Sadly, there are a million spoof movies and almost 5% of them are reasonable to watch, granted you are a sensible person. But this movie is what it is, a silly spoof. What makes it better is it is not DIRECTLY taking parts from other movies and shooting them out as fast as possible, like most spoofs after Scary Movie. If you like Scary Movie, you will like this. But it isn't meant to be scary or the greatest film, just entertaining. People need to stop thinking their opinion is very strong without context. It's a good spoof movie, compared to the hundreds of terrible spoof movies.

Chris Evans was an amazing Captain America, staying true to what the comics tried to depict as a hard-headed justice seeker. The movie is a great set up to the Avengers, which what it was meant to be.

Yes, I could not believe the low score this movie got. It has the elements that make most cult classics stay relevant today. A great theme of how big business is still just a function of the everyday person. Humorous and awkward love at first sight. Giving this movie less than a 7 means you cannot fill in the blanks with your imagination of who people are... and how they never see themselves as that.

I consider this to be a family movie, because, the reality is, kids come in all shapes and sizes... and we cannot exactly tell who they will grow up to be. And any indirect advertisement for helping underprivileged kids is also good. The humor is not offensive, while at moments a little racist, ironically. And Paul Rudd's personality as an actor is covered immensely here. And Sean Scott - is still Stifler

It does what Sci-Fi is supposed to do 'question the human condition' and it does that between time as currency and the police state being rotated in and out of criminal enterprises.

Another movie attracting the American Pie era lovers... Which I am. Hangover comes to mind, and so does Superbad. The audience who enjoys remembering 'that time' they got wasted with friends and make sassy/witty banter with their own groups of friends. This movie is for cheap laughs and cliche stereotypes being used as entertainment, don't expect more than that.

I do see this movie as original, but, of course, there are borrowed elements from recently popular movies, and over played cliches... like the idea of serial killer killing, and Irish being drunkards... However, there is one moment which stands out among most films in that year... The ending where Walken narrates a scene for the movie the Colin Farrell's character is utterly breathtaking and makes the entire movie change what it is was... from a movie about a psycho-friend and a gang leader, with a movie writer being the focus point to... 'thinking what is in the mind of the people that do the things we could never see ourselves doing..'

X-Men: Days of Future Past

This movie will allow future X-Men films to either return to the story lines, from the comics, or play on a much bigger 'multi-time-line' theme. But, that is only what makes it partially good. The featuring of a variety of X-Men, in depth character building, drama, hardship, American history, and more. Are all slapped together in a coherent and organized manner. Post-JFK, Vietnam war, being the environment of the America the X-Men are involved with, and the idea of the future is imperil ... gives the underlining theme of this movie so much influence on the unconscious viewer. Like what superhero movies should do with creating fantasy that should be applied to reality, this X-Men movie does that and more. Also it is a great recovery from X2 and X3...

The review of echoplex01 made me remember how I often I do not look for the ways women are depicted in movies... It is a normative in Holly Wood to make women weak and fragile, and usually sex objects. However, as for story telling, humor, truth, and a great insight of an American institution (Wall Street) that gives a pretty honest look at how the greedy stay greedy until they either plateau or fall. While thoroughly entertaining, I cannot give more than a 7 because of the reality that will follow this movie... that more will think "I want to be rich too" after watching it, rather than "being rich doesn't buy happiness." A movie to further put the wasteful mentalities of Americans further and further into the void.

I didn't catch on until the near ending the major twist, so that made it good. But after reading some of the other criticisms, I do see where a lot of errors in movie structure exist.. There is only a few seconds of character building, the plot is very basic, and the characters are obvious stereotypes. I give it a 5 because it is a family movie really, anyone can watch it and it isn't offensive, and it can be enjoyed for what it is... another illusionist movie.

Most movies that constantly make you think "What would I do if I were them?" usually ranks higher, especially when the person in the film does what I would do, but better. This movie has a transhumanist theme to it; the idea of where nootropics will bring humanity is called into question. What will change when we can take a drug and learn quantum mechanics, everything about physiology, and understand corporate business, in a month? The negatives of the film do not out shadow the themes presented. While he should of just known to have a gun or weapon to defend himself at certain points... That is what it takes to make a movie dramatic and suspenseful. No one can be perfect, or else it would be entirely unreal.

The movie does capture the 'flavor' of early America; the treatment of blacks as slaves and the major mentalities of white people in their treatment of the slaves. It's definitely one of Tarantino's more historically accurate films, while offering the elements that made him who he is today. My only complaint would be perhaps the use of the N word a few extra times more than necessary. Yet, it would of definitely been very commonly used; mainly noting the last scene between Jamie Fox and Samuel Jackson. Overall, it is not ultra-violent, but a good amount of violence, and offers a genuine look at American history while most western shows and movies gloss over the shallow mindedness and brutality of the era.

It's a paranormal activity movie involving a doll as the center of the suspense. The movie is neither original nor extraordinarily clever. But, it does get the job done for those whom enjoy jump scares and horror with the idea of demons and demonic possessions.

I rate based on comparisons, not some fantasy objective value system. Comparing this superhero movie with the rest it is great. The cliche 'tragic superhero theme' is there but with a fairly fun twist; our hero isn't depicted as potentially amazing right away but as someone as 'less than desirable' by society. No other Marvel Heroes are like this; the rest are generally seen as having some amazing potential right away or just simple existence (like Spider Man and Captain America). The final boss scene is crazy humorous! The ant CGI is powerful! 9/10
