Boring. The 1st movie was cartoonishly hilarious and biting. The Devil Wears Prada Two has Ann Hathaway more beautiful and annoyingly neurotic. Meryl Streep tries to hard to speak subdued that it looks like a bad toothache. Takes itself too seriously. And, in what r world do the men take being treated so badly but come back for more?

Pudo ser un desastre, pero no: es entretenida y agradable de ver. Mantiene la esencia de la original, con momentos memorables y el nostálgico reencuentro, aunque se siente más descafeinada, menos mordaz e icónica, con un humor más tonto y actual.

It arrives with the delicate task of justifying its own existence after two decades—and, surprisingly, it succeeds. Instead of relying solely on nostalgia, the film attempts to update its perspective, bringing up discussions about journalism, technology, and new trends in fashion, all wrapped in a more mature **** the same time, it knows exactly when to return to the comfort of what already worked. The reunion with the cast is where everything comes to life, with a chemistry that carries much of the film even when the script decides to embrace more ideas than it can **** that’s the point: the more it tries to grow, the more it gets lost in layers that don’t always move the story forward. Still, it’s hard not to get swept up in it. In the end, it works as a sequel that understands its time and knows that style and presence still count for a lot.

Just another sequel without a soul that lives on from the grace of the previous one. Again, Meryl Streep steals the spotlight with her performance, but Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt have a lot to do with what they do. Worst of all, it is false that criticism of excessive capitalism and unfair corporate practices is felt. A superficial and boring film whose cynicism is not graceful. Could've easily been released on Disney+.

Think the Netflix version of the original. Ironic due to the first one hammering the point about knockoffs.

Entertaining sequel to the surprise hit brings you more of the same, with great casts and locale. But it's thunder has been taken by so many series such as 'Emily in Paris', 'Sex and the City' and the like that its potency was a bit lost. Nevertheless, its beloved cast buoyed this flick and made it enjoyable.

While the film's opening leans a bit too heavily on nostalgia and strays into streaming movie territory, once it finds its stride, it feels as if twenty years haven't passed at all—like catching up with old friends on a stylish new adventure.

The devil wrote a script. The business practices are archaic. The business language is dated. The script seemed to have been written in 2016. Meryl Streep always does comedy very well but her character has lost her edge. Stanley Tucci is good but the casting of the other male characters is poor. Still, a lite movie and a bit of fun.

The funnest sequel of 2026. "The Devil Wears Prada 2" seems to be in a situation where a sequel is better than the predecessor & look at the Rotten Tomatoes score - 2% higher. What makes a sequel like this so good? Have a more different storyline, especially from what I saw in the trailer. Keeping the characters consistent & quirky, which was what "Ralph Breaks the Internet" failed to do. Also, it is a story of mystery & problem solving having plot twists within, no wonder "Murder, She Boat" has been my favourite Simpsons episode & there is a Simpsons reference in the movie! Pretty much like it's predecessor, it is engaging through iconic lines & adventure. I loved the characterizations is this. Benji had an amount of potential, as an antagonist. Next, we have more depth in character - Miranda has turned into a more softer person & Emily is sympathetic in the end, given a job. I do not want to focus on the plot this time in a review. Have fun & catch Lady Gaga!

When 20 years pass between a movie and its sequel, a lot of disappointment can result when the follow-up is at last released. Derivative, underdeveloped story threads and an overreliance on nostalgic strolls down memory lane often abound, leaving viewers suitably underwhelmed, especially loyal fans of the source material. However, every so often, audiences are the lucky beneficiaries of pleasant surprises, movies that live up to their billing and come close to matching the magic of their predecessors. Such is the case with director David Frankel’s long-awaited answer to the iconic 2006 comedy “The Devil Wears Prada,” a delightful blend of the elements that made the original such a success, skillfully mixed with enough new material to create a work all its own. This latest offering follows what happens when the iconic Runway fashion magazine, led by longtime editor/diva in residence Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), finds itself in hot water for unwittingly publishing an offensive article in praise of a clothing manufacturer that’s essentially an exploitative sweat shop, placing the publication’s and editor’s future in jeopardy. To effect damage control, Runway quickly hires award-winning journalist Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) to come on board as the magazine’s new features editor. Andy’s hiring proves propitious for her, having just been unexpectedly laid off from her job (despite her recent accolades), and for Runway, given her familiarity with the magazine, having once worked there, ironically, as Miranda’s often-put-upon assistant. Having now been thrown together under these trying circumstances, the confrontational duo struggles to make things work out, an ordeal that eventually culminates in a battle in which multiple parties vie for ownership of the publication. Joining the fray in this rollercoaster scenario are Miranda’s trusty righthand man, Nigel Kipling (Stanley Tucci), Andy’s onetime condescending rival, Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), and an array of Runway assistants, staffers and interns, along with a host of friends, foes, competitors and celebrity cameos including appearances by the likes of Lady Gaga, Lucy Liu and Kenneth Branagh. The narrative generally flows smoothly, if a bit episodic and compartmentalized at times, with more than its fair share of laughs, vibrant fashion montages, gorgeously shot location settings in New York and Milan, and a frank, bitingly honest appraisal of how the publishing business has “changed” (i.e., declined) in the two decades since the original film. “The Devil Wears Prada 2” likely won’t go down in the annals of filmmaking as an enduring piece of cinema, but it certainly makes the grade as a capable, entertaining sequel that isn’t the kind of letdown that so many of its celluloid peers often are. Indeed, as Miranda would likely sum it up, “That’s all.…”

It's hard to make a sequel to an iconic movie. I think they did a terrific job! Great acting, storyline, and had all the ingredients to make a great movie.

A perfect squeal that reflects the modern era of media, especially fashion. The essence of the film remains sharp, high-fashion and glamorous, but Miranda become more softer. Groundbreaking. I hope the pace of film can be a bit more chiller, I need more details of each transition.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is almost as good as its iconic predecessor. The characters are still amazing, especially Miranda, whose lines are still perfectly written. The story is fresh and pretty good, but I think it inevitably causes that thematically this film isn't completely in sync with the first one. Basically, I think it glorifies or at least whitewashes the fashion industry. On the other hand, there's an unexpected message about change and AI that I didn't expect. The directing is good and the cinematography is okay except for the Milan montage sequence, which was great and perfectly in sync with the editing. The overall pacing is good too, while the vfx was okay. The production design is good, but the costume design is the one department really outstanding. The soundtrack is pretty good, but the original had a better one in my opinion. The cast is amazing and the performances are perfectly fitting. The Devil Wears Prada 2 is a worthy sequel.

A fun legacy sequel that, like most legacy sequels, isn't as good as the original but manages to be a fun time for anyone who loved the original back in the day. And unlike most legacy sequels, it's given a good enough reason to exist by the transition from print to digital media. Miranda is now a softer character than the one we remember, because now she's suffering from an existential crisis due to the fall in advertising revenue and the move to online "content". The first 30-40 minutes had me worrying that this was going to be an exercise in member berries and fan service, as there are a good few scenes that are shamelessly copied and pasted from the original, particularly key scenes with Andy and Nigel. And while the original movie had a lot of depth to it, this one is really just pure fluff. That said, it's very entertaining fluff, and I loved how this sequel chose to tie up loose ends and make amends for the way characters like Miranda and Emily behaved in the first film - I'm not ashamed to say it did make me weep a little a couple of times. This is one of those legacy sequels that could've been a pointless disaster, but while it's absolutely nothing groundbreaking, it's turned out to be good fun.

A disaster. It has nothing that the first one had. It’s like going back to a college reunion and seeing how everyone is still talking about what happened years ago. There’s no interesting dialogue, no reflection on work—there’s nothing. The supporting characters don’t have any personality either; they’re just there to fill quotas. And the saddest part is that all of them depend on a man to feel complete and be happy. All three of them.

Lost the Miranda toughness. Too many plotlines/characters, some that weren't interesting. I wanted it to be better. Wait for cable release.

The Devil Wears Prada 2: A Stylish Sequel That Struggles to Go Beyond NostalgiaThe Devil Wears Prada 2 returns to the world of high fashion after many years, bringing back one of its most iconic characters, Miranda Priestly. While the film arrives with high expectations, it ultimately feels like a sequel that meets those expectations—but rarely exceeds **** original The Devil Wears Prada stood out not only for its glamorous setting but also for its sharp exploration of career ambition, identity, and personal values. The sequel attempts to update this framework by incorporating today’s digital media landscape. However, themes such as influencer culture, the decline of traditional publishing, and shifting workplace dynamics remain largely underdeveloped, serving more as background elements than fully realized **** performances are undoubtedly the film’s strongest asset. Meryl Streep once again delivers a compelling portrayal of Miranda, this time with subtle hints of vulnerability beneath her icy authority. Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci bring charm and energy to the screen. Still, even these strong performances cannot fully compensate for the screenplay’s **** of the film’s central issues is its very reason for existing. As the story unfolds, the audience is left wondering: was this sequel truly necessary? While the sense of nostalgia is effectively crafted, it often overshadows the narrative itself. The fashion sequences, witty dialogue, and familiar references are enjoyable, but the film rarely feels innovative. Moreover, the movie seems too comfortable within the very capitalist fashion and media world it tries to critique. The heavy use of brand imagery and visual glamour weakens its critical perspective, at times making the film feel contradictory in its **** the end, The Devil Wears Prada 2 offers a polished and entertaining return for fans. However, it falls short of capturing the originality and depth that made the first film a cultural landmark. Stylish and enjoyable, yes—but ultimately cautious when it comes to leaving a lasting impact.

First half was ok. Second half was all over the place. They nerfed Miranda. Why? It is a one time movie, unlike the original.
