I can't see anything. It's too dark. Everything is all black. I've tried every setting on my TV. My TV is just fine, it's new, 4K etc etc. Why is this show so dark ?? Is that a light? Wait, I can see a face !! Oh, it's gone now. What's happening, people are talking? Why can't I see anything ?? Turn on the lights !!!

Wow this is bad, unwatchable. What happened ?? It used to be fresh and interesting. Now it's as stale as a 4-day old bagel, and as tedious as watching paint dry. What a disappointment.

Why are the critics crazy for this ? Why does the NY Times recap every episode, while they ignore much better and more culturally significant entertainment ? It's bizarre. There's nothing remarkable here. The show meanders. The relationships are awkward and don't make sense. Oh, the zombie plague is a fungus not a virus ! Errr, wow, so original ? ...

Andrew Lincoln is always a pleasure to watch. But he can only do so much with tired, predictable writing. The same moral predicaments have been done so many times, but they're universal --- I find it hard to believe they can't be made fresh. The problem with this show is the writing. Plain and simple, it's bad, boring and predictable. And pushing "The Walking Dead Universe." Come on, we understand your IP ambitions, but keep it to yourself. The world has had enough of the MCU. Your IP ambitions are your business. Just give us good stories. This isn't one. Hire some fresh and dangerous writers.

This is the best thing I've seen on TV in years. Finally, a show I feel isn't lying to me all the time. So refreshing, honest, and funny. Thank you !

Not bad. But are there no tall actors? The real Adam Neumann is 2m tall. That's tall, and that physical dominance is such a big part of who he is. I really felt that aspect was missing. Leto did an OK job with the Hebrew accent, but it wasn't quite there. He nailed the consonants, but the vowels weren't quite there.

Men are monsters. Wow, isn't this genre a cliche by now. It seems to be Moss's thing. At what point does it become simple misandry? I guess we're already there.

Woke and boring, with pandemic historical revisionism. Come on, nobody called it Covid at the beginning of the pandemic. It was Coronavirus, Corona, even the Wuhan virus. It wasn't until maybe a year in that the media settled on Covid, and that was after Covid-19. This is a small detail of course, but it's symptomatic of what's wrong with this show. It's afraid of its own shadow. The most real it gets is having a rural Southerner in an elitist milieu, but even then they managed to make her a lesbian, sorry bisexual, with a pill-popping wet trash family. Yawn ! Boring !

Are the critics here in Disney's pocket, or did they not watch the same show I've been watching. Well, trying to watch--it's that bad. I could barely pay attention it's so boring and tedious. And I tried hard. There is nothing fresh or risky here. Boring, boring, boring.

Christoph Waltz is an absolute pleasure to watch. All the supporting cast does well too.

What a disappointment, Succession decided to "go woke." Calling the fascist President Mencken. Wow, the writers learned so much in college! Now I guess they can go home and feel like they made a difference in the world. A show that was once great and Shakespearian turned into Mr. Rogers Neighborhood by a bunch of over-coddled and under-educated writers. Should I say -- Sad !

Wow, how did they mess this one up. The books weren't bad. This is boring, tedious, predictable. Really a disappointment. Oh well. Eventually they'll wake up and maybe look back into the past to find fresh. The stuff they're selling now sure ain't fresh.

First episode is good, and it gets better from there. It's fresh. It's smart. It's contrarian, but in a fun way.

There's no way the critics showering it with praise watched past episode 4 or so. It starts to fall apart and becomes almost incoherent and nonsensical by the middle to end of the season. Drama is more than one act -- critics do your job.

This is one monstrous cliche. I'm saddened by the waste of the acting talent, and troubled that the entertainment producers believe that the public is stupid and mediocre enough to swallow this as entertainment. There's no way that critics truly believe (collectively) this deserves a green metascore. There must be some form of collective corruption.

Tedious. Predictable. Harpy. Unimaginative. Shrill. I could go on. What a waste of talent. Don't waste your time too.

Just watched Ep. 1. Odenkirk is such a pleasure to watch. Really happy he's back on TV. I've missed him.

No reason to watch this. The hype machine really built this one up. So I had hope, finally a good zombie show. The Walking Dead is so tired. I've watched the first 3 episodes and already I'm disappointed. The acting is high-end, the FX are there, but it's an empty shell -- there's nothing fresh here. Game of Thrones was fresh because it reset fantasy from the good-evil idealism of LOTR that had dominated for two generations to a realpolitik that makes more sense for our times. Here there are no new ideas, no risk-taking. Don't bother.

Solid background entertainment. Though it did take a wrong plot turn at one point IMHO, but no spoilers. Yes, it suffers from Netflix-Disney wokeism. They need to hire more diverse thinkers and writers, diverse where it matters -- in ideas and moral perspective. Actually, the acting was pretty good IMO -- especially the guy from the Wire (Lance ****) who's always a true pleasure to watch and always delivers a quality performance. And the two younger daughters were good too. Also, shows like this need a hygiene update for the Covid age. Covered in blood and you just flop down on the bed. No, you shower first. Other details too -- like a scientist or researcher would never say "that's disgusting" when someone spits into a petri dish

The performance of Michael Keaton is some of the best acting I've seen in awhile. He deserves every inch of all the prizes he won for this performance. The only neg for me is the somewhat overwrought non-linear storytelling

The only thing Canadian about this are the token Canadian flags sprinkled here and there. If this qualifies as "can con" there's something wrong with the regulations. An unimaginative and risk-averse sit-com transposed onto a lake and given some superficial Canadian veneer.

The plot is just so-so, but the acting is top end. A pleasure to watch just for that

Wow, what an unsatisfying ending. Putting the incoherent and impossible plot aside, all the half-interesting characters lose and the ones you hate win. I saw where it was going and kept hoping for some kind of twist, but no they actually went through with the worst possible ending.

Technically not "bad" or "wrong" in any way, but worse -- Boring. Predictable. No surprises. No challenges for the audience. Everything that's wrong with TV today. Why should I care? Don't bother unless you just want some background noise while working

It's become a boring network TV show with ideas at the level of high school

There's a void in space. You can't "swim" through space with a breaststroke. It's not just the sci-fi that's bad. You'll dislike the characters you're supposed to be sympathizing for. No, you'll despise their boring cliched flatness. You'll be rooting hard for the aliens to end them. This is hard to watch. You have much better ways to spend your time. I've never written a metacritic review before. The badness of this show inspired me to sign up. Because this kind of bad television is an existential risk to our species.
