After 25 years spent in prison while not spilling the beans, Stalonne's Dwight Manfredi should be careful about his actions, rights? As like... I don't know - don't go to jail again, because you will die there and you would like to rekindle with your grown daughter, right? Nope. After a few slow episodes the show goes **** crazy with murder, even by characters that clearly don't have it in their nature. And also... police and investigations don't exist here. Well... unless you need some dirty cops. Then each and every one in Tulsa will fit in just fine. Most of the clips flying over the internet are from the first few episodes, when the show is entertaining. As the story progresses you the obvious emerges: this is not a smart show. Nope. The plot has it's moments, sometimes the action is quite gory and brutal, but other then that? It doesn't make any sense and wouldn't happen in real life. It's like a teenagers image of what being a criminal is. Dialogues, acting and most of the ideas are corny. That suits Tulsa, I guess, but it doesn't suit a decent TV show in 2026. At least in my oppinion. First season was for the most part okay, second saw a decently big decline and the third was plainly dull and unwatchable for me. I skipped most of it and won't be coming for anything more than a quick FF through future ones.

Show is decent but, is starting to feel stale and episodic, just a new villain each season with no overarching plot.

Tulsa King really won me over. It may not be the deepest, most innovative, or most perfect series in the world, but it has something many others do not: charisma, pace, and a very clear sense of how to have fun with its own premise. In a landscape full of shows trying very hard to seem important, that is genuinely refreshing. From the beginning, it is obvious that the series knows exactly what it wants to be and does not waste time pretending otherwise.A big part of its charm comes from the sly, wry tone that runs through the whole thing. Within Taylor Sheridan’s world, which so often leans toward severity, dryness, and relentless heaviness, Tulsa King arrives with a more playful, lighter, and much funnier energy. It does not abandon crime, violence, or underworld tension, but it mixes them with humor in a way that makes everything go down easier and gives the show a very distinct personality of its **** then, of course, there is Stallone. The series works because he carries it so well. He has presence, experience, irony, and that kind of charisma you simply cannot manufacture. His character feels like part old wolf, part displaced dinosaur, and part survivor with more street knowledge than everyone else put together. And Stallone plays all of that without slipping into self-parody. What is nice is that he does not just project toughness, but also humor, vulnerability, and a very natural way of occupying the **** show also knows how to support him. The secondary cast works well, the tone is mostly under control, and the mix of mob drama, dry comedy, and culture clash comes off better than it might sound on paper. It is not flawless, though. There are some cartoonish moments, a few very implausible situations, and things that depend more on overall charm than on impeccable writing. But honestly, in a series like this, that matters less when the whole thing is this watchable.What matters most is that Tulsa King is tremendously enjoyable. It has that classical-series feeling built around a strong central character, direct conflicts, and entertainment delivered with confidence. It is not trying to reinvent the genre, but rather to give it a friendlier, more relaxed, and more enjoyable twist. And that suits it extremely well. In a way, it is even refreshing that it does not pretend to be more transcendent than it really is.That is why I like it so much. To me, it is a very charming and highly entertaining series with a terrific Stallone at the center, proving that he can still carry an entire production on his shoulders. That blend of mafia, humor, experience, and sharpness gives it a very special identity. I really hope Season 4 arrives soon, because this is exactly the kind of show you are happy to stay with for a while longer.

I really thought this show had more potential. The first season played out like a quirky gangster show. A former mobster creating a non-mafia crew using non Italian mafia criminals. Unfortunately by the mid-way through the second season it becomes clear this is just a drama that features some mafia characters and little actual "gangster" content. It's disappointing and not as interesting as it could be. Also you could play a drinking game with the amount of times that they say "busting my balls" in this show.

I believe Tulsa King is a great show and is a very deliverable thriller as you want to know what happens next after every episode, it places the audience in my own eyes in the place of what the reality of a real MAFIA looks and is like. I believe Samuel L. Jackson was a great addition and hope he continues in the series and also I believe another great addition to the series would also be Terrance Howard and Robert De Niro.

Love this series, for me is well done keep me interest , the episode go really fast.

Top notch stars from Sylvester Stallone, Martin Starr, Domenick Lombardozzi, Garret Hedlund, and many others to come in as the season continues. I enjoy the blend of classic east coast mafia beginnings to expansion of the modern heartland. The story is easy paced with action to match. Not too much and not too little. No overdramatic use of CGI.

Tulsa King is a really cool series with Sylvester Stallone. He plays an old mobster who, after prison, gets sent to quiet Oklahoma. Why it works:Stallone is perfect in the role — full of charisma and **** to watch old-school mafia clash with the modern **** action, laughs, and a light tone that keeps it easy to watch. Bottom line: a dynamic, funny, and fresh crime series. Stallone truly is the king here.

The first season of Tulsa King was ok, nothing special but not a bad product. The second is even simpler than the first and I find some of the lines of dialogue very random, as if they were gap fillers.

I really enjoy the story. I grew up watching goodfellas, the godfather, Sopranos, casino etc.. this show IMO is the best show I’ve watched in the last few years. Sly is great and the supporting actors are perfect.

Cool story. Action- and humor-packed. Stallone is doing great. Fun to watch, I binged almost an entire season in one evening.

Painfully bad on almost every level. The plot is dumb, the acting almost universally lifeless, and even the action is generally boring. Safe to skip this one unless you're champing for that next Expendables "hit."

The series was the surprise success of the year for me. Great series with a fantastic, outstanding Sylvester Stallone in the lead role. The man is simply amazing! At the proud age of 77, he shows it to everyone. Even the supporting roles, all well cast, TOP casting! This is how you make an exciting series. You need strong will and passion for the film. Then everything works! TOP! BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO!

OK Stallone hat mit stolzen 73 ne neue Serie gemacht und die hat mich Super **** will ich nach der Arbeit vom Fernseher ,mich Unterhalten lassen und mir keine ekelhafte kranke politische propaganda (W-o-k-e) mit den vorschlaghammer eintrichtern zu lassen. Hoffe gibt eine zweite Staffel

Ce bon vieux Sly tient toujours la forme !… avec bien sûr un peu d’aide de quelques charcudocs… mais le voir distribuer quelques pains (quelle générosité)… comme s’il avait toujours 40 piges, ça fait tout de même bizarre. Mais le pire à voir, c’est de le regarder parader comme à la parade, sans arrêt ! Certes, on sait qu’il a chopé le melon depuis longtemps déjà mais selon ses rôles (parfois, du moins certains), il savait se mettre justement au service du rôle… comme dans les premiers Rambo et Rocky… Mais ici, il parade, il claironne, il radote, il ringarde, il ringardise… il se ringardise lui-même ! mais sans être drôle pour autant, même au second ou troisième degré. Et c’est fatigant, très fatigant… et très énervant aussi. Comme le ton général de la série ou le manque de ton peut-être. Qu’est-ce donc au fait ? une comédie ? pas réellement. Une série policière ? pas vraiment. Et puis, on est où là, dans ce patelin de merde du fond du trou de balle des états réunis de l’Amérique à blaireaux ? Et c’est quoi cette histoire complètement invraisemblable, tous ces évènements qui laissent incrédule, ces dialogues ratés et ridicules à la fois ? cette fausse nostalgie de vieux con sur le retour ? et ce rythme en dents de scie et toujours plus mollasson à chaque fois… Pourtant les épisodes sont en nombre limité (9) et souvent assez courts (moins de 40 mn avec le résumé). Qu’est-ce qu’ils ont foutu, franchement ? on nage dans les clichés périmés et le grotesque à la limite de la bouffonnerie ! c’est navrant.

(Mauro Lanari) Sly didn't keep his word with "The Expendables" by not giving way to a new generation of action heroes and now provides us with another of Taylor Sheridan's mouthful of pulp nihilism.

"Tulsa King" (S01, 9 eps, 35-42 min, Paramount+) is the latest gem from popular creator/writer Taylor Sheridan featuring Sylvester Stallone - in his FIRST tv show - as a fresh-from-prison gangster exiled to Tulsa. The show also features his real-life daughter, Scarlet, in a minor role, also her first tv appearance. The shortish nine episodes fly by pretty quickly as it's tough to try to watch this night to night, instead, you'll want to binge all at once. The pacing is good, the casting/acting/directing/writing and production values are all first class. Inside this first season his character, Dwight Manfredi, manages to get on the "we must kill him" sides of a rival crime gang in Tulsa and his former "family" in NYC. The season finale ends with a you-saw-it-coming betrayal which could return him to prison. A sophomore season has already been green-lit but will we have to wait a year or more to get another paltry 8+ eps?

Very entertaining show. Reminds me a little of Banshee which was also awesome. Great to see Stallone do something a little different but also lots of other cool cast involved.

It's like GTA on TV. The show is fairly enjoyable if you don't take it too seriously.

It has been a long time since I saw Sylvester Stallone on any screen and I think his acting is far better as a 70-something than work he did as a younger man. This first season of Tulsa King really shows how he can show us how talented he is, he shines on-screen and I look forward to more of this TV series because of him. Well done Mr. Stallone.

Writer/director Taylor Sheridan is hot right now for Yellowstone, but he also developed this series for Sylvester Stallone. After serving 25 years in jail, his character's mob boss sends him to Oklahoma to start over. Naturally, this involves lots of Stallone playing his usual tough guy, shoving people around physically and mentally. There are splashes of violence, as the character works his way into the local scene, but nothing about the series stands out. Sheridan is known for creating interesting people and pithy dialogue, although there's some sprinkled about, there's not much of that here. This is mostly about a bully (with a few moments of tearful drama), so those who enjoy Stallone being Stallone will find plenty to enjoy. (Review based on 5 of 6 one-hour episodes)

I'll admit, when I first heard about the Tulsa King my immediate thought was that it would be a weak cousin of the Sopranos, or some woke take on the world of the mafia. But was I wrong. This show slowly but gradually grows on you right from the first episode, and as it continues it only gets better. This role fits Sylvester Stallone like a glove, and Sly is really showing that he should've been doing TV series earlier in his career, because he for sure is carrying this show all by himself. There are other characters for sure that also interesting, but none carries himself like Stallone does. And Stallone is bringing his A+ game on every episode, even going to the point of proving he can be very emotional and believable while doing it. The shows knows when to be serious, funny, dark, and hopeful. Even when Sly addresses the current problem of wokeness, he does so logically explaining exactly how the current Gen Z has no idea what the previous generations had to go through. His character doesn't insult in any way those that are woke, he just asks the very reasonable question of when will enough be enough. I for one am loving Tulsa King, and I strongly recommend it to anyone that just wants to watch a great show, without any politics, wokeness, allowing the viewer to just relax and have a good time.

Tropes, clichés, unbelievable plot? That must be a streaming cop/bad boy drama on a streaming platform. Plus, here the hook is a 98 year-old Sly acting like he's on WWE. REJOICE PLEBS!

The series has both funny and dramatic elements. The development of the plot is very interesting to watch. The film's star, Sly, gives an authentic performance. This movie is a breath of fresh air in the midst of all that comes out in our time.
