This free-to-play version of Tekken is a very good deal on the PSN. Of course it is free... but it also features beautiful graphics, more accessible gameplay and a lot of online gamers available to compete with.

There's plenty to play with here, but you'll have to pay to win online. [Oct 2013, p.75]

Tekken Revolution is more experimental than Combot, but solid execution on some admittedly controversial ideas ensure that this free-to-play fighter is worth a bash. Franchise fans will feel more frustrated than Devil Jin upon witnessing the watered down gameplay mechanics, but casual combatants may find themselves lured back into the wacky world of the King of Iron Fist Tournament on the back of the digital download’s inherent accessibility and free entry fee.

I'm glad this piece of crap is a shutdown and probably the worst Tekken game.

I would give it a 4 but just because the character select theme was good I give it one point more. I’m happy that they hadn’t done this again after this one bcs man It was really bad from the mechanics to the way it presented itself just everything was so weird and bad. the thing that pops up in my head if I see Tekken revolution of hear about it is “why was this needed, who the **** asked for this”
Well just forget about this one ever existing.

It’s just like being back in the arcades (with lots of Japanese kids kicking your arse). [August 2013, p79]

One of the best games I've ever played this year especially that this game is a free-to-play game.I mean that is **** game play of this game is so awesome and good.I mean after you beat your opponent you got to see the final strike or technique you've done to beat **** cool is that! And even the graphics of this game has good quality.I mean its the best graphics I've ever seen in a fighting game! But the only problem in this game is that you can only play arcade mode if you have battle coins or Premium tickets. That disappointed me too much that I can't put a score of 10 in this game.I mean this game should have been the best game I've ever played if this game is like the other Tekken games where you can play freely without paying. Well even though that disappointed me too much I can't say that this is a bad game because I think that this game rocks!I will give this game a score of 9/10 because This game is awesome!I'm telling you these guys try downloading this game now and try playing It!This game is cool!

For a free game, Tekken Revolution is really good. But no training mode?? (Namco said they will add it soon though) Tekken is one of the best fighting games, very fun, and Revolution is a good exemple. But i'm not a big fan of the coins system, just my personal opinion. Everyone can try it since it's free, and probably will like it.

A good experiment, that lacks content. With its more accessible gameplay, and some intelligent changes to the system, it may become a success in the future.

The simplified gameplay mechanics and additional balancing ideas should provide a more level playing field to start off on. Longtime series fans, however, are likely to be left cold by this stripped-down title, which eschews the combo-juggling they are used to.

The revolution of Tekken is real, but not necessary. Tekken Revolution appears like the poor version of a great brand. In this case, the free price was the only right price.

The business model in Tekken Revolution makes a great game only decent.

Tekken Revolution is a great game. The gameplay is simplified and accessible, but there are a ton of moves to learn. The graphics are gorgeous, great character models and stages. The music is good but not the best in Tekken in my opinion. The only negative thing is that there aren't a lot of characters at the start, but the game is often updated with new content. Plus it's FREE!! You have to try it. It's available on the PlayStation Network.
