“Haunted Hotel” is freaky but heartwarming, grounding its fantastical stories in real-world issues and relationships. The sibling dynamic between Kathy and Nathan, in particular, will be familiar to anyone who yearns for a second chance with a loved one lost.

With Titmouse’s animation studio creating a nice balance between grotesque and goofy for its monsters that are genuinely creepy and absurdly funny, Haunted Hotel is the kind of series that sneaks up on you.

Haunted Hotel could be funnier, but it’s got fun characters and the capacity to create an infinite number of funny ghosts and monsters to occupy the hotel’s many rooms.

Despite a solid cast and some decent jokes, the series rarely rises above the level of pleasantly unobjectionable, much less distinctly memorable.

Haunted Hotel has a serviceable story, strong animation, and decent characters, but lacks that extra zest to elevate beyond low-key holiday entertainment.

Possibly a pilot episode was made and deemed to be too Ghosts-influenced because, once episode one has given us the setup, Haunted Hotel widens out to become a vehicle for various spoofs and homages. .... Haunted Hotel isn’t trying hard enough.

This was a really good show, the characters, designs, voice actors, and the story of a "Haunted Hotel filled with different ghost and monsters." Personally my favorite character is Abbadon, I love his demon / childish side, I love his backstory, voice actor and even his character design. The story telling is definitely a 10/10. This definitely deserves a season 2 and even more.

Netflix’s Haunted Hotel is surprisingly funny and entertaining, with a storyline that keeps you hooked from start to finish. It balances humor with a spooky vibe, making it a refreshing watch for fans of light horror. Definitely worth checking out, and I honestly can’t wait to see if they’re planning a Season 2!

(ENG) I found it to be a solid and entertaining animated series, with a concept that blends supernatural mystery with a touch of dark humor that sets it apart. I liked how it manages to maintain an unsettling atmosphere without losing the lightness typical of animation. Each episode has the feel of a strange little tale that draws you in, and the character and setting designs effectively reinforce the sense of being in a hotel where the paranormal is part of the daily routine. I also appreciate that the episodes don’t feel repetitive-each one brings something new, whether it’s a peculiar ghost, an absurd situation, or an unexpected twist. The animation more than delivers, with a style that, while not highly detailed, fits the tone of the series perfectly. That said, it’s not flawless. At times, the pacing becomes uneven, with weaker episodes that don’t have the same impact as the stronger ones. Some secondary characters are underdeveloped, serving more as gags than contributing meaningful narrative weight. Still, it works-it’s fun, different, and knows how to keep your attention with a mix of oddity and charm. It’s a recommended watch for those who enjoy animation with supernatural elements and eccentric humor. While not a masterpiece, it’s distinctive and engaging enough to stand out within its genre.
