Underworld: Awakening

The entire production is single-mindedly, earnestly devoted to serving up feats of BADASS, and it succeeds in this devotion to the exclusion of everything else. Allegedly in 3-D, though I didn't notice at the time.

Why are they fighting again? Never you mind. Just sit tight till the next action sequence (it won't be long), and get ready to laugh - with equal parts scorn and fanboy joy - as Beckinsale strikes another Rodinesque pose under a slo-mo shower of inhuman innards.

A brisk creature-feature that ditches the series' dreary mythology in favor of a more direct, action-oriented approach.

Anyway, "Children of Men" this ain't, though the inert directing of Len Wiseman (who helmed the first two films and has a producer credit here) has thankfully been replaced by Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein, who seem to have a lot more verve and even some visual whimsy.

Kate Beckinsale can still fill out a skin-tight leather bodysuit, but with Awakening, the vampires-vs-werewolves Underworld franchise has finally decayed beyond the point of repair.

Also missing: the series' reliable camp heavies, Bill Nighy and Michael Sheen, and most of the so-called Lycans who, their appearance in a few respectable action sequences notwithstanding, are now nearly extinct. So is this franchise.

Latest, dreadful entry in the vampires-battling-werewolves franchise.

After i watched the fourth movie today, i noticed that i love this series so much that i can say this is one of the best movie series ever created. Not any worse than any of those masterpieces that are Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park. I believe that Underworld will never cease to be exciting, amazing and fabolous. Vampyre-Lycan conflict has always been a popular plot for lots of movies in cinema history but this one made a difference with all these distinct characters: Selena, Marcus, Viktor, William. Characters are great, story are great, action and horror and mythology are all displayed so good. The only thing lacks is the music selection. Makes me feel like i watched a bad ending romantic drama during that credits rollout. But that is not enough to make me drop the point for this movie lower than 10. I would love to see some sequels; 5, 6...

It is ok movie but not as good as those before. Plotline could be better, and actor performance was not on the same level as before.

Hey it's not that bad, lot of action, blood, guns + a strong story behind this movie

I really enjoyed the first couple movies of this series, but after this one, they should maybe consider stopping it. Why? Well, it felt like there was no scenario anymore, just some lines a kid wrote to justify the actors talking. Action was boring and reminded me of some mediocre PC action games : Lycan vs. vampire, play again and again... until big boss round.... Game over !!

**** i have to say is that this movie pretty much **** 1 story isn't that good it isn't even good..2 special effects and action scenes were lame and **** i can't believe it scored a 7 on IMDB.. :O
