Though it's made with lots of modern tricks and technology, it's old-fashioned in the best sense, and not just because it's set in the Sixties.

It has taken Warner Brothers ten years to get this property a new life and, thankfully, the results in no way resemble those of its Cold War TV compatriot. Or, to put it another way, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015) is good fun, which "The Avengers" (1998) wasn't.

One of my favorite movies. I still do not understand why the feedback on this is so mixed. It is a fun and enjoyable film! I really thought it was going to do well enough for a sequel but alas, that is not likely to happen :(

Very clever, funny, feel-good, action movie with great chemistry between all three major characters. I want a sequel.

A lot of energy and effort has gone into this endeavor, and I can't say some of it's not fun. But more of it, alas, is just tedious. Say uncle already.

Cavill and Hammer are made for each other, but the film can’t always find the pyrotechnics to match their chemistry.

While Mission: Impossible has found a popular way to reimagine an old show for modern times, Man is immersed in all things retro — from the ginchy fashion to a jazzy score — but for an action adventure, it’s a mostly tedious affair with fleeting moments of cool.

The early-’60s styles are chic, the Euro locales are swank, and the music cues (including a nod to Ennio Morricone’s Once Upon a Time in the West score) are fantastic. Too bad the plot and the lead performances are so lifeless.

It’s slow, lethargic, utterly lacking in charm and undeserving of the Cold War setting that is its best trait.

This movies was SOO much better and funner than I ever hoped it could be. Armie Hammer completely transforms himself to the point that I'm beginning to think he is actually ;-) Russian and the internet is wrong. And Henry Cavil... - My God - he is SOOO fun and mesmerizing to watch that I genuinely want him to be James Bond more than anyone else IN THE WORLD. This is a GREAT movie that I guarantee you will love from start to finish. Bravo and well done to everyone who participated in the making of "The Man from U.N.C.L.E."!

Excellent cast elevate the average script. Ritchie shows a great sense of style and cinematography is great with some nice lighting in key scenes. Ultimately the play-it-safe inconsequential plot serves to honour the feeling of the tv original but feels like the producers wanted to take more risks with the characters and make something more realistic but switched to something more mainstream at the last minute. Overall very entertaining yet shallow.

The movie was okay, but not good or great. Interesting plot twists, and that's about all I can recommend. A cut below James Bond movies, maybe on the level of "I Spy."

Disappointingly formulaic, highly predictable and lacks Ritchie's usual panache. Its too long and the cast is surprisingly off, blame the script, not the actors. There were a couple of enjoyable scenes, but 3 days later I can't remember a single one. Couldn't recommend this to anyone

A pretty terrible movie. Guy Ritchie is a fine director and the 60's atmosphere was done well, but the story was awful and we've seen it all before. I loved the TV series when I was a kid and this completely fails to capture the spirit and fun of the show. Get some original ideas, Hollywood!
