Despite this game being the best selling game in the series, it is the "worst" game in the series. Everything that simmers loved about TS2 and TS3 are gone. Here is just a small list of how EA butchered TS4... No Open World. No Burglars. No Story Progression. No cars. No Teen Prom. No High School Diploma. No Private Schools. No Auto Roof. No Grocery Shopping. No School Buses. No Create-A-Style. No Real Consequences To Actions. No Astrology Signs. No Street Addresses. No Emergency Services Beyond Fire Dept. No Cemeteries... and lastly; No Real Difference Between Teen, Young Adult & Adult. All 3 age groups are exactly the same; Same Height. Same Voice. Same Appearance. What a ******* Joke! The "only" thing TS4 has going for it is "Create-A-Sim" and "Building." That's it. The actual gameplay is boring, shallow, and unrealistic. If it weren't for all the TS4 modders, House builders, and YouTubers, TS4 would be dead. No one would even play it. As for updates, it's all garbage. They are trying to implement Story Progression, but it's not working. It's still lame. And guess what EA is releasing for TS4 this summer... more kits! Yay! NOT! Move on EA. Give us TS5 already and make it like TS4 should have been.

One of the best RPG experiences (at least for me) since titles such as Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights. The original game was trash IMHO, and this was largely due to limited healing options during combat and the poor AI/skill check system. However, the sequel is a super improvement. Obsidian listened to the fans and really outdid themselves. Here's my take on the game... THE GOOD Great Story Nice Graphics Superb Voice Acting Reputation System Joinable Factions Real Time or Turn-Based Combat Awesome Leveling System Tons of Replay Value Full Day/Night Cycles Great Character Creation/Customization Dynamic Weather System Memorable Characters Great Companions Nice Loot/Drop System Excellent Combat System Pirate Themes With Sea Battles Fantastic Exploration THE BAD DLC Is Mediocre Long Load Times That's about it. The free DLC (5) are worth it and a must imho, but the paid DLC (4) are not that great, as they only add extra quests to the game, and do not impact the Main Story at all. Surely get them though when on sale, but I wouldn't pay full price. The Pirate themes are awesome. You can get ships, assign crew members, ship upgrades, and can sail anywhere, fighting off pirates and other stuff. So yeah. Super great game that no RPG fan should miss. 9/10. Thanks Obsidian.

DOS2 is a very overrated game. it's not a bad game, but could have been much better if the DEVS would have taken a little more time on it. Here is my Good and Bad points for the game... ----- THE GOOD Multiple Endings Great Character Creation/Customization ----- THE BAD No Day/Night Cycle No Weather Effects Many Bugs/Glitches Insanely Long Battles Lag Even On Top-End Systems No Actual Class System ----- That's about it. Everyone has his/her own opinion, and I have given mine. DOS2 is just not up to par with your classic RPG. Many elements are missing, such as the day/night cycle and weather effects. In closing, I give DOS2 a 5 for effort, but that's it. If you want some "true" classic RPGS, skip this and grab the best RPGS ever made... BG2, PS:T and NWN. Cheerio.

The first time I played FO4, I didn't like it. I put it aside for nearly a year. I didn't think I'd ever play it again. However, after the huge disappointment with FO76, and the Steam Version of FO3 being a broken mess, I decided to give FO4 another chance. Eh... ****. Here's my honest opinion into the Good & Bad points of FO4... ------------ THE GOOD No level cap. AI intelligence is pretty good. Great leveling and perk system. Skill books are interesting. Pre-War start is epic. Nice crafting system. Lots of lore reading. Dynamic weather system. ------------ THE BAD Main Story is complete garbage. Exploration is not up to par with FO3. Occasional bugs/glitches/crashes. Graphics are good, but could be better. The DLC (more about that below). Repetitive settlement building. Companions are stupid; even dogmeat. Best to solo. Limited dialogue options and player choices. Survival Mode is unbalanced and unrealistic. ------------ My favorite part of the game is the Pre-War start. Having your character in game in 2077 before the bombs fall, and then returning 210 years later in 2287 is EPIC! Seriously, what a great concept and Bethesda executed it beautifully. I also love the weather system. Rad storms are no joke. Make sure you carry Rad-X and RadAway. More about the DLC.. IMHO, only "Far Harbor" and "Automatron" are worth getting. The others are mediocre at best. As many have stated, it's not a "true" Fallout game. It's more of a shooter with RPG elements. Sad. The settlement building is really boring, repetitive and tedious. Also, many settlements are forced on you rather you want them or not. But... thank God, you can ignore most of them, and just leave them to their fate. The lack of dialogue and players choices through that dialogue is what killed the game for many people. Some of them quests, you have no choice but to accept, and not only that, be a NICE guy/gal. As for the story, well... aside from that Epic pre-war start, I didn't really care for an already made family, and then trying to feel sorry for a dead spouse and kidnapped baby. I mean you knew them for what, 5 minutes? The player character should have been single as they were in the previous games. The end game was just horrid. Very disappointing. Not enough options or choices. So... Fallout 4 is an OK game, but is certainly not up to par with FO3 or New Vegas. I think a rating of 6 is about right, and is more than generous. Hopefully FO5 will return to its old roots and gives us an epic game. If not, I'd say Fallout is dead. This and 76 has ruined the series. Sad but true. Cheers!

Like many, I came into SOD2 not having played the original. I was instantly hooked. Here's my Pros and Cons... PROS Decent graphics Tons of replay value Huge open maps Survivors can become heroes Great scavenging system Realistic usage of vehicles; Fuel/maintenance Voiced characters Ability to appoint leaders of communities Solo or Co Op Day/night cycle Need to sleep, treat injuries, infections Good variety of weapons Unlockable outfits Ability to change main base as much as you want 4 different maps with the Juggernaut Edition. ----- CONS No weather effects Horrible character creation No need to drink or eat Plenty of bugs and glitches Lags for many even on top end systems There's really no main story to follow Community quests get repetitive and tedious ----- I think that about nails it down for me. Aside from "Project Zomboid," State of Decay 2 is the best zombie game on the market thus far. Now, I need to express one HUGE beef I have with the game, and many others do as well, and that's the character generator. Ugh. It's horrid. When starting a new community, you can roll three characters, and everything about them is random each time you roll. Their gender, their appearance, their traits and their names. You can spend hours trying to get even just one character that you really like. Very poor implementation by the DEVS here. Hopefully State of Decay 3 (which is in the works) will have a better character creator. In closing, I love the game. It's really good, but the bugs, glitches and lack of depth is keeping me from rating this game higher than I'd like to. So, a 7 I feel is fair. Hopefully the DEVS will fix some things, but I doubt it. The game is already 2 years old and as I mentioned, SOD3 is in the works. Who knows. I'll keep playing it for some time, because it is a really fun game. Very addictive. Check it out. Thanks Undead Labs. Cheers!

This game has been sitting in my Steam Library for 6 months or more. So, on this lazy Sunday, I decided to fire the game up. Ugh, what a joke. I loved the other Stronghold games, but this one is horrid. First off is the story. The Wolf? Are you serious? I mean, out of all the stories Firefly could have came up with, they decided to bring back the Wolf? Complete joke. Secondly, is the voicing. Once again, Firefly was too lazy or cheap to hire decent voice actors. Most of the AI voicing is copy and paste from previous titles. And the women? They are male voices trying to sound female. What a crock. They did this in other titles as well. I believe Stronghold 2 is the only title that has proper female voice actors. Come on Firefly. Really. Lastly are the campaigns. Not much depth here. Either too easy, too bland, or just too boring. Move here, move there, kill this dude, kill that dude, grow some apples, gather some wood; rinse and repeat. In closing, the graphics are not too bad, and I love the weather effects and night/day cycle; something I always wanted in the Stronghold games, but even that does not help this game in the least. I'm glad I got the Gold Edition for like 10 bucks, because the game is not worth more than that. Maybe 5 actually. But any ways, try thinking up a better and original story Firefly for the next game. The Wolf was dead in Stronghold 1. I give this terrible attempt a 3. Yuk!

Decided to upgrade my review on this after not playing it for 6 months. Here is my take... ----- THE GOOD Graphics are pretty good. Character creation is solid. Several races to choose from. Can pick gods/goddess to worship. Single, multiplayer, with optional custom settings. Sandstorms are cool, and deadly if not prepared. ----- THE BAD Game difficulty seems harder now. Lag issues that I didn't experience before. Occasional freezes and boots off server. Too much grinding for resources. For a survival game, there's no need to sleep? End game scenario is a huge let down. Some areas it never rains. Others, it's non-stop. Many balancing issues. Repetitive gameplay; Resources, monsters, fighting. Lacks a proper tutorial. ----- All in all, Conan Exiles lacks luster. Seems like all I did in my many hours of play was run around the world map killing monsters and collecting resources to make better gear and build different objects. Very repetitive. There's not enough variety in the gameplay itself. The story is ok, but the ending is horrible. Makes one feel cheated. A mediocre game from Funcom that could be better, but I doubt much will change. So, in saying that, if you want a great survival game, skip this one and try Project Zomboid, or some others. As for Conan Exiles, I give it a 5, and that's being generous. Better luck next time, Funcom.

As many did, I tried this game on the "free weekend" and I was not impressed at all. I played it for about 5hrs or so and quit. Bugs, glitches, occasional lag, and promised features were broken or missing. To me it looked like all EA did was copy Madden 20, and slapped a Madden 21 cover on it. Yeah, what a joke. Since the initial release, patch updates have fix some things, and new features have been added to franchise mode, but the game is still buggy, glitchy and lags here and there. "Face of the Franchise" is total garbage. The story is so bad, it's laughable. A five year old could have written something better. Franchise Mode is decent enough, but still needs work. Too many bugs. Not enough options. The graphics are pretty good, weather effects during games is actually very nice, and the crowds are beginning to actually look like real people. But seriously, I think that's all the game has going for it right now. Graphics and a few odds and ends. In closing, there have been worse Madden games, but 21 is not as good as it could be, and should have been. I'll play it when I get bored. That's about it. I give it a 4 for effort.

I just got this a few days ago on Steam and I'm glad I did. I was and am still a huge fan of the original, but the DEVS did a wonderful job on this sequel. Here's my take on the game... Pros: Exclusive Character Mounts Breathtaking Graphics (Truly Amazing) Ability To Worship Certain Gods/Goddesses Two Campaigns - Light and Shadow Seraphim Is Back With New Classes New Ways To Build Your Hero/Heroine Massive Game World (20 + REAL Miles) Over 600 Side Quests Alone Enhanced Weather Effects Tons of immersion & Realism Revamped Leveling System Massive Replay Value Great Story (Prequel 2000 yrs before Sacred 1) Cons: Fan Patch is Needed To Fix Bugs & Glitches Strange Camera Angles (but you get use to it) Humor (jokes, music) That Seems Out Of Place For The Era Traveling The Map Can Be Tedious & Confusing I think that's about it. Despite the Cons, I love this game. Truly. The only thing I don't care for is some of the music. The DEVS decided to put music from Blind Guardian into the game, which just doesn't work. At least for me. You just don't put rock and heavy metal music into a dark age fantasy game. Hearing a bard playing rock music on his guitar when walking into certain towns makes me cringe. Any ways, other than that, this is a truly epic game, and I thank the DEVS for making it.

When Skylines when on sale, I picked it up with some of the DLC. I played it for about 12 hours. Here is my personal view on the Good and Bad... ----- THE GOOD Full Weather Effects Night/Day Cycle Tons of Mods ----- THE BAD Lags at points, even on top end systems. Repetitive Buildings (same over and over). Can't zoom to ground level without a mod. The AI traffic is not very good. Only a few of the DLC's are note worthy. Graphics are not very good for 2015. The music could have been better. Citizens can actually teleport. ----- So, Skylines is not a horrible game, but it's not a great game either. SimCity 4 with Rush Hour is much better. Even SimCity Societies is a little better. So, I'm not sure what all the hype is about Skylines. All I know is, it's not for me. I give it a 6.

Since I wrote reviews for FO3 and FO4, it seems only fair to write one for FONV. Now, I know a lot of people feel that FONV is the best in the series, but I disagree. As with all my reviews, everyone has their own opinions, and I will give mine on New Vegas. The Good Survival Mode Good Voice Acting Nice Weapon Selection/Modification The Bad Same Character creation Same UI Same Graphics Weak DLC Weak Protagonist (The Courier?) Boring Story BOS (Brotherhood) was dumbed down World looks too pretty to be post-apocalyptic Less exploration Characters are less memorable As you can see (at least for me) the bad far out weighs the good. I feel that NV is a very overrated fallout game. Fallout 3 is much better. Obsidian (and with all due respect) looks as if they just copied a lot of stuff from FO3. So yeah. Not a horrible game, but certainly not a great game, and surely not up to par with FO2 and FO3. Again, a very overrated game. I'll give it a 7, because although I didn't like it as much as the previous titles, it's alright. But at least for now, FO3 still rules the series.

This is a decent game, but it has many problems. I'll get to that in a bit. I actually picked up ETS2 first, then picked up ATS a few months later on sale. It's better than ETS2, but not much. I'll give a quick run down here on my take in the good and bad stuff. THE GOOD Nice character creation; male & female drivers. Leveling and skill points system is nice. Very detailed world. Great graphics. Things look real! Full night/day cycles. Realistic weather (Rain/Storms) THE BAD No snow. Seriously? No exhaust smoke. Auto saves too frequently. No option to shut it off. Needs more pedestrians (all ages) in cities. It's too bare. Buses have no occupants. Even the school buses. Police ticket you automatically. No pull overs. AI is unrealistic. Vehicles crash into you, and you get the fine! Needs more states added, especially to the east and north. Few glitches here and there. Visual damage from accidents is never seen. That's just dumb. Penalized for late deliveries/ No bonus for early deliveries. No injuries in crashes. Even head on doing 80 mph! Really? That's about it. As you can see, (at least IMHO) the bad far outweighs the good. My biggest beef is the AI driving. It's really bad and could certainly use some improvement. They drive like maniacs! They are constantly speeding, swerving like drunks, running lights/stop signs, and causing tons of accidents. However, they don't get fines. Only your player(s) get fines. That's just silly, unfair and unrealistic. The way police ticket you is dumb as well. They don't pull you over. You just automatically get a ticket. And they can ticket you from the other side of a highway, going in the opposite direction. lol. Now, that's just stupid. Any ways, the game needs more realism. Examples... Trucks getting dirty, tire blowouts, driver injuries, snow/ice, actual police pull overs, manually hook and unhook trailers, fires, driver aging, need to eat at diners or restaurants, etc. Now those kind of things would really add more needed life into this game. As it stands, I give it an 5 which I think is more than fair.

Picked this up earlier today on sale for only a few bucks and played through it. Took my time, and the game-play lasted about 5-6 hrs. This is very good game. Well, it's more of a walking simulator, with a very "Very" good story. Not really a horror as the description states, but more of a psychological thriller. It's all based on "actual events." It'll really make you think. I couldn't stop playing until the end. That's how much it pulled me in and kept me wanting more. Beautiful graphics, excellent voicing, great music, memorable characters, especially the main protagonist, Renee. What that poor young girl went through left me sad to say the least. I don't want to give too much away, so I won't go into details on the story. My only, and I mean, my only beef with the game is that despite Renee having multiple choices to make throughout the game, there is only one ending. Kind of a bummer. So, in saying that. The game is unfortunately only good for 1 or 2 plays. There are quite a few achievements to unlock, so if you don't get them all on the first time around, you can play again. Also, there are some secrets to discover as well that one may not catch on their first run. So, other than there being only 1 possible ending, it's a really good game, and I enjoyed it very much. Great job by the DEVS. 9/10.

People sometimes quit in the middle of a match. Oh, and there's bugs too. Any ways, I played the game for 2 hrs, and requested a refund. The "only" reason I gave it a 1, is because of Jason. Very tedious and boring. So, I stopped and skipped to episode 3 (female character). Started out pretty good, then it just turned sour about 1/4 through and I quit. The DEVS surely could have made the story better. It's total garbage. If you do play the game, don't bother with Story Mode, and just play Survival Mode. One great thing about the game, is the DEVS (Madruga Works) are listening to fan suggestions and releasing patches every several months too add more features and content. My own personal suggestion would be to add a day/night cycle. It's a little weird having it light out all the time. Takes away realism. Other than that, I think the game is very solid. I give it a 7.

I am very late to the party by writing a review for this, but I decided after doing one for FO4, i'd do one for 3 as well. Now don't get me wrong, FONV is a great game, but it's not as good as FO3. I have played the tar out of this game since it was released and just began playing it again. Bethesda did an awesome job on this game. It's not only (imho) the best game in the fallout series, and one of the best games ever made, but Bethesda's finest creation. Yes, there's Morrowind and Skyrim, but FO3 is still better. Any ways, here is my list of the Good and Bad points for FO3. THE GOOD Gripping and Intriguing story. Colorful and memorable characters. Incredible voice acting. Superb musical tracks. GNR Radio and Three Dog are wickedly cool! Beautifully detailed world. Very nice graphics for 2008. "Broken Steel" DLC is as good as the main game. Lots of quests with lots of twists. Tons of replay value due to character choices. Exploration is awesome. Just awesome! THE BAD Prone to the occasional freeze or crash. SAVE OFTEN. That's about it. As you can see, despite that 1 BAD point, I have nothing negative to say about the game. It's a true masterpiece and I thank Mr. Howard and all the DEVS at Bethesda for making FO3 for us. 10/10.

This game has gotten a bad rap, and the reason is obvious. As Neravarine mentioned, It's basically Mount & Blade with ships. There are some bugs too, along with some needed polishing. Female character bodies resemble a male in some ways. Their shoulders are way too wide. Load times are also pretty bad. It can take 5-7 secs or more just to enter/exit a town or building. More flag choices for your character are also "desperately" needed. You only get like 6 to choose from. In closing, it's a decent game, but it's unfinished. As it stands, I give it a 5.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Chris Avellone is the best game writer and designer on the planet, period. Man's a genius. Now, KOTOR 1 was a great game, don't get me wrong, but KOTOR 2 is much better, especially the story. However, due to time retrains (something that happens a lot with games), KOTOR 2 was released before it was complete. if only Obsidian would have had more time, the game would have been even better. There is a mod (TSLRCM) "The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod," which does add a lot of what Obsidian had planned, but not all. The ending(s) to the game are rather bland and leaves you feeling a bit confused and unsatisfied, but despite how great the rest the game is, it's tolerable. However, this EE version by Beamdog does not deserve that type of score. Close, but no way can it touch what the Black Isle team did so many years ago. Yet, Beamdog did some great things to it. The widescreen support, new journal, interface, and zooming in and out are wonderful. My biggest beef are the new NPCs. They are just terrible. The recorded voices is the worst part. They just don't seem to fit. They sound out of place with the rest of the NPC voices. First time I heard Neera, I was like, "What the hell was that?" Bloody sick it is. This is a decent game, especially if you have the "Gentlemen of Fortune" mod, which fixes many bugs, adds more characters to the game, including females, more ships and quests. However, the game is not for everyone. When first starting out, it can be quite frustrating, even tiresome. You'll need to take huge advantage of save/reload, otherwise you won't make it very far. One little mistake and you're dead. When sailing to other ports, you'll need to make sure you're country is not at war with them, else they'll blow you out of the water. What I like the best is the scenery. The DEVS did a great job, especially the detail that was put into the Sea itself and the Storms. They look real. I myself think the first game in the series, "Caribbean Tales" is better, but that's just my opinion. Try it out for yourself. You may love, or you may hate it. 7/10.

I'm sure many will disagree, but I believe this to be the best in the DS Series. DS 2 just didn't do it for me. I didn't like the story at all. The game was boring and tedious. DS 3, same thing, I just didn't like it. Just goes to show you that sometimes, the originals are the best, and that is certainly true with DS 1, for it kicks major booty. For a game that is from 2002, the graphics are excellent. I personally love the outdoor scenery. It's so vivid and colorful, and was nicely done. I sometimes find myself traveling along and stopping my party just to gaze at the wonderful detailed world. The game has a Night/Day Cycle, weather effects, an awesome sound track and superb ambient sounds. The game world really comes alive. But the best part of DS 1 is the story. It's one of the best I've played in a game, and the narrated cut-scenes are just great. Some like to compare this to Diablo II, but there is no comparison. Although Diablo II is one of the best games ever made, DS is nothing like it, at all. Diablo II is a dark fantasy hack and slash with very little RPG element. DS is an action fantasy RPG. There is much more than just hack and slash in this game. Diablo II gets very boring, very fast. It's just a click-fest with some quests, that's it. Some of the things I love about DS 1 is how (unlike Diablo), you don't need to keep clicking on an enemy to attack. I about wore my index finger out on Diablo II from clicking the mouse so much. The drop system is also good. Not too much, not too little. It's just right. And if you have the stand alone expansion, LOA (Legends of Aranna), the game is even better. The Original Campaign is quite long, consisting of 9 Chapters to keep you well entertained. You will meet and talk to tons of people which have unique personalities. Many are voiced extremely well. The game also has a nice modding community. Lastly, I really enjoy the many companions you can bring into your party. There are many to choose from. Some of them will join you for free, while others will cost you some coin. I'm not sure how anyone could give this game a bad rating. it doesn't deserve it. I for one, have nothing negative to say about this game. It's one of the best out there. I've been playing off and on since it's release and it never gets old. Great job Gas Powered Games! A true classic. 10/10.

I've owned the gold edition of the game for about five years and in the means of medieval warfare, this is by far the best on the market. The entire Total War series is great but this one holds a special place for me. The graphics are superb, the combo of RTS and TBS makes this a real gem. The real time battles along with night/day/weather effects depending on the season is just incredible. My favorite faction is England. I usually knock out Scotland early on and take over the entire British Isles for myself. It's the perfect strategic stronghold. Each faction has historical units which is a complete blast. The English Longbow and Knights of England are devastating in battle, as so are the French Crossbow and Calvary. You may even get lucky and be asked to allow the Knights Templar to build a facility within one of your towns. These guys are like a tornado on the open battlefield, and they look cool. Furthermore, you can build up each city, Town or Castle, assassinate people, battle heretics with your priests, marry off your daughters or use them as diplomats, sabotage buildings, and much much more. The game is so in-depth, it's crazy. Even your leaders can take on unique traits; anywhere from being a saint to a drunken lout. For better or worse, this will effect the town(s) which your general governs. At times, you may even discover a cheating wife or husband, or get accused or heresy. There are even historical events which happen over the course of the game which adds even more flavor to the game. Mongol/Timurid invasion, crusades to the Holy Land, exploration to the Americas, and even the Black Death. Some events are down right cruel, such as a general being murdered or killed in a freak storm at sea, but this just adds even more icing on the cake. I truly don't understand the negative reviews, for there is nothing wrong with the game. I guess you either like it or not. I for one, love it and have nothing negative to say about it. It's a classic masterpiece. Great job Sega! 10/10

Age of Pirates: Caribbean Tales is set in the 17th Century Caribbean, and is in my honest opinion, the BEST offline pirate themed game on the market. The only reason I did not give a score of 10 is because the main quest of the game is flawed. You see, Playlogic didn't plan a main quest at all; It was added in shortly before release, as was the female character Beatrice, hence why she is treated like a man by many NPCs in the game. Any ways, the goal is to take over all the colonies of the Caribbean, however, through my experience playing the game, captured colonies have a hard time defending themselves. You need to take it very slow and only take one colony at a time and build it up to the max before trying to capture another one. A governor needs to placed in each colony who has good Leadership, Cannon and Accuracy skills. Leadership is the most important. Thus, after each colony is upgraded to highest level (Castle) and you have a good garrison of troops, the colonies will be able to defend themselves better, however, you still may need to aid in its defense. Furthermore, and as many have stated, the game is very buggy, but fortunately, with a mod called, "Supermod," most of those bugs have been fixed, as well as many various additions, such as access to banks, churches, brothels and islands. I believe there is even a buyable house in Guadalupe. Now, if only the creator, "CyberOps" would have fixed the colony defense. Oh well, perhaps someone will give us a patch one day, maybe even Playlogic. We can dream, right? Now, even with SuperMod, the game may still crash on occasion, but if you save often, it won't be a problem. So, despite the main quest being a bit broken, the rest of the game is incredible. The open sea scenery is jaw dropping, towns are well developed, and sailing through storms is so realistic, it's both scary and fun. You have your choice of two characters upon game start, Blaze Sharp or his step-sister Beatrice Sharp. Then, you have a second choice of which Caribbean Power to affiliate yourself with, England, France, Holland, Spain, or my favorite, the Pirates. You can receive missions from people on the streets, in the taverns, at the store, or from the governors. The pirate governor or "Pirate King" who is located on the Island of Isla Mona will only give you missions when you acquire a high enough reputation with the pirates. A high fame I believe also helps. Also, the missions are always available. They never end. So, if you get tired of sinking ships on the sea, trading, smuggling contraband with the pirates, or harassing the colony ports, there will always be a quest from someone you can grab. The game also keeps track of how many ships you defeat, be it through cannon fire, grappling, or surrendering. Replay value is high, because the game is open-ended, therefore allowing you to do something different each time, and from what I can tell, the trade goods which colonies import/export are also randomized upon game start, including illegal contraband. As your character levels up, there are many skills and abilities to learn. If you've ever played "Pirates of the Caribbean," the system is very similar. All in all, it's a fantastic and underrated game which everyone should give a try, again, despite its flaws and bugs. Great job Playlogic! 9/10.

KOH is an excellent medieval RTS, very underrated and unknown by many players. It was originally released in Belgium 2004 by Sunflowers and then by Paradox for North America in 2005. Developed by Black Sea Studios, (now Crytek Black Sea) they did a fantastic job on this game. However, there are some things I don't like about it, and it's merely personal preference. Despite KOH being a great RTS, it does tend to get a little boring and repetitive after awhile. The developers could have done some extra things to spice it up more, such as more historical units, random events like disease, fires, barbarian/mongol invasion, the plague, a royal family tree, etc. I find it a little odd that knights live forever unless killed in battle or by a spy, and your Kings only die of old age or in battle or by a spy. Didn't the developers know people died of disease and other things in those days, just like we do in today's world? I'm not trying to flame, not at all, the game is great, but a little more realism would have made KOH the best RTS ever. All in all, and despite my personal thoughts, KOH is a great game that everyone should try. You may love it, or hate it. 8/10

PST is possibly the greatest game of any genre ever made, and aside from the Baldur's Gate Saga, it's the best RPG bar none. The game unfortunately suffered from lack of publicity upon its release, so it didn't get the recognition it truly deserved. Let loose in '99, many people are just learning about this masterpiece. I can't understand anyone giving this game a negative score, but as I've said before in my reviews, you cannot please everyone, and all are entitled to their opinion. I for one however cannot give this game anything lower than a perfect 10, and if I could rate it higher, I would without ado. PST was way ahead of its time, and it shows in every aspect of the game. The story is one of the best I've ever experienced in any game, ever. To think you wake up in a morgue not knowing who you are or how you got there is creepy and intriguing. Then little by little, you have to piece the puzzle together. This game will make you laugh, make you cry and maybe even give you nightmares. It's that good. Despite there is just TNO (the nameless one) as the main protagonist, the game has a lot of replay value. This is mostly due to the multiple ways in which you can complete quests, how you treat people through dialogue, and of course the alignment modifier. You can be good, but treat enough people poorly, and you could end up chaotic or even evil. TNO starts as a fighter, but you have choices later to become a mage or a thief, and even switch back and forth as much as you wish (not recommended). There are also factions you can join, tattoos, romance, the list goes on and on. Probably the greatest part of PST is TNO cannot die. He's immortal. Oh sure, he can still be killed, but the final death can never take him. That's a huge plus in my book. No more loading a saved game just because your character got whacked. A word of warning however... The game is very dialogue intensive. This may be the reason some don't like it, but its necessary for the story. PST is a game to take your time with and not rush. If you do, you'll miss out on a lot. Talk to everyone, search every nook and cranny, be patient and have fun. 10/10.

I am a HUGE fan of the TES games. I have played them all and even modded the tar out of III and IV. TES IV: Oblivion is a fantastic game. The only reason I gave it a score of 8 is because although I love the game, there are a few things I wish Bethesda would have done better or differently. Let me start with the BAD: There's a lot here. The leveling system I don't care for, because the way the creatures level with you, I never felt like my player got any stronger. I also thought the storyline was a little weak. I felt very unsatisfied when it ended. The Oblivion gates were very tedious. It seems like someone just got lazy and copy/pasted. Not much fun. Furthermore, the NPC races share voices instead of each having a unique voice as in TES III: Morrowind. This was a let down. Furthermore, it doesn't seem like Bethesda put very much effort into NPC realism with this title. For instance, if you get caught stealing or trespassing, the guards will try to arrest you, however, if you get busted in let's say the Imperial City, resist arrest, head to let's say, Bruma and then talk to a guard, they will try to arrest you for that crime you committed in the Imperial City. I guess the guards are all psychic. Weird. I mean, how could the guards know your character was a wanted criminal in another village? Same thing when you steal an Imperial Legion horse. Even though the guard is lying there dead and you take the horse, you can still get busted. Those legion horses are the same as other horses in the game. Are they tagged or branded or something? NPC reactions are pretty bad. As with Morrowind, people had many things to say to your character regarding nudity, the weather, disease, and many other things. You don't see this in Oblivion. Rather dull if you ask me and very unrealistic. Thanks to mods, many of these bad points I've noted have been fixed, but it's something Bethesda should have done. Oblivion seems to have focused mainly on graphics and eye candy rather than realism. Sad but true. Now for the GOOD: The journal/quest system is awesome. In Morrowind, you could break quests if you weren't careful. This has been very much improved in Oblivion. Great. The graphics are incredible. The combat system I found very fun and enjoyable. The alchemy is a blast to play with as you can make very powerful potions. I especially liked the powerful weather effects. Very good! The guild quests were all good and the side quests were fun as well. I really liked the ability to buy houses and ride horses. The forts and caves all seemed a little repetitive, but were still fun in ways. All in all, although I feel the game has more bad points than good, I still have to rank it as the 3rd best in the TES series. The game is awesome despite its many flaws. 8/10.

I've played and modded this game since it was released and I'm sure many disagree, but I believe TES III: Morrowind to be the best in the series thus far. The story line is just amazing and keeps you hooked from beginning to end. Sure, the combat system is a little dull and clunky, but there's mods to fix that and many other things. Many people have complained about the npcs just standing around doing nothing, as with Oblivion they run on a schedule. Well, a mod called, "Living Cities of Vvardenfell fixes that." Actually, with the right mods running, Morrowind can look and play better than Oblivion any day. And the factions are great, the side quests are all fun. In Oblivion, you don't even need to run out and find your quest target; they tell you where it's at! Not in Morrowind. With most quests, they give you a hint (if you're lucky) and it's your job to find the place, person, etc., which could take days or weeks mind you and that to me is fun and exciting. See, with Oblivion's fast travel system to most quests, it took the fun out of exploration and discovery. This is what I absolutely love about Morrowind. You just never know what might happen, what you might run into, or how long it may take you to complete your goal. It's just fantastic. Also, as I mentioned in my Oblivion review, the npcs in Morrowind are so colorful and alive. They talk about everything and comment on just about everything, from the weather, a disease you may have contracted, or if your character decided to wear his/her birthday suit out that day. They even shoot off random comments and crack jokes out of the blue. First time I visited Solstheim and heard an Imperial guard making a joke about the cold, no sun, and ugly women, I nearly fell off my chair I was laughing so hard. I've nothing negative to say about this game. 10/10.

Being a big fan of mythology, this game is just great, and if you add the titans expansion, well it's the icing on the cake. Maybe it's just me, but I believe this to be the best of the Age games. The graphics are good, the campaigns are very enjoyable and also re-playable, for you can do things different each time, and the random map game-play will keep you entertained for hours on end. Furthermore, if you have the patience, you can create your own maps and even add night/day cycles to them. I have nothing negative to say about this game. It's one of the best I've ever played. 10/10.

I'm a huge fan of the TES games, but I really do believe this to be one of Bethesda's best, and one of the best RPGs ever made, just a few steps behind games such as the Baldur's Gate Saga, Torment, and Diablo II. Sure, it's an old game, with mediocre graphics, but the variety of game play options is just astounding. You can be a noble knight, a grave-robbing criminal, or pretty much anything you want to be. The game world is so extremely large, it will boggle your mind. The ONLY reason I didn't rate this a perfect 10, is because there is no third person view option, (something I enjoy in RPGs), but it's not that big of a deal, especially for such a fantastic game. Furthermore, unlike the last three TES games, this one actually has an ending. I like that in an RPG. So, the replay value is extremely high. The biggest problem with Daggerfall is it's HARD, and is one of the reasons I quit playing a few times, but I always go back to it eventually. Awesome game which no RPG fan should miss.

One of the best games ever made, and is surely on my top 10 list of the greatest games of all time. With the LOD expansion, well, it's even better. My reason for not giving a perfect score of 10 is because of the lack of quests. They are all the same, so that aspect gets very repetitive. But that is it, period.
