I love Supermassive's games, but this one, for me, is very forgettable due to the fact that the story was made to feel very unimportant based on the ending, and the actions of the characters during the game seemed very strange at times to the point that it ruined the immersion for myself.

The Callisto Protocol is a beautiful game, but sadly, I was disappointed. As a fan of the Dead Space series, I so badly wanted to love The Callisto Protocol, but unfortunately, it did not come near what I was hoping for. The combat seemed interesting and new at the start, but as time went by, I couldn't help but feel like it got stale, due to the fact that nearly all enemies had similar, predictable attack patterns. Also, probably my biggest disappointment was with the boss fights. Through the majority of the game, there are no bosses, or mini-bosses for that matter, to the point that I was convinced there would be none. The first boss you encounter is simply a bullet sponge with the same old attack style that you simply have to side-step and counter. There were more boss fights after this, but very little variety, and none were memorable in my opinion. I would not recommend someone buy this game until you can get the full game, with the season pass content included, for cheap.

This game is excellent! The combat feels great, and improving feels very rewarding. The story evokes strong emotions as well. This is a must-play for all types of gamers.

This game put together horror and platforming in such an unforgettable way. I found myself very invested in the story to the point that I felt the desire to play not only the DLC, but the the sequal directly after completion. I would recommend heavily.

This game surpassed all expectations for this Fromsoftware fan. For me, it has taken the top spot for action RPGs from Skyrim, which is extremely high praise from someone who played that game for a decade. I was astonished by the amount of content in the game, and with the amazing combat system which is now a trademark of Fromsoftware, it is easily my favorite action RPG of all time.

More than 10 years after this title's initial release, I still see Skyrim as my gold standard when rating action RPGs, and I have played it on 3 separate platforms, because it is just that good.

I had a great time playing this game, but there are far to many missions in the main story that could be cut out in order to make the game a good overall experience. The combat system was very fun, but I found myself fatigued by the large amount of mainline missions that added very little to the game.

I can recognize that the game was revolutionary for it's time, but some of the dated gaming mechanics (such as the small inventory) were so insufferable to the point that I would never play the game again.

I would recommend this game, but in my opinion, it is not top tier. I had a great time playing, but I would say the game's story is somewhat forgettable, therefore, I would not rate it higher, because a higher rating would require a story that I was lost in.
