Unbelievably talented cast! Everyone set a standard and then topped it. My favorites: John Leguizamo and Anne Hathaway. Only an 8 because it's long but don't know what I'd cut! Awesome score

Took a bit of time to follow what was going on at first. But once you get into the flow of this thoughtful tale, you're clearly hooked into a story with Speilburg's magic all over it. Feels a good deal like Close Encounters of a Third Kind, but very timely for today. Cast is superb. And don't leave the theater until all the credits are run, and allow yourself to get lost in another John Williams masterpiece score.

Lost the Miranda toughness. Too many plotlines/characters, some that weren't interesting. I wanted it to be better. Wait for cable release.

Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 18

I for one enjoyed this first Chapter very much and look forward to seeing how the stories develop. It is action packed, and the scenery is stunning yet often gritty. Paints a picture of the desperate path of the early settlers in an unvarnished manner. And no one directs a period western like Costner! Flashes of cinematic grandeur bring to mind Dances With Wolves. Casting is spot on, in my estimation, and I look forward to Chapter 2 to see how the various story lines develop. Negatives? Plot lines take some time to develop, so it starts slow and takes 3 hours to complete. Found myself looking at my watch halfway through, but very glad that I stuck with it! Secondly, the diction and Olde West accents were hard to understand at times.

Two hours that I'll never get back. Formula you can see a mile away. Pratfalls and attempt at physical comedy get tedious. Waste of Daniel Radcliff's talent. No suspense. One surprise that I won't share.

I waited with anticipation to see this sequel. I for one enjoyed it. While it does not have the charm of the first, it is worth seeing if you want a light comedy, with timeless messages.

I felt the picture was darker and more somber than I had anticipated. Eastwood is a master at period accuracy, and this movie showed his attention to detail. But the drama kept the movie moving at a slower pace, and the music scenes didn't pop.

What a well-done, well-cast picture. Not about baseball per se but about the underside that we don't get to see. Brad Pitt was perfect in and for the role of Billy. Philip Seymour Hoffman again shows us why he the consummate actor. One distraction. I could not stop looking at a maturing Brad Pitt and seeing a younger Robert Redford. WOW. Facial expressions, cragginess at the eyes, mannerisms, They need to do a picture as father-son.

Enjoyed this remake....most aren't nearly as good as the original, and this one is no exception. But having said that, the cinematography was super (New York never looked so good) and the cast was superb. The story line was a bit of a letdown, but still an engaging movie.

This film was painful to watch in every aspect. First movie I've ever thought of walking out on, but I kept hoping it would improve. All the dark, brooding, dull angst....Uggh! Story line was so predictable.
