Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered presents a great opportunity for those who have already played it and those who haven't. For the former, it's a chance to experience its explosive, imperfect glory in a higher framerate and with better visuals. For the latter, it's a chance to play one of the cult classics of last generation at its peak.

Though the remaster—or re-Mars-ter, if you can stomach the title pun—doesn't fix the grave injustice that the game never had a true sequel, it's a compelling reminder of what made it a minor classic.

Overall, it’s a fun jaunt through the past, and although I’m sure I’ll get tired by the eventual repetitiveness, just like all open-world games, it’s a great experience for what the gameplay provides.

In an era where players still get amazed by the superficial damages of covers, Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered remains an exceptional escape from the ordinary, having the power to stimulate the demolishing fantasy of whoever wants to give it a chance. On the other hand, for those who have already razed all the buildings on Mars in 2009, it would be better to focus on something else.

Red Faction Guerilla ReMARStered is far from perfect, but it’s fun, and it’s proof that not every game needs to have a serious, super in-depth narrative to please.

Hopefully, some patches bring this remaster up to par, because it would be unforgivable to have Guerrilla fail a second time due to a rushed port.

Destruction in ist purest. If you need to let off some steam, this is the game for you. Sure, it feels dated, but back in 2009 it was an absolute blast and the destruction is among the best there is even today. KABOOM!!!

It pains me to write this review cuz I am such a big fan of this game, but to remaster it and not fix some of the problems that were in the original is very frustrating. some of the same glitches on multiplayer are still in this game,the crappy matchmaking is still in this game with no server browser. This game has froze on me multiple times on the PlayStation 4. I guess I had my expectations too high for this game. It is not an improvement but just a reskin. if you haven't played the original I highly suggest this game just for the fun on single player but if you have played it before in are expecting a Improvement on other areas not including graphics, you might be disappointed.

.There something wrong about this remaster. They changed to much. Messed up the controls and the camera perspective.. The color of mars is even different. New performance is nice. But somehow the game feels more fun on 360.

Red faction guerrilla Has one of the most amazing destruction physics in video games. but the other part of the game, driving fighting the missions are just tedious and boring, it just never comes together to makes it a wonderful game, the wonderful destruction physics lay on an average foundation

I thought this was going to be a chance to play a fairly bland but entertaining game again. I didn't care for multiplayer, and as you can see, my expectations were fairly low going in. About 5 hours in, after my second crash, the only savefile you can have was corrupted and deleted. I in turn deleted the game. So... wait for a patch, which may never come. And don't go in hoping for multiplayer. If they fixed the crashes and the fact that there's a chance they completely destroy your progress along with them, the game would be a 7 - 8. Typical sandbox extravaganza with pretty fun destruction physics, smashing through buildings with Mjolnir.
