It really is a remarkable game, and in a year that’s been blessed with way more than its fair share of standout games, I’d put Viewfinder on the same level as any of them.

Viewfinder is a smart puzzler that pushes the boundaries between reality and challenge, building both beautiful and creative levels.

With so many ideas in visual and level design, Viewfinder is a must-have title for any puzzle game enthusiast.

Viewfinder satisfied my recent puzzle curiosity and my search for new mechanics. Perfectly executed.

Even though its driving motivation didn’t resonate strongly with me, this might be one of the most refreshingly inventive puzzle adventures to come out in recent memory.

Viewfinder is a puzzle game that invites us to reflect on perspective, optical illusions, and the manipulation of reality. The puzzles are different and presented in an uncommon and innovative manner. The adventure also has a touch of mystery surrounding it, with old recordings hinting at something beyond just the puzzles. It's charming, entertaining, and just challenging enough.

Unfortunately, the game itself is too simplistic and hardly challenging, but the concept is incredibly fascinating from start to finish.

I am a lover of puzzle games and this one in particular looked very good to me. The main mechanic is that of being able to take a photo and transfer its content to the real world, which seemed impressive to me, a real madness at the level of the revolution that was Portal, I tried the game and without a doubt it has become one of my favourite puzzle games, especially because this innovative mechanic is exploited in excellent ways and the plot has several plot twists that make the game not just focus on its mechanics.

The dialogues of one of the main characters called "Jessie" are super cringy and infuriating. However, I enjoyed listening to the researchers conversations and got hooked by their story. The puzzles didn't feel that the dev is holding your hand through it which is fantastic. I liked the art-style alongside the vibe and the music.

It's not really fair to compare it to Portal (it doesn't), but the structure is similar so it's inescapable. It is enjoyable and has some clever design and Ahah! moments. The writing and acting is ok, but the story is nothing and doesn't know it. While it's not as brain breaking as Portal, it also doesn't explain it's mechanics as well or build on it in satisfying way. Overall good, but had potential to be a lot more.

You ever wanted to kill yourself but found your pesky self-preservation instincts get in the way and prevent you from embracing the sweet release of death? Just listen to one line of this game’s dialogue! It’s guaranteed to instantly drain all will for survival from you and give you the extra anguish necessary to go through with ending it all!

What a terrible tutorialization and an awful experience. The game bugged out on literally the first level never giving us a prompt to pick up the first photo and just leaving us to walk around in confusion for thirty minutes. By the time we figured out it was a sloppy uncaught bug we lost the desire to keep playing. Oh well.
