It is a far cry from the bleach blonde mullets and eccentric characters of the original series, which led to TikTok videos and hilarious Carole Baskin impressions, and offers a more serious insight into the world of the big cat enthusiast. Containing very sensitive topics, The Doc Antle Story should be viewed with caution.

This spinoff fails to stir up nearly as much bing-worthy excitement or as many jaw-dropping revelations as the first “Tiger King” (nor its lackluster follow-up released just three weeks ago).

As binge-worthy escapism at the end of a long day, it really isn’t any fun at all.

If you’re expecting another outlandish chapter of Tiger King, you’re going to be disappointed with The Doc Antle Story. In fact, the more we watched, the more we wanted to take a shower for a good half-hour just because we turned it on.
