It might have worked better if they dropped two episodes a week—like a K-drama. I may not be texting “you must watch” alerts to my friends, but I enjoyed this.

When you reach Ep 4, something deeper emerges from the thrills and the winkingly self-aware humor. The loneliness of being a vampire and the centuries of shameful secrets begin to burn brightly. That’s when this re-envisioned series really starts to cook. .... The Vampire Lestat” outdoes season 2.

It’s a highly enjoyable romance from front to back that’ll leave you wishing, hoping, and anticipating which couple you’ll spend the sophomore season with. Until then, this series will get plenty of replays.

If you’re looking for a darkly violent Florida revenge saga with its vices and its sensationalism right up front, and a cliffhanger to close it out, give it a try. All I’ll say is, no more for me.

At the end of Episode 8, my one-word review would have been “Tedious.” Here’s the surprise: “The Miniature Wife” didn’t leave me cold. The characters take us through an array of emotions. Mostly I wanted them to implode—demonstratively—but that’s NOT nothing. .... Episode 9 is a Hail Mary that pulls you back in for a somewhat satisfying final Episode 10.

There is nothing wrong with “Imperfect Women,” but that is neither praise nor criticism. It’s just fine.

The zany, farcical, HOT MESS of the first seven episodes culminates in a satisfying eighth—that’s cheeky and ultimately about reclaiming power. Not everyone will make it past the first seven, though. If you do, a wink and an arched brow will be waiting for you.

With its cold case leanings and mystery antics, “The ‘Burbs” feels like an alternate universe live-action “Scooby Doo,” and just like your weird suburban neighbors, that’s oddly satisfying to watch.

Best of all, the yearning romance fans crave is here, too. And suddenly I’m rooting for Sophie and Benedict’s happily ever after. We know we’ll get one, but it’s the getting there that makes this season of “Bridgerton” fun again.

“Hijack” is an intensely watchable series that keeps your attention and anxiety up. It may not be as iconic as “Die Hard,” but it understands the thrill of the chase and has enough momentum to punch our ticket for Season 3.
