Absolutely enjoyed my 85-hour run. From the seemingly secondary quests coming together to influence a whole new "secret" ending, to watching your companions grow and embrace themselves and each other, Veilguard, while it may not be truly on par with Inquisition with its massive open zones and many, many dragons, is an excellent game by any standard. Unlocking The Executors secret cutscene creates on hell of a cliffhanger and I genuinely cannot wait to see more.
This is my Game of the Year, simple as. Everything was top-notch, the action, the music, the voice acting and by the end of it all,I cared more for these characters than I care for actual, real life people. 10/10, a must play.
Loved every second of it, especially Abby's journey, and how she overcomes all the preconcieved notions about the kind of person she is due to a single action early in the game.
While some of the bosses can be incredibly frustrating, overall, Hollow Knight Silksong shines as a beautiful, incredibly smooth, and highly enjoyable game. Death no. 200 coming up!
I should totally give it a 9 because of its uneven combat difficulty but the story is so good!
Now parry *this* you filthy casual. Dodge if it's a skill issue!
While I enjoyed Doom Eternal, I didn't like running around with my ammo low all the time, dodging and weaving literally every second. TDA, in contrast, makes me feel POWERFUL! Like I can take down anything, including the literal gods. Is it slow? Yes, is it awesome? YES! Is it flawless? No, the mech and dragon sections do feel a tad repetitive.
"Excuse me pal, I'm just a tourist" he says before punching a guy out. Solid 10 for combat, 10 for graphics but only 8 because the story was weak.
Also, RIP Tony Todd. You shall be missed...
I only just got started (7 hours in!) but so far, it has been an amazing, stutter free experience. Looking forward to playing it for the next couple hundred hours.
No, I refuse to fetch your firewood for you, old man. I mean, who designed these quests? I thought games, especially open-world games, were past endless fetch quests.
This game once again proves that Remedy is here to stay and impress. Since Control, they (remedy) have been creating not just technical masterpieces but narrative ones as well. I cannot wait for Control 2.
The voice acting in The Final Cut is just beyond. Also, this 10 is for Measurehead. His character was superbly written and, of course, if you know the historical references to Measurehead, then you know why he is so hilarious... and absurd.
I loved it. It is a beautiful game, with great environmental storytelling, awesome boss fights and then there is the parry system. I could go on and on about the parry system!
