The latest Blumhouse movie about creepy kids is a fitting addition to one of horror’s most reliable subgenres, and it manages to elevate itself above the competition through some genuinely compelling adult drama and a delightful Duffer Brothers-esque supernatural twist. And it’s infinitely more enjoyable than any direct-to-streaming January horror movie has any right to be.

Anybody could direct this kind of story, and many already have. But There’s Something Wrong with the Children is right in Benjamin’s wheelhouse, and her skill with this familiar set-up is a major boon.

I enjoyed this. It'snot going to blow you away with anything completely new or amazing but if you enjoyed such films as 'Evil Dead' or 'Cabin Fever' you will enjoy this one. The kids in it do a good job of being suitably Creepy and the adults bring enough humour and conflict to make it an enjoyable 90 or so minutes even if there are not many actual scares.

There's Something Wrong With The Children is an energetic but expected kiddies-gone-killer tale that wades into some murky waters.

If you're looking for a creepy children horror film to watch, "There's Something Wrong with the Children" will deliver that in half-measures. But there are enough bloody thrills and dramatic tension at play here to make it a fun romp for a Friday night and bowl of popcorn.

There's Something Wrong With the Children is fine as it is for a casual watch, but it’s painful to watch such a talented cast trying to salvage a bland horror film that had so much potential to be unforgettable.

There's not much wrong with this film on paper—there's just something wrong with the execution.

There’s something wrong with the children, all right. The filmmakers can’t figure out what to do with them.

Horror movie released in 2023. Although I didn't have any expectations from the movie, I think it was pretty good as a horror movie. I recommend that you do not rely on the low rating. The tension that builds up gradually in the movie is very nice. To give information on the subject, there are two couples. One of them has 2 children. Together they come to the camp house in the woods. Houses are separate. While hiking together in the woods, they see an old building. When they enter it, there is a large pit with no end in it. There's something going on with the kids here. Their behavior is getting weird. Until a certain point in the movie, there is an uncertainty as to whether there is something strange in the children or the man they haunt. I liked the acting and the thriller and horror elements in the movie. I was pleased that it met my expectations while watching hopelessly. The music playing at the end of the movie is amazing. Music, Inferno Rebels by Fotocrime. There is no sex or nudity in the movie. There are occasional sexual conversations.

Ok, but very formulaic and uninspired. Trope of the isolated location and the one sheriff/person that can help shows up and dies in under a minute.

Trailer made it seem it had potential, but it was a overly drawn out disappointment.
The tension that they try create, is overshadowed by predictability and/or stupidity of the characters. The music did not pace well.
Acting was terrible and generic.

Ever see a movie preview and say to youself: " That movie looks awesome" then go see it and it's total crapola. THIS IS THAT MOVIE. generic acting prevalent through out film. Script dialog and actor chemistry also generic. A 92 minute movie with 43 minutes of useless nonsense. Sound, music, editing and camera shots all pretty good. The rest I've seen before in every B horror movie ever made. Should have waited til it was free to watch it
