The Guardians of Justice

Really fun series. Sure it does a lot of popcolotural refrences, and the styles mash together (lots of diffrent styles), but you can clearly see that the creator didn't want the series to be takes seriously.

Imagine if every superhero,Culturally, famous figure, and otherwise Universally known person, place or thing was Universally known person place or thing was roasted at a comedy Centralroast, then was made into the character that was described by the roaster. I love that this movie allows us to really see what we think of and superhero, iconography and characters by making fun of them and putting the alter universe on the screen then we make a judgment call and laugh at the same time and know ourselves better as far as we consider heroes of 1000 faces

This is an odd show, but also oddly compelling. It starts off as if you stayed up for a week reading Garth Ennis comics while the weirder parts of Adult Swim play on TV. It edgy superhero stuff, but it uses a wide swath of mixed media both to provide a momentum to the action and story telling (and to save on the Superhero effects budget). But then it starts to make some interesting choices and I was honestly surprised where it winds up. The story follows a bunch of dark Justice League equivalents and kicks off with Marvelous Man (nee Superman) committing suicide in front of the world. Night Hawk (nee Batman) must investigate the death, and this mission provides a view into this world. Its only 7 episodes in the first season, so its worth a watch if ya got three and half hours to kill.

HOLY WD-40, PENGUIN! WAIT - YOU'RE NOT THE BEAVER! ... - Let's get this out of the way - there is a unique graphical presence that makes The Guardians of Justice sometimes fun to watch. ****, this is garbage. I have seen better fanboy productions, complete with better writing. Every episode is throwing so much background data at the screen, the screen constantly flashing and the setting always in constant motion that there should be an epileptic seizure warning prior to each episode. The Guardians of Justice is like watching multiple seasons of an anthology series with episodes laid one on top of another. There is zero originality, zero craftmanship, z.e.r.o. value in every episode. I would find more entertainment in NETFLIX just displaying a pile of burning money that each episode would have cost. You keep experimenting NETFLIX, and eventually that spaghetti will stick to the wall.
