line of dialogue worth. Murder 200 people in front of the cops, won’t matter. Want to punch a storyline character in the face? Sorry you can’t because they didn’t have time to program the consequences of doing that. 4. Glitches. I’m not even going to take the time to list any...that would be beating a dead horse at this **** trust me, they’re everywhere. I haven’t completed a single mission without seeing a glitch that makes Skyrim look like a clean launch. 5. The ****? You get calls and texts CONSTANTLY from contacts telling you about **** here’s the problem...there’s no freaking reason to get any of them! The driving is horrible and the cars all drive exactly the same and look really stupid. The messages and calls you get about them are the equivalent of a pop-up ad. 6. The graphics. **** graphics...keep in mind that I have an RTX 3080, so I’ve likely experienced the best this game has to offer. For the first 60-90 minutes I thought “okay this game looks kinda **** skin textures are cool, the hair looks terrible, but okay if this game is enormous this is acceptable.” **** game isn’t enormous and only the main characters look good. Literally everyone in the city looks like a grand theft auto character except your storyline contacts and only half of those characters look good. The screenshots you saw of Keanu are borderline false advertisement. Think back to the days when a PS1 game would only show the cutscenes in the advertisements. Metal Gear Solid V’s graphics put this game to shame. Who knows? Maybe in 7 years this game will look great when RTX 3080s are on sale on Craigslist for 40 bucks. 7. Tedious. Most of the game is honestly tedious. Way too many parts that lock you out of certain movements and you’re stuck bored listening to the same stupid dialogue after a horribly placed checkpoint because it locks you out of saving for 20 minutes straight. I could go on with my complaints, but I’m going to wrap this up by saying that this game in no way deserves a 0/10. 5/10 is still a failing score, but there was SOME fun to be had playing this game, but at this point I don’t see myself giving the DLC a chance. Even if the game worked perfectly it’s just not a fun game.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate2

I gave this game a real chance. I thought the user reviews on the original MK11 were very racist/sexist, so didn't pay much attention to the low scores. While the anti-SJW opinions were mostly from obvious morons, this game is indeed pretty bad. The combat system is just okay, but the grind they expect you to do just to use everyone's special moves is ridiculous. No one wants to do that except extreme hardcore fighting game fans, but those people aren't playing Mortal Kombat, they're likely playing Street Fighter. The story mode is what I looked forward to most, and having the Aftermath continuation of the story was a cool idea..which leads me to my next gripe with the game. The story mode has its fun moments, but the main villain (Kronica) is completely void of any personality. The story makes basically no sense, and the ending leaves you completely unsatisfied. That's why I was so excited that the DLC offers more to the story (even though one could argue that WB is a crappy company for not just completing the story for the 60 dollar original ****). Aftermath's story was also very unsatisfying. There is an awesome main character in Aftermath that is voiced by a familiar actor, but that is about the only part that was enjoyable. I tried playing the other sections of the game, but I was just completely bored. I don't think the fighting mechanics are worth the grind it takes to fully enjoy the game. This one really feels like a cash grab and the passion is once again gone in the Mortal Kombat series. I hope I'm wrong because I have played these games for basically my whole life. I had all but given up before MK9 but was pleasantly surprised back then, hopefully they can do it again. Oh, and one more HUGE gripe about the game...Ronda Rousey is completely absolutely terrible. Sonya has gone from one of the coolest characters to one that you straight up root against because you don't want to see her anymore. I won't go into attacking Rousey's appearance, but her voice acting is about as bad as possible. I was a huge Rousey fan when she was dominating UFC, so I am definitely not biased against **** is legit terrible at acting. Sorry Ronda, please get off my TVs and have a happy life outside of media. I was tempted to give this game a 5/10, but because of the devs' greed, I am going to give it a 4/10. Choosing microtransactions over artistic integrity automatically gets you a red score in my book. Actually, I'm taking another two points off for ruining Sonya Blade. Seriously you guys, wtf?

The Golf Club 2019 featuring PGA Tour6

This game is such a glitchy mess it's not even worth the six dollars I paid for it. Edit: after changing some settings in steam, I have gotten the Xbox controller to only glitch out on my backswing every third hole or so on one or two swings instead of on every shot. There are still unfixed bugs that are inexcusable in my opinion, but I am now having some fun playing it. Would be zero stars for 60 bucks, but for 6, I can’t really complain now that it works for the most part.

This might still be the best wrestling game ever. I thought 2K18 and 19 were worth playing, but I haven't picked them up since they were a few months old. I go back and play HCTP every few years and love it. The lack of commentary is a plus in my opinion, because listening to Michael Cole just reminds me why I stopped watching WWE. The story mode is unbelievably entertaining. It's linear, so you can only play through once unless you want the same exact story to happen again, but they did a great job with it. The gameplay is pretty basic, but very satisfying. If they remastered this game and added the ability to give your wrestler custom music, I would play it every year.

Guitar Hero Live6

This game is a very strong idea and a very weak example of execution. The new controller is fantastic. The new button system is fresh and challenging. At first glance, I was very excited about this game. That being said, the game is pretty bad. The calibration isn’t as bad as Rock Band 4, but it’s pretty impossible to get it dialed in perfectly if you play on expert. The set list is hilariously bad. For multiple 20 minute sets, you’re forced to play awful pop songs that barely have a guitar in them. Some of the songs don’t even have a guitar in them. Their idea of metal is the Hot Topic style “metal.” The biggest problem in the game, though, is the difficulty gap between hard and expert. Hard is annoyingly simple while Expert is frustratingly difficult. The only way to get better is to just **** it up and play on guitar hero TV while listening to the annoying error sounds that you can’t mute. Also, there’s no practice mode when this is the game it would be most useful on. I wish they would try again with the same idea and listen to the complaints, because guitar hero could still be fun, but this game barely deserves a 6/10.
