Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered8
Jul 20, 2018
True cult classic brought back into the limelight. A fun game if you've never played or are looking for something different. I have found a couple glitches and experienced a few game crashes that I didn't from the original but it's worth it. Love this game

Far Cry 38
Jun 7, 2018
Far Cry 3 with better graphics and unfortunately the same clunky aiming mechanics. To be perfectly honest I'm enjoying the game more this time around than the first because I was still on my Far Cry 2 is better pedestal. Now that I'm playing years after I am coming to realize this may be my second favorite entry in the series. If you enjoyed it when it released then you will most definitely now.

Destiny 2: Warmind4
May 10, 2018
I defended Destiny even though it wasn't that good. I defended the positive changes they made to it and held out hope. I enjoyed 2 for it's story and all that promise finally being realized. I now have no reason to defend a broken franchise any longer. This dlc isn't as bad as curse of Osiris but i'm not saying it's great by any means. the best part is a scavenger hunt on the new map (aka old mars map with some ice) and sick changes to some of the weaker exotics. Considering the exotic changes aren't even part of the dlc i'm left with even less to recommend. If you haven't bought D2 yet just wait till fall and hope for the best. -your friendly defeated gaurdian

Far Cry 58

Far Cry 5 was my favorite in the series since 2. Taking place in America made the game feel more relatable and despite the critics I think having the topic of gun control play such a big role in the game couldn't have been more perfect for today's headlines. I know I'm just reviewing the game so I'll keep politics out of it Game has an excellent antagonist and an absolutely beautiful open world. I had to step away from 3 and 4 before coming back to beat them because the gameplay became too repetitive but with 5 the story was too good to walk away from. 3, 4 and 5 are all basically the same game with different settings but 5 did a great job at keeping you interested. The arcade is an amazing addition as well and was very cleverly implemented. I was pretty happy with the game and really look forward to the DLC when it arrives.

Monster Hunter: World6
Apr 24, 2018
I know I'm in the minority here but I honestly did not enjoy Monster Hunter. I have several friends who absolutely love the game so I'm not going to sit here and say it was a bad game. It is however an acquired taste. The monsters are gorgeous and there is plenty of gear to keep you grinding for hundreds of hours. That in itself is part of the reason I don't care for the game. It's too much **** fighting the same creatures over and over. If there was a solid story or a variety of quests I would enjoy it much more. As it stands it just doesn't offer enough for me to continue playing.

Mass Effect: Andromeda4
Apr 24, 2018
At first I had this game ranked as an 8. Unfortunately that honeymoon phase has worn off and what is left is a clear picture that this game was simply unfinished. The first three, last two in particular, were masterpieces. Unforgettable journeys through space with a brilliant cast. Andromeda is just plain disappointing and at times terrible. A hard fall from grace for one of gaming's greatest franchises.

God of War10

This was the easiest game I've ever given a 10 before. The one continuous shot, solid rpg elements, reworked combat system and father son bond have this game set up for GOTY for sure. It's the best game I've played in years. For you xbox users I highly recommend just selling your system for a ps4 purely for this game. Absolutely amazing game I really can't give enough praise.

Horizon Zero Dawn9
Apr 21, 2017
I would go into detail on what makes this game amazing but in reality there is only a few words that need to be said. Robot dinosaurs. Post-post apocalyptic setting is a nice change of pace and the combat mechanics are phenomenal. The hidden audio and text logs paint a fantastic picture of what led to mankind's downfall and do a great job at fleshing out the history and lore. My only complaints are a level cap that is too low and lack of side quests. The combat is so addicting that after just a week you can be max level. Basically my only complaint is that the game is too good. So go buy it. Do yourself a favor.

BioShock: The Collection9
Apr 18, 2017
Even after 10 years and now 3 consoles i am still amazed by Bioshock. It was ahead of it's time for 2007 but even now the gameplay and mechanics hold up nicely. The graphics have had a major overhaul and although you can tell it's a last gen game it has a gorgeous layer of paint over it. The textures, character animations, and overall quality is very well done. I was lucky enough to pick up this package for half off on PSN making the $30 investment for all three games an absolute steal. i would have a hard time paying $60 for these three remastered games but if you are a Bioshock fan than the price is worth it. 2K did Bioshock and it's fans right on this one.
