Inventive and frequently hilarious. ... Future Man has a firm grasp of what it is and where it’s going. Coupe and Wilson excel as goal-fixated warriors from the future without any social graces while Hutcherson shines as a nebbish who both talks them down and strives to keep his own heart from beating off the charts.

The farce, like the puns, the gross-out humor, and the pop culture jokes, can be excessive, especially over 13 episodes. But the charm of the cast, including Ed Begley Jr., Keith David, Haley Joel Osment, Martin Starr, and the late Glenne Headly, makes it all easy to watch.

How do give a show a rating of 30. Plot twist after plot twist the show gets better and better. I love it the shocking ending and huge cliff hanger for next season make a great climax. But the show also makes us emotionally attached to the characters. Overall I would give this show a 30 if I could.

I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. This show was completely unexpected and beyond hilarious. The characters were amazing, Wolf being my absolute favorite. I hope they continue this show as I cannot wait to pee my pants laughing again

It’s a dumb, profane and predictable show that works because it never once aims for greatness. Everyone here just wants the viewer to enjoy the ride.

With that many hours to fill [13], and that much talent behind and in front of the camera, the show might have chosen to make a broader statement on video game culture. As is, the show is like a fun game you can immerse yourself in, but not one that goes to the next level.

Future Man is proudly puerile and in the early episodes, the lack of necessary grounding elements often make the broad jokes play as grating. Hutcherson, once treated by Hollywood as a heartthrob during the Hunger Games franchise, isn't an instantly successful choice for an Everyman lead and the push to judge Josh as pathetic reads as disingenuous and unsympathetic. As episodes progress, Hutcherson gets more comfortable and the character's lack of direction is better spelled out and the show improves around him.

The pilot for “Future Man,” available Tuesday, takes a little too long to get to the show’s premise — viewers offended by the profane be advised: there are a lot of f-bombs — but “Future Man” is funny enough in its meta commentary on media culture that it’s sure to appeal to the young male audience it targets.

I really dislike Hulu for all sorts of good reasons, but was convinced to take on a trial membership for this show. The writing and the acting are really unbelievably good. It's funny in a bro sort of way, but maintains a really good balance between wit, outrageousness and nostalgia. Ended up binging through the series in one night, which I've not done in years.

This relaxing Sci-Fi comedy is better than anticipated. In my opinion this is a barely average TV serial, and does nothing remarkable. The writing was OK, the effect where OK, and the humor was OK as well, the only thing that excelled was the actors performances in some instances. Considering that this was a Comedy first and Sci-fiction after, the humor is pretty much hit or miss. Some times it feels right on spot and it's funny and some times it's just cringe. What I definitely liked about the characters that you can genuinely see them develop over the episodes, and plot itself has a few twists and turns which is welcomed with warmth. Overall, it was decent series, worth checking out if you have a lot of time on your hand (pun intended), also take in to consideration that it takes 2-3 episodes for the story to really take on and to empathize, with the characters which in my opinion is a LOT.

Humor like the one in the "American Pie" movieS - not my kind (anymore; I've to admit that in the age of 16 I found that funny). Plot not very innovative. I only watched the first two episodes.

Enough with the cartoons. I'm ready for some TV for grownups. How do "**** jokes and projectile vomiting" get a rating of 91 from a person whose job is reviewing movies? Maybe the children's movies should be reviewed by children so the professional reviewers don't get confused. Please, more grownup fare.

The pilot's okay, the rest you may like if you are under the age of 15. Great idea horribly executed. Very low brow humor, the story goes nowhere, and there's next to no character development. Cartoons have more entertainment value.
