(ENG) This isnt just a stylized series, i've already watched it three times, and this third time was to refresh everything ahead of The Immortal Man, which only confirmed how good it really is, it achieves something few shows manage, a very strong identity, from the music, cinematography, and atmosphere to the sheer presence of Tommy Shelby, everything feels distinct, there may be plenty of excellent crime dramas, but Peaky Blinders doesnt feel like just another one, it has an aura, a way of building tension, and such a marked aesthetic that it becomes unforgettable. What benefits it most is how it layers so many elements without breaking apart, family drama, criminal rise, politics, war trauma, ambition, love, self destruction, and power, Tommy Shelby isnt just a charismatic lead, hes one of those characters who can carry an entire series thanks to the complexity he embodies, cold, calculating, brilliant, but also profoundly broken, he never feels flat, the show also crafts strong supporting figures, Arthur, Polly, Ada, one of my favorites, Alfie, and others, who arent there just to accompany him, but to give more weight to the Shelby world. And importantly, even though the series clearly stylizes its universe, it rarely loses emotional seriousness, when it hits, it hits hard, thats why, even if you come for the style, you stay for the characters, I also value how it improves with rewatching, the first time it impresses with presence and atmosphere, but the second and third viewings let you savor the details, the glances, silences, small decisions, and narrative seeds planted early on, that adds enormous value, its not a series that exhausts itself after one viewing, but one that gains strength once you know the path and can better appreciate how its built. Rewatching before the film made me feel that Tommy's story truly carried significant accumulated weight, which connects perfectly with the movie functioning as an official continuation of the saga, still, there are moments when the series indulges too much in its own style, sometimes more interested in looking imposing than in being fully natural, some seasons or subplots feel less solid than others, and certain narrative choices rely more on intensity than on clean logic, for me, that doesnt detract much, because the show more than compensates with presence, direction, performances, and that melancholic, threatening tone it almost always maintains, its one of those works where even its excesses become part of its charm, proof that it wasnt just good, it was absolutely memorable.

I think it is a truly great series in almost every respect. In production design, atmosphere, casting, music, camera work, and in the way it turns Birmingham and its streets into a world of its own: dirty, elegant, and deeply dangerous. From the very first episode it has personality, and that is something very few series achieve so clearly.A huge part of its power is, of course, Cillian Murphy. Tommy Shelby is one of those characters who stays with you, and Murphy plays him with a mix of coldness, intelligence, pain, and menace that is hugely impressive. But it would be unfair to reduce the series to him alone, because around him there is a tremendous cast that lifts everything: family, allies, enemies, traitors… there is almost always someone holding the scene with real presence.I also really like the way it mixes crime drama with the portrait of a very specific period. It is not just a story about local gangs, shady business, or power struggles, but also a series about ambition, trauma, class, politics, and survival. All of that keeps it from becoming pure pose, even if the style is sometimes so strong it seems as if it could swallow the **** yet I do not think it is an empty or cold series, as some people say. It can be grandiose, yes, and sometimes too in love with its own iconography, but it has plenty of substance. When it really hits, it hits emotionally, in the family conflicts, and in the way power slowly corrupts almost **** only thing that makes me sad is that there are so few episodes per season and so few seasons overall. It is such a pleasure to watch, but it always leaves you wanting more. Then again, that concentration probably helps it, because it avoids wearing itself out and gives almost every run of episodes real weight.Overall, I think it is a huge series, one of the strongest and most distinctive of recent years. It has style, yes, but also tension, characters, dialogue, and an absolutely monumental lead performance. The kind of series that leaves a mark.

Hay ciertas cosas en las que es muy buena (la ambientación, complejidad de la trama principal, inteligencia de Thomas Shelby en algunos aspectos, y buen vestuario que suelen utilizar los personajes principales), el grave problema es que contiene escenas muy inapropiadas, en exceso fuerte o lenguaje cochino que asquea a cualquiera con decencia o sentido común (para nada la recomendaría, nunca la vean y ojalá la prohiban).

For whatever reason it took a couple of attempts to get into it, but once i started watching it and got through the first few episodes i was hooked. Amazing series. can not wait for the new season to start.

The first two seasons of this show are phenomenal but the latter seasons deserve merit too. Tommy Shelby is one of the best series characters to date and is played with an assured cool and cunning performance by actor Cillian Murphy. The seasons are usually only six episodes long and the supporting characters of Arthur, Polly, Grace, John, Inspector Campbell and many more are superb. I recommend this to anyone who loves some real history and twenties nostalgia all mixed in a family crime story.

série qui rentre très clairement dans mes classiques. la VF comme la VO est impeccable. les dialogues et les moments de négociations dans cette série est plus intéressante que les fights mdr (et j'peux vous dire que j'aime la castagne). Le point fort et le point faible de cette série c'est Tommy Shelby. Il est hyper charismatique, super malin mais c'est aussi son point faible parce qu'honnêtement, les autres personnages sont pas si impressionnant que lui (à part Polly et Alfie). les autres font les malins mais Tommy fini toujours par les contrer mdr (bande de tafioles vous arriverez pas à le niquer).

A good mafia series, it manages to develop a progression in the story, one of the best series. The actors did an excellent job playing their parts, it's just a shame that the series is ending.

Is this a joke, critically acclaimed???? Even in Season 1, the show has no direction, no plot, no nothing. Every episode is a one-off designed for a braindead audience who is enchanted by looking at goofy high fade haircuts with no payout. They try to hide it, but Peaky Blinders is a soap opera Romance TV show. The entire plot of season 1 is marriage, marriage, pregnancy, new lovers, and randomly obsessed older guy jealous that woman 30 years younger than him goes for the house leader Tommy Shelby. ROMANCE TV SHOW. There is no suspense at all. Whenever they build suspense within 10 minutes they remove the suspense by having the immediate plot come to an end. The guy gave a 10 minute speech about how he's 'not the one to mess with' and how influential he is, and within 10 minutes the guy is dead on the floor. Absolutely amateur TV show for nimrod audiences. Tommy Shelby is literally a Mary Sue. He has literally no flaws and thus the show has to rely on gimmicks since the entire show revolves around him. My guess is insecure effeminate men look up to him because the fantasy of being him makes them feel powerful. BORING! End of story- the show ****. I'm at the end of Season 1 and not a single notable character has died. Not ONE!!! This is just a cheap TV soap opera for fat women and short or insecure men to dive into and have a safe space. The show relies entirely on shock situations to make up for a lack of plot. There is literally no character development at all for any characters.

While Peaky Blinder's can be a very enticing show at times it feels like the show is forcing a story along longer than it needs to be. The first 2 seasons of the show are a great introduction to the characters and the world they interact with , but by the final season you know how its going to end, who is going to outsmart who, how and why.

i'm sure the story is good but what is wrong with the F accent i didn't understand a single thing i couldn't even get through the 1st episode LOL

Why in season 3 and 4, do the women get so combative in a useless way. It's hard to watch them doing dumb crap, and having no accountability. Then blaming the nearest Shelby. Poli almost gets Tommy killed after giving away a plan. She ended up being the cause for a bunch of things that happened just because of her opening her idiotic mouth. Yet they still try to make her out to be a matriarch. She as well as the majority of those women are nothing but useless problems in these seasons. They are naive while thinking there smarter then the men they are around. All the while doing and causing dumb **** to happen. It seems like a intersectional feminist was brought in for consulting on how these dumbass women characters should act. It doesn't seem believable. At this point I don't know how many more seasons there are but I don't know if I can take these b**ches getting away with dumb **** for to much longer. Seasons 3 and 4 ruined it at this point. I don't know if I will even Finnish the season or watch anymore at this point.

Really enjoyed this show, while some parts of it throughout got a bit slow, overall it had great acting, interesting stories and plotlines and nicely shot too. Very good show indeed!

It's a very good series, great characters and wonderful photography. However, it left something to be desired in certain seasons, specifically the fifth and sixth, I felt they were a bit at a standstill. But otherwise, it's very good!

Muy buena serie, atrapante, hace querer continuar viendo, buenos dialogos y buena historia.

The world of Peaky Blinders is dark and dirty. It has real grit to it. The main characters are badass, drinking whiskey and smoking all the time. The show gave me lung cancer, but the actors are fantastic. Solid 9/10 for me, haven't finished the last season yet so this rating could change.

Great show, great acting, memorable characters. One of the best series of the last ten years and one of my all time favorites. Absolutely recommended and worth watching. Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy in particular just terrific.

I watched 2 whole seasons hoping to get better but it never **** series hits right, it has good things, but it's very slow, I didn't like the series' grip.I was going to watch season 3 but I lost the will, maybe one day I'll watch it again.

There are few things more cringe than a bunch of posh one percenters pretending to be working class. Cillian Murphy is a poof and has more experience servicing hard men than he does being a hard man in the streets.

The best series I've seen so far, I've seen breaking bad and it's fabulous, but peaky blinders is still the best for me, for the performances, setting, scenery, cast, each actor is tremendously good, the roles are chosen perfectly, without doubt the best series is a gem from start to finish. 100% recommendable.

Lot's of posturing as a grimey, gangland drama, but not much actual gangland drama. Mostly just long diatribes about whatever it means to "be a Shelby". Initially caught in the hype due to the huge production budget, I've watched several seasons and ultimately it's just a big disappointment. Sure there are some great performances (Tom Hardy, Kline) but such mediocre storytelling stifles them most of the time. There also aren't aby characters worth routing for which begs the question of why one would watch the show in the first place. Learn from my mistake and don't waste your time here.

Stellar work by every member of the cast, the unbelievable character of Thomas Shelby and the world that is outplayed is phenomenal. The work of Cillian Murphy is that of Bryan Cranston as Walter White and Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad. Extraordinary work by Steven Knight keeps you guessing for the right answers and consistently manages to further the range of the story to brilliant levels.

Well, that's a hell of a hit with me. I love mafia, gangster or just crime themes as such and thus it's no wonder I fell in love with the Peaky Blinders series. The setting of the time, the style of the characters' clothes, the cars and the setting. All of that made the series incredibly appealing to me. But it's not the only thing it excels at so much. The main characters of the gang are, in my opinion, absolutely brilliant and mostly Tommy and Arthur are perhaps the most distinctive and for me were the most interesting. Cillian Murphy does an excellent job here for me and would deserve an Oscar for his role in this series. All of this is enhanced by the excellent script and camera work, where I was more than once impressed by the quality of various scenes. For me, an amazing series that I recommend.

So this is a series which is completely in my favor. I loved the characters around the Shelby family, the atmosphere and all around Birmingham. Very well written, extraordinary acting at the highest level and an all in all very good looking series. Unfortunately season 5, which was okay, didn't hold up to the high expectations from the previous seasons, it felt a bit rushed and not as intense as before. But the last episode got that a little bit better and brings up to a interesting setting for the last season 6 (maybe you can rate season 5 better as soon as we can watch season 6). Thumbs Up for this truly shining series.

This might be my favorite show on Netflix. I have watched it since season one and have never stopped. I really enjoy the characters and how the story unfolds.

For me, this is a 10/10 show. Environment - amazing, characters - great, music - perfect. And Thomas Shelby has this uniqueness from others, almost like Ragnar Lothbrok - a smart leader with clear ideas and massive success, or in other words - a badass.

Peaky Blinders is not only one of the most underrated TV shows of all-time but it's also one of the greatest shows of all-time! It's even better than all the hype and love it gets as more and more people are watching it and loving it! It's quickly becoming one of the better shows ever created! If you want to see how loved this show really is all you have to do is read through the reviews or look at the ratings. Every season is just as great as the others! Do yourself a favor & go watch this series immediately!

Iconic,Mind-blowing and Awesome **** production design the period pieces,the visuals and music with soundtrack it was Pure Art through out the series,the environment around it was stunningly amazing.Every character was iconic and great as hell the Shelby family,Alfie,Mr Gold and other antagonists and politicians everyone's acting performance was Legendary,the whole series was politically,psychologically and dramatically brilliant,the after-math effects of war in A person was amazingly showcased,the revolutions and the Commies bashing was clever,Every conversation in series is pure Class and iconic,The Tommy Plans and way of dealing in every situation is awesome He's attitude and Leadership was brilliant,the dialogues and punchlines were iconic specially the "By order of the Peaky F#$@$ blinders" one it was awesome,the starting episode is enough to generate interest in series it was iconic the intro and **** starting season's were more focused on the communists and gang wars,the 4th season and the best season it was full of revenge it was pure shocking and insane season with unexpected situations,the last season was more of a psychological thriller with politics the family conflicts and drama and everyone getting pure insane it was amazing season and only season till now ended with nail-bitingly,jaw-dropping Cliff-Hanger,the only Con in this series is that the starting episode's in starting season's whole intro and start to the drama plot was too fast and confusing although after 2-3 episodes the whole plot was understandable but it was late.every last episode in series is another level awesome it will always end with certain mind-blowing clever plans and surprising **** actions and gun fights in whole series is brutal and great,the slow-mo entries with the Swag and awesome costumes it was iconic and **** intro was uniquely amazing with red right hand music,the whole series is Dark,intense,visually stunning,entertaining and mind-blowing,eagerly waiting for next season after such mind-blowing cliff-hanger,whole series is a Iconic Masterpiece!

Its a vey good series. Its a drama that content violence, sex and drugs all of these because is based on a urban street gang in Birmingham, England, from the end of the 19th century and after the First World War. The series capture perfectly the time that they want to represent. The actors are very good and they play clearly the characters on the movie and produce an emotionalconnection with the audience but not only with the paly, also with the history of each character
