The Delicious Last Course is what a DLC should always be like: complementary to the main game, long, and arguably even better than the main game itself, which was very difficult in this case (at least in some points). Since I've played the physical edition, with all the contents in one, I didn't even have the feeling this was a DLC, and I think that's a very positive impression.

This is a masterpiece, as well as a miracle if you know how it was created. Gameplay is extremely addictive, and the design of characters and bosses is so original that it's no surprise there're already a TV Series, comics, and a lot of merchandising based on the game. Cuphead can also be as challenging as you want it to be, depending on the difficulty choose and the goals you yourself try to achieve; getting all the S rank must be very difficult, for instance. I don't easily give a 10, but this game absolutely deserves it.

Although I admit this is a very good game overall, I have some mixed feelings about it. Gameplay is innovative, as it combines different game styles, but it's definitely worse than a good beat 'em up such as Devil May Cry, for example. I didn't need most of the objects in the game, and I hate that feeling; the fighting parts end up becoming a bit repetitive and simple. Likewise, the storyline is thrilling and puzzling enough, but at the same time I'm not sure the game benefits from dividing it into different playthroughs, instead of just one traditionally narrated story. In any case, the design of characters and the apocalyptic atmosphere of NieR: Automata are pretty unique, so you shouldn't be disappointed after playing it.

This game has a gorgeous aesthetics and design; it is one of the reasons why video games must be considered as an art. In terms of gameplay, some parts become a bit confusing towards the end, but they do not diminish the quality of the experience as a whole. In a narrative sense, the fact that it has no dialogues makes it even more intriguing; you won't forget this game easily.

Awesome aesthetics and atmosphere. Some puzzles can be very challenging, but they are worth solving. This is a more straightforward game than Machinarium, but its ending is even more moving.

This is a curious Spanish game. It's incredibly short, although the collectibles (artificially) prolong the length. It's not a great game in technical terms (I've even experienced a few bugs), but the aesthetics is well-crafted; the contrast between colors is quite unique, although the game is perhaps too dark overall. Beating the game takes no more than 1 or 2 hours, so I'd say it's worth trying.

I've played Borderlands 1, 2, and 3, and I'm convinced this is the best one. I won't say much about story, as it's not something I look for when playing a Borderlands game. However, gameplay is great in terms of variety, locations, challenges and missions... Even weapons seem to work better here. Letting DLCs aside, the main campaign is long enough, as most planets are huge and there is a lot of secondary missions. Borderlands 3 is the result of a well-done job, since it improves a formula that was already successful enough.

This is quite a good racing game; I would actually say it's the best PS4 racing game after Crash Team Racing. The campaign mode is long, and some tracks pose a decent challenge. I didn't try the track builder much, but I did play the online mode quite a lot; there are people playing almost always. I experienced some minor bugs, but my satisfaction is high overall.

Gameplay is awful. I understand they set out to mirror the nuisance of a nightmare with clumsy movements, but this is a game, not a film... In any case, the atmosphere and the design of characters and places is awesome. It's also story-wise, with a great plot wist that you'll surely remember.

I prefer Battle for Bikini Bottom, but this one is good enough as well. The story is quite simple, but gameplay is correct and entertaining; it poses no challenge, but any player -especially children- will get fun playing it. It also offers a decent amount of secrets to discover and secondary missions to accomplish.

Undertale is obviously not the most impressive game in terms of graphics, even though design is pretty beautiful and eye-catching. It is, however, storyline that really shines in this game. I will not include any spoiler here, but this game is rather unique concerning narrative; you may not perceive it at the beginning, but you will do so after beating and even replaying it. As far as gameplay is concerned, I love the fact that it is mini-games based. It is hard to find an easier game than this one regarding gameplay, even among old games, but the fighting system (if you do decide to fight) is addictive and efficient enough. When I first heard about Undertale I was a bit surprised that it had received such a large number of positive reviews; now I understand why, and it deserves them all.

Despite its obvious technical limitations, this is a great 2D action game. The atmosphere is similar to that of Bloodborne or Dark Souls; gameplay is somehow alike, too. A good point is that difficulty is relatively high, as it used to be in classic games of this type. Some parts are truly maze-like, and they are full of different secrets and enemies to discover and fight. Dialogues and texts are of great quality, especially in Spanish; you will probably enjoy this game more if you are familiarized with religious traditions in Spain (mainly Holy Week). When you finish the game, you can clearly perceive how much love the creators put to create every single aspect of Blasphemous. I do not think they could more with less.

It is by no means worse than the first The Evil Within. This second part may be a little more combat-based, but the storyline is definitely up to scratch, better as you progress in the game. It is probably less of a horror game, even though some parts will certainly scare you. Concerning gameplay, I am not sure the semi-open world works very well, but, after all, there are only some chapters with that system. It is not necessary to having played the first game, though I personally recommend to do so. In technical terms, this second game is better.

This a good game, but I still have a slightly unsatisfying feeling about it. Maybe it is just because I am not entirely fond of the game's background, even though I admit the atmosphere is very immersive and the graphics often look gorgeous. The combat system ends up being a bit repetitive, but it is addictive enough overall. Concerning the story and side missions, I perceive ups and downs in it, as some parts are indeed very deep and full of meaning, but others come to me as empty, meaningless. The experience of playing Ghost of Tsushima is positive, in any case, and I strongly recommend it if you like the world of samurais.

This is a decent action game which will particularly like to Star Wars fans, but it is not the great game I thought it would be. The way of moving across the planets is a bit tedious, and I feel holomaps do not help. The storyline is interesting enough, though, and there is a final surprise.

I am aware this rating will be controversial, but I frankly love Gungrave GO.R.E. I watched the anime many years ago, so I already liked the character, but this is not relevant when dealing with the game's mechanics. It is an absolutely addictive beat 'em up that omits the largest scourge in video games (collectibles) in order to offer pure thrill to the player. Infinite ammo (your biggest ally) and a decent number of skills and demolition shots to eliminate hundreds of enemies in a row. The storyline is simple, but effective enough considering what the main goal is. Kill-inducing music works well enough, too. Gungrave G.O.R.E is not repetitive, but addictive. Best violent third-person action game ever together with Splatterhouse and, of course, Devil May Cry.

I have truly enjoyed this game, particularly the last part. It is similar to games such as Limbo, Inside or Little Nightmares, but the story ends up being better in my opinion. Gameplay is based on horizontal scrolling and running away from creatures, though the perspective changes slightly at times. As the story unfolds, the atmosphere becomes more and more alien and ethereal, which is a strength. Something curious is that the explanations in the achievements complement the scenes of the game: they are narrative paratexts. It is not particularly confusing; you may get stuck for some minutes, but you will most likely soon discover how to solve the situations on your own. If you have 2-3 hours, I definitely recommend playing Stela.

It is just a simple relatively funny game. I do not find it particularly addictive, but it may be interesting to share with friends. I would say there are mobile phone games with a similar -yet better- gameplay, but it fulfills its unambitious purpose after all.

I do not feel anything special playing this game, even though it is supposed to be a classic. I appreciate its tacit narrative (the story is captivating, even though there are neither texts nor speeches), but some parts of the game become stupidly hard unless you use a guide. It is somehow similar to the old Prince of Persia games.

A bit more condensed than the precedent Spider-Man game, but equally enjoyable. Gameplay is again a strength, no doubt. The player can notice the story is aimed at contributing to integration in US; I personally do not have much trouble with this if and when it does not seem too forced. It is conveyed in quite a natural way in this case, so great. It is a relatively short but intense action game. I recommend playing Marvel's Spider-Man (2018) first, though Miles Morales is solid enough on its own.

Amazing game, no pun intended. It's a sandbox with addictive gameplay and a lot of objectives to complete, apart from a rather good story. I recommend it either if you like it Spider-Man or not, since it's great as an action game per se. Leaving aside some minor bugs in combats (such as enemies getting trapped inside walls), it's technically very solid, and there are very little loading times (which is very important in this type of game). The three DLCs are also remarkable: interesting intertwined story, more challenging than the main game, new kinds of missions... Overall, Marvel's Spider-Man is very worth playing if you like superheroes and/or action video games.

Great story, deficient execution. The inspiration in Poe's and Lovecraft's style is the main strength of the game, which could have perfectly been a book or a film. Considering it is a video game, it has significant flaws: apart from the poor graphics, there are bugs in dialogues and even in the unfolding of scenes (I have suffered some myself, which made me reload the game). Even though it is a graphic adventure, the movement of the character should also be better, less rigid. I have found some puzzles a bit confusing, too. All these aspects diminish the experience of a story-wise game. If we compare Black Mirror to Call of Cthulhu, which I recently played, the latter is clearly a better game overall.

The worst God of War game, together with Ascension. Gameplay is now horrible: repetitive and lacking enjoyable action. I personally dislike this new mythology, too; not for nothing, they've had to keep some of the old one in this game to make it work. I finished the main game and instantly deleted the game, since I was already bored enough. There are a lot of better action/adventure games than this new God of War, I don't recommend it unless you truly like the character. From my point of view, they've ruined a great series of action video games.

I think this game is quite underrated, though at the same time I can understand some people dislike it because it's highly story-based and you have to like Lovecraft's world to enjoy it (I've read negative critics about this game for being too abstract; well, it's Lovecraft, and it's not an action game). I actually believe it's one of the best adaptations of Lovecraft's short story "Call of Cthulhu" ever. The atmosphere is unique. The graphics have been criticized, but the truth is that the game is very powerful in terms of setting. There's not even time for it to become repetitive because it's rather intense. There could've been some extra variety when playing as other characters, and maybe a little bit of action (it's clearly a modern graphic adventure), but I find it great overall.

This game may not be entirely successful in terms of gameplay, but the story does work. It manages to transmit the tragedy of the character to the player and makes you think about chance and the fragility of life in general. I advise this game if you want a relaxed but meaningful experience.

This is a very good game, from my point of view. Apart from the cool fact that the main character is a cat, gameplay and graphics are well-achieved. Above all, it is story-wise and has an idiosyncratic atmosphere. This is definitely worth playing.

I have not managed to enjoy it, though; maybe it is just too complex to understand it in a single playthrough, as it usually happens with this kind of plots. It was not until I read a summary in the internet that I eventually saw the big picture of the story and how all the pieces work together. The truth is that, if you are unable to understand or enjoy this game's story, you will most likely not enjoy it, because gameplay is not particularly addictive.

Great and very enjoyable game. The fact that it is mostly for kids does not really matter: gameplay is very well-built and it is a fantastic platform game overall. It could have been a bit longer, but it is intense enough. It is also very faithful to the spirit of the original series. I cannot really mention anything truly negative about this game, because, assuming what kind of game it is, I think it is awesome.

Apparently it is a great game, as most of God of War games are. However, you soon realize gameplay is not as varied and/or addictive as it is in the other games. The story ends up being a mere pretext for the action, even though cutscenes are still awesome. Some parts are a bit frustrating, mainly because gameplay is not as good as in the rest of God of War games. All the same, I must say I have played this on PS Now, which may have made the experience a bit worse.

I am not very fond of puzzle or graphic adventure games, but I admit this is a nice one. I have especially enjoyed it because I have played it only a few times per year and in good company. I guess it is not that demanding if you use the clues, though you may still get stuck at certain points. The puzzles are practically all very well-thought and some of them are as challenging as enjoyable to play.

It had been a long time since the last time I played a Tekken game. I've realized that gameplay hasn't really changed, which is a positive aspect because it was already good enough as far as I remember from Tekken 3 or 5. I found the story mode a bit unnecessary, but I guess it's better than nothing. It's probably less demanding than other fighting games, but still complex enough if you want to become an expert at it.

I've always liked the franchise, so it's no surprise that I've enjoyed this one too. Gameplay may end up being a bit repetitive, but it's rather enjoyable overall. The settings are also full of secrets, which slightly increases the length of the game. in any case, it is the online mode that will keep you playing for a long time if you want to continue with the game after beating the main campaign.

To me this is a perfect example of how a classic game ought to be rebooted. The 1997 original game is but an inspiration, as they have updated a large number of aspects: gameplay, graphics and even the story. Most of these changes are wise and foster the creation of a new series of game. I must admit I did not expect the Remake to be like this at the beginning, but on second thought, this a much more sensible game nowadays.

I like karts racing games, so I was eager to play this one. It is doubtlessly worse than Crash Team Racing (which, from my point of view, is the best karts racing game ever, even better than Mario Kart), and even worse than Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing, but it is still a good game. I do not like the fact that races require you to play in teams, because I think it makes the game more luck-based. All the same, gameplay is fine enough once you are used to it and there is a good range of tracks and characters to choose. Online mode works properly as well, as far as I have been able to check.

Honestly, one of the worst football games I have ever played. It is no surprise that the franchise is going to be free from now onwards: there is no comparison with FIFA. I guess eFootball is an option for casual gamers who do not want to pay too much for a football game, but, in my opinion, it is no longer a decent football game; gameplay is simply awful, in many senses: the movements of the players, refereeing... It is just too random and not even strictly skill-based.

Destroy All Humans! is a good remake overall. The story and humor are probably the best part, though gameplay is often very enjoyable too. There are some technical issues when there is much going on at the same time, but playing this game is still an advisable experience.

As a Star Wars fan, it does not come as a surprise that I have largely enjoyed this game. The campaign is average, mainly for having fun with quick straightforward action, but it is appreciated that they included it. Yet, it is in the online that Battlefront II truly makes sense. The standard more competitive mode is probably that of heroes, but there is anyway a wide range of modes to keep you busy for hours.

I enjoyed the narrative style of the game. It is almost impossible to explain why without revealing anything about the story, so I will simply say that the narrative resources used in Doki Doki Literature Club! are very wisely managed, in such a way that everything fits at the end of the game. It cannot be truly appreciated without considering the experience as a whole, rather than as separate chapters or moments. The game is worth playing, since it is not particularly long after all. Even if you do not particularly like it while playing, you will most likely remember the style of narration for a long time.

I cannot be totally objective because this is one of my favourite games ever, but holy cow... This remastered version is as amazing in our time as the classic game was twenty years ago. There is a lot of new content while maintaining the same essence: new tracks, new characters, new modes, more options for the Adventure, online mode... (re)playing this has been of my best video games experiences. If only the platinum trophy would have been more difficult. Do not hesitate if you enjoyed the original game; I guess the online mode could have been a bit better, but it still works fine and the game is frankly great overall. I would even say this is my favourite game together with BioShock and, perhaps, Rocket League.

Playstation Move was one of biggest failures: I did not really like it and, thus, I played very little. The Shoot is a perfect example for me. I always found it hard to control and not funny in comparison with normal FPS games. I guess I am very traditional in terms of controller, but I would not buy Move or The Shoot ever again.

I really like this game, as well as the DLCs, though the retail version clearly has a problem with loading times. I died many times when beating the game on the hardest mode, and it was really frustrating to wait 40 seconds to reappear and die again. But beyond that, the story is one of the most intriguing for a horror game and gameplay is rich enough (just a bit orthopedic for certain things, but nothing too serious).

A great first-person-shooter, in my opinion. It is probably not particularly interesting in terms of story, but gameplay and atmosphere are great. I would say it is also way better than the first The Darkness.

Considering this was free, it is a very valuable game. It is similar to the rest of the Tekken, though obviously more limited.

I remember enjoying this game, it is simple but funny. You can play with friends and trophies are challenging enough. It is probably not a big game, but you can certainly enjoy very much if you know how to make the most of it.

I bought this one by the time it was released, and it instantly became one of my favourites to play with friends. Story mode was entertaining too, and insanely difficult if you wanted to get all the stars. The only pity was the online mode did not work very properly; Rocket League improved that, which is the reason why it has become so popular. I was always surprised Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle Cars did not receive more attention as a competitive game.

I enjoyed this game quite much, as the gameplay is intuitive and it poses a challenge if going for all the trophies. It is simple but well-built and entertaining.

This remastered version is quite good in general. It clearly improves the controls in comparison with those of the classic game, and the graphics and mechanics are evidently more polished. It is curious that some bugs still occur (I got stuck in a part of the Ghost Ship setting and had to reset the level), but it is very nice overall. Some additions have also been made, such as the lost souls (which allow to unlock the classic game); I do not particularly like collectibles, but it is appreciated that they have made the effort to add some new contents. If you are nostalgic you will probably enjoy this game more, but it is still a funny and enjoyable experience to play it for the first time in this version.

What Remains of Edith Finch is mostly a narrative experience, though it does have some interaction too. Its main strengths are definitely the atmosphere and storytelling; the idea that imagination may become deadly is brilliant and very well conveyed in the game.

The story is absolutely brilliant, a proof of what video games can actually narrate. In terms of gameplay it is also good, I do not mind that there is no action other than escaping from the monsters. Highly recommended if you are searching for a deep thought-provoking experience.
