Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator8

Gameplay isn't too deep, the last couple chapters get a bit too grindy/repetitive, and there isn't much story. But it's so nice and chill to just explore the map and run the shop, and the character interactions/dialogue is quite cute. Lovely time overall.

Puzzles weren't bad and the core idea got fleshed out as much as I think it could've been. But the puzzles also weren't especially compelling and the game didn't have any real selling point to make it worth finishing over playing another game

Pixel art is beautiful. Not a lot of decisions or technical gameplay but still engaging. Some things aren't told or intuitive but in a way that was enjoyable to explore and figure out. Could use just a bit more depth and content to push it that extra distance

Physics can be inconsistent which can be frustrating in a couple specific places throughout the game. But the core idea is fundamentally incredibly cool, the game makes great use of the medium and the puzzles off of those mechanics/ideas were great and properly add continuously to the core idea of the game. Story was cute and compelling though slightly cliché and awkward in some of its dialogue

Puzzle/mystery game that reminds me of other top games in those genres while still bringing something meaningfully unique to the genre. Thinking through the lens of different languages for this game provides an interesting and intellectually fulfilling problem to solve

Most visually stunning game I've ever played. Changes the palette on each chapter, and it continues to be incredibly stunning despite changing visuals majorly. Game has a lot of charm and character. Puzzles are engaging and they progress/escalate in a very natural way. And though simple, the narrative is still able to make you truly feel the emotions it is trying to invoke

The fluidity of the sliding and the speed of the movement in general feels great. Hitting shots feels more rewarding than a lot of other FPS games. Lot of friction with precise/fine controlling of your character, and after just a few matches you feel like you've experienced everything that the game has to offer

Pros: Flow through the game was great, after getting onto the train I wanted to just keep playing. World and art are lovely, and mechanics are cool. And despite the dialogue writing not being perfect the narrative was still enjoyable. Cons: Slow to ramp up, levels could push the mechanics/puzzles further and some dialogue writing is uncomfortable.
