The series was built around Rick Grimes which is an amazing character just like most of the other's. The series is catchy, scary and thrilling at all times. Tho the series was kinda stretched too far a bit in my opinion which gave the series a kinda boring taste past season 7.

The gritty realism of the end of the world as we know it is everything that kept me glued to this series right up until it became nothing but shock-value slop! As a fan of the comics I took this series as an homage to its roots, but then it went too hard into the bait-an-switch "dead, not dead" of nearly every character we loved. The final straw for me (and ultimately what made me turn it off for good) was the premiere of season 7 and that turned it all into a show that I had watched more than once into a show I would never watch again. RIP Walking Dead.

My Review – The Walking Dead – 10/10 I gave The Walking Dead a 10 out of 10 because it’s intense, emotional, and endlessly gripping. The story of survival in a post-apocalyptic world is full of suspense, and the characters are complex and memorable. The tension, moral dilemmas, and constant sense of danger keep you on the edge of your seat, and the show balances action, drama, and horror perfectly. The Walking Dead is an exceptional exploration of human nature under extreme circumstances. What makes the series stand out isn’t just the post-apocalyptic setting or the constant threat of zombies it’s the deep psychological and moral questions it raises about survival, community, and identity. The show effectively uses its bleak environment to strip away social norms and reveal the complexities of human behavior. Characters like Rick Grimes and Daryl Dixon evolve in ways that challenge viewers to consider what “right” and “wrong” even mean when society collapses. Overall, The Walking Dead succeeds as both a thrilling drama and a thought-provoking study of morality and resilience.

Some great highlights, slow burn seasons, preferred the grounded people vs zombies over the clan/clique moments. Not a bad watch, don't see myself re-watching this show personally. Stopped at Season 9.

I don't understand this low score. This TV show doesn't even hit top 10 of all best of time. I'm not saying It is like best of the best of course not. But When you take a look back at It, This tv show was pretty good back in the day. It took that Zombie, post apocalypse trend and took it on a different level. Name me one more show or movie that does it on this level. On a level that was almost Innovative or basicall, is. It is definitely not for all people, especially if you don't like this kind of world You still might not like it even if you would like the story cause It is a world that is distinct, so there is no middle. You either like it or don't. But I think for a OG like this 79 is a bit lower. It could've been around 84-85 It should be.

Es una serie bastante compleja pero con giros muy importantes para poderle dar una buena historia a sus espectadores empezando desde las distintas personalidades del grupo hasta como ellos mismos intentan salir adelante ya sea unabuema o mala desicion para el grupo

Overall enjoyable TV series. The first seasons are heavily based on the survival aspect within a world destroyed by a zombie apocalypse, then a phase begins where the protagonists are involved in a clash with other rival cities until reaching the central phase (which constitutes the fundamental story of the TV series) where the protagonists come into conflict with Negan's Saviors. After this phase the series decreases in intensity and begins to be a series of episodes that narrate scenes of daily life and secondary missions, until reaching a conclusion that does not seem like a real conclusion but a stop to not continue a narrative that is now flat and devoid of content. Instead, the themes regarding a possible solution to repair the world (thrown at a certain point halfway through the series and then never recalled) and the evolution that zombies seem to have when the series is in its final stages are thrown in rather randomly. Enjoyable to watch from start to finish, even if the last seasons are a pastime and offer almost nothing in terms of story

The first and second seasons are great, 9/10. The third season is somewhat watchable, although it is already quite stupid. In the fourth season, a total disintegration begins. Extremely boring dialogues and forced dramatic moments without any real content. I don't understand how there are so many people who can watch this garbage. After Season 2, the producers managed to completely destroy the series with an extremely bad script and watering down the plot in order to save on production costs, but maximazing profits. It's hard to believe how stupid, untalented screenwriters work in the TV industry.

Seasons 1-4 were good, the writing wasnt perfect and at times it felt repetitive, but anything that comes after season 4 is garbage.

Pretty great show. Characters and writing are very good. The 8th season is a drag but otherwise the pacing is great

If it was seasons 1-5 it would be a 10. It could even be a 9 if only the last few seasons weren't so awful. The last 6ish seasons had there ups and downs and its downfall was the death of characters but still it fell off too hard. I give it the 8 because it at 1 point was the best show on TV

It was one of the best TV series I watched. Even after 11 seasons, it ended GREATLY. It had ups and downs between the seasons, but it kept going until the end. Looking forward to seeing the spinoffs.

A really good show (but i think they should've called it "The Talking Dead" lol(not a bad thing though) ). It's interesting, fun and sad at the same time. All of my favourite characters died though :(

First four seasons: top notch. Five and six: yikes. Negan seasons: Atrocious and IP-destroying. Whisperers: a new glimpse of hope. Everything after: unwatchable garbage.

The quality of the show really started to dip after season 7/8, but it is still a show I will always love. I love the world-building and apocalyptic aesthetic and one of the more influential shows in zombie apocalyptic media. The show is full of some incredible acting performances as well.

The reason why the imbd and metacritic scores are low is definitely because the series is tired and some episodes are not wrapped up, but apart from what I said, the series is absolutely perfect.

Loved the first couple of seasons. Sadly the show took a turn for the worse. I reeeeealy tried watching it all, but I "only" made it to season 7 or 8. The characters are just plot devices, and you stop giving a damn about the "characters" once they stop acting like a real character, and start being as I said, plot devices.

It was okay and very epic until they saw it more like a moneyprinter than an actual show...

I decided to rewatch the show again after i stopped watching it around season 5 i believe my reason was it was dragging with boring characters and repeated scenes as the show kept on and slowly its started to eliminate the horror aspect of it you know the (Zombies) which what the whole show should be about. Anyway, after completing the first season which in my opinion was the best season in the whole show especially the first episode which was intriguing and tense, i really did enjoy the whole first season even though i remember what will happen in most of it but still kept me surprised and interested, i only wished its as interesting in the next seasons but i know its not but again i am willing to give it another chance this time since the show has ended. So 1st season for me is 9/10.

the impact that this show has had on my life is immeasurable. so many hours of entertainment ,so much emotions , I recommend the walking dead to everyone on this planet. especially now that the show has ended

I think it's a stupid show, it's just no big deal and doesn't deserve 10 seasons

Last season has some of the worst writing on television. And then we get a "making of" at the end of each episode as if some effort went in to making it

One of my favorite series. You either love this type of show or hate it, there is no in-between. I've watched all episodes and all seasons so far. The first seasons were brilliant, exciting and new in their design. What impressed me most was the narration. Each character has depth and is well told. The undead are actually only the framework in a dystopian world of the last survivors of a deadly virus epidemic. Unfortunately, this series will soon come to an end.

I don't quite get the enthusiasm about this show. It's watchable only in streaming, thanks to the magic of fastforwarding. 3/4 of it is made of boring, useless and meaningless conversations. The fanbase motto should be '**** and go shoot something''. The 1st season is a masterpiece of zombie fiction, afterwards it has obviously been passed to some **** 5star motels dwellers knowing nothing. Nor willing to consult professionals or to just fkin google stuff. I mean dramatic tensions about water shortages near wells and rivers wtf. Boiling, distillation, treatment.. old world mysteries forever lost duh. Same about taking guard shifts, putting up some tincan wires, basic armor, basic wooden fortifications etc. Da enemy is a dumb slow moving creature armed with bad teeth ffs. Squirrels have more chances taking over the world. Same about pulling out of the box camouflage.. no u can't put it back it's over baby u've won the war u can close shop. Omg. The risk of any character dying at any time couldve been used for tense moments all along, contrasting with regular entertainment where u know the hero wonlt die. But no, they're just randomly slaughtered now and then, usually at the end of each season. And so on and so forth Bottomline.. just plain dumb

It's only good from season 1 to 6 after them the series just went downhill in EVERY way

The writers for a BS ending like this show has, should be punished by not letting them write anything else ever. We knew that the show will end on 11th season for more than a year before that, and still they managed to introduce a bunch of other characters and open multiple individual stories, and yet they fail to conclude anything. Because of this BS ending, I won't even try to watch Fear of the Walking Dead, nor any spin-off. What is the point of watching BS TV show that will run for as long as there are viewers, and then just as soon as viewership falls down, they throw the show to the garbage. Never seen worse ending of a show.
