Rarely is a TV show simultaneously as blistering funny as it is delicately devastating but Feel Good – sublimely – is both.

Its second season, also just six episodes, is just as richly textured and even more ambitious in its storytelling. Martin’s comedic voice is original and sharp, and the show unflinchingly embraces discomfort and mess.

This is a brave, funny show and I'm so glad that Netflix took it on from Channel 4 for season 2 in order to complete the story. Mae Martin is a revalation and Charlotte Richie yet again proves what a superb actor she is-I hope we see her in many more tv shows and films.

This is a great show that deals with relationships and addiction in a complicated yet honest way.

Feel Good manages to do all this intricate story work about gender, sexuality, addiction, and relationships while establishing a clear comedic voice right from the start. ... It doesn’t always feel good to watch it, but that’s part of Feel Good’s magic. It tells a story full of discomfort and insecurity with self-assuredness, empathy, and charm.

The new episodes of “Feel Good” are on a par with the old ones — textured, funny, a bit dramatic, and fitted with a clear theme: trauma and recovery from it.

If you’re in the mood for a show that prioritizes realistic humor and heart over static connect-the-dots storytelling, you’ll enjoy the subtle charms and overwhelming sincerity of Feel Good.

Although this opener had plenty of charm, it wasn’t quite funny enough. There were decent lines about Guernsey, eggs (“I call them the devil’s orbs”) and penetrating somebody’s inner sanctum (you can imagine the rest), but the gaps between gags were simply too long.

With everything and its entanglements, the series remains at the level of the first season.
