A thoroughly, sometimes gaggingly broad and sly conceptual laugh-in.

I really don't understand the low rating because I absolutely loved this movie. I've watched it several times and could keep on watching it again and again. I wasn't a Jack Black fan before seeing this, but now I'm more interested in seeing his movies.

This movie was amazing!!! Such a hilarious piece of comedy. It really made my day the day i saw it. Micheal Cera and Jack Black were the perfect comedy duo on this one.

Lacks seismic guffaws but elicits many mild smiles.

Its script isn't worth the papyrus it's inscribed on.

A lowbrow, only fitfully amusing comedy.

The only people who should be peeved enough to raise hell about Year One are the viewers who had to pay to sit through it.

Unbearably painful from shrugging start to outtakes-laden finish, Harold Ramis’ half-assed, hare-brained return to writing and directing makes Mel Brooks’ equally muddled, soporific "History of the World, Part 1" look downright majestic by comparison.

The more I watch it the more I like it. It is not a serious movie and should not be perceived as one. I consider it a kind **** student scenario where every actor had a good time and fun playing in it. I love watching and listening to the dialogs.

It's a harold ramis movie set in 1 AD. The duo of Jack Black and Michael Cera are a very harmonious duo. Black's hyperactive acting and Cera's passive-aggressive behavior are quite funny. There are many religious references and they are very funny. It's a movie that makes you watch it without getting bored. But of course, it doesn't have a very high quality script and is easily forgotten. Apart from these, you won't lose anything by watching it.6.5/10

A harmless comedy lead by two likable leads that make it fun enough to watch.

In " Year One " truly this very forgotten , as those two characters not estabanen Bible and believed that the script and reality is changed, rather horrible a movie , in terms of plot, script and acting of the cast.

A very mis-matched movie, it mixes humor seen in bad cartoons with adult sex references. The movie has some great actors in tow but none really do anything laugh-worthy. The movie goes nowhere for a large portion and makes no good use of the actors comedic talents. I watched it all the way through but took away nothing but the fact the movie was below average at best.
