The Crazy Ex-Girlfriend premiere also was full of surprises, taking oddball twists and turns with, not only Rebecca, but the supporting characters as well. All in all, an impressive prime-time debut for Bloom as star, co-creator and executive producer of the slyly crafted show. That's the good news. The great news is that, from what the CW has revealed of future episodes, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend appears to be staying on the wild and unpredictable track.

LOVE this show so much. Sad to see it end - this past season was tremendous and character building.

It is a wonderful comedy that makes you connect and relate to all the characters in natural way. You feel for them and you want to understand them, also why they are doing what they are doing. They let you know that nobody is perfect. I feel like I can learn a lot through this show and it makes me wanna be a better person.

Establishing that she is a competent professional helps ground the comic surrealism in reality and make Crazy Ex-Girlfriend one of the most promising shows of the season.

[The] fall’s most unusual series concept and easily the new season’s most promising pilot.

The good news: the songs remain both sharp and diverse in style, including riffs on Bollywood and boy bands to go with the more showtune-y numbers. And the show's starting to sketch in the supporting characters.

Beyond its off-putting title, this is the freshest, wackiest romantic comedy/musical fantasy hybrid of this or any recent season.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has the sort of kooky, off-kilter, off-the-wall energy of such true TV originals as Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone. The musical productions are wonderfully surreal, if slightly grotesque. But the songs themselves are merely adequate. And judging from the pilot alone--the only episode the CW made available--the characterizations are shallow and the humor far too broad. Bloom is impressive as the title character, Rebecca Bunch.

One of the most entertaining shows i have ever seen. The rap song in episode 13; That in its self says it all. That took some serious work to get down, lyrics were amazing and impressive.... The talents, the hidden innuendos with this story line is amazing. I love this show so much. Acting is top notch. I could go on and on about how excellent this show is ...

It's a quite funny show, i just don't enjoy the premise of it... the idea of someone being that obsessed with someone because of a summer fling for me isn't very funny, just really sad, the songs are probably the most creative part of the show

I love the musical break-outs and the cast is good but... It's terrifyingly realistic. I honestly feel uncomfortable seeing "chick neurosis" in my face for an hour at a time. I quit my Facebook and Twitter accounts because of stalker-exes. I only use my game-name and profile picture everywhere nowadays and Oinker's Facebook account has no friends. I have a feeling this show is going to be a re-run of my life, only I'm not the lead... I'm the poor **** being stalked. I soldiered through the pilot but I'm done with this show.

I've watch all 8 episodes to date. They're all painfully unfunny. The characters may seem realistic, but in reality they are so stereotypical. Rebecca is annoying, and so is her new bff. The bartender is judgemental. Rebecca's neighbor is this smart but dumb type of person who is seemingly witty and constantly looks at her smartphone. And that Josh guy... I don't know why two attractive and smart women would fight over him. I can't wrap my head around the fact that critics rave so much about it. The show brings nothing new to the table.

Rachel Bloom is very talented and I usually like quirky, but celebrating shallow self-absorption is just not to my taste. Perhaps it will get better (I only watched the pilot), but I don't have the stomach to try another episode.
