Overcoming a shaky start, this low-budget rom-dram rewards patience, with a fine cast delivering strong work. Accept the invitation.

Tiny profundities, clever twists and lots of giggles are the hallmarks of Table 19, a wedding comedy with on-the-nose casting and slight, uneven charms.

Table 19 is a dream team of super lovable, super hero losers who are living incredbily messy lives and still have the courage to show up. One of the movie's messages is the old adage that 90% of life is just showing up. I am so healed by the fact that Lisa Kudrow and Craig Robinson showed up in this film with incredible performances. That moment in the shower between these two actors should show up on someone's top 10 list of best onscreen kisses. Stephen Merchant is hilarious and believable as a daff ex-con on his first time free from the half way house and Jalapeño. This is another great film by the Duplass brothers. Disregard the critics and watch this film more than once (because there are fun facts and nuances that you miss the first time around) and pray that this dream team is reassembled for a sequel. Bravo!

Table 19 is the most inaccurately rated movie I've seen so far. I'm giving it a 9 because the ending wasn't perfect and seemed a little rushed. Also too many loose threads I agree with people saying there should be a sequel. I enjoyed every bit of the movie I did not want to miss a second, the humour was witty and the twists quite unpredictable the characters were spot on no over-acting or trying too hard to be funny. It's the most relaxing and refreshing movie I've watched in a long time. I will watch it again to pick up the rest of the funny bits I missed the first time.

When Table 19 tries to be a goofy humiliation comedy, it’s barely engaging. (The pratfalls are numerous and laugh-free.) But when it settles down into something like an indie ensemble about disappointment and the comfort of strangers, Blitz finds a more effortless tone.

It’s a genuine drag to watch talented actors struggle through tepid material, and Table 19 offers this more readily than it does its laughs or its pathos.

The movie is choking on fumes before it’s even had the chance to begin.

After the unnatural way it plops this gruesome group in their social Siberia, it goes from (alleged) comedy to serious drama with all the subtlety of a 10-year-old playing Mario Kart.

This is definitely an underrated and underappreciated comedy. I loved it, and found that if I turned away for even a second I would end up missing something funny. Lots of really fantastic jokes and nuances, and at least one thread that didn't seem to finish quite right. I found this ridiculous, funny, heartwarming and redemptive. I love the setting - reminds me a bit too much of all the weddings I've been to - but also somewhat disconnected with some of the far fetched situations - and how the characters learn things far more intimate and personal than I think I've ever learned from anyone at a wedding. Loved the casting, it really did feel awkward to watch them. The script was fantastic :) I would watch this at least one or two more times to catch some of the little details again. Reminded me of some of the faster moving social comedies like Love & Friendship and The Importance of Being Earnest - any maybe in some ways this movie is a period piece too.

This is a mildly amusing, entertaining rom com (more 'com' than 'rom' though - mild 'com') of a film. I liked that the titular table was full of somewhat socially awkward people, for one reason or another and I could relate to one or two of them. I liked Stephen Merchants character, Walter Thimble (and what a name that is, eh? I had to look it up on IMDB(!)), who seems to improvise his answers to personal questions when put on the spot. It was also nice to see Lisa Kudrow (aka Phoebe from Friends) in another film - I've seen her in one or two but not many over the years. Plus there's the bossy older person - yes its a bit cheesy and cliche perhaps but I didn't think it was too bad. Overall, this is a pretty alright, inoffensive film - you could do better than this, you could do worse. Its likely to make you **** but I wouldn't say you'll get big belly laughs from it. I'm not sure its especially worth seeing but its not got nothing going for it either, so its up to yourself whether you see it or not. Its maybe one to see if it comes on TV, I suppose.

Many of the characters are stereotypes, but the performances are good enough.

Adorei o elenco de "Table 19". O filme possui momentos emocionantes e cómicos, mas a reunião do grupo e a resolução dos arcos das personagem demoraram, deixando a audiência aborrecida. 6/10

A group of seeming misfits is seated at a distant table at a wedding. The group includes some talented comic actors, including Lisa Kudrow, Craig Robinson and Stephen Merchant. Unfortunately, the misguided erratic script gives them little to work with. There's a pitifully predictable romance featuring Anna Kendrick who's frustrated after her breakup with the bride's brother (played by Wyatt Russell, who sure looks like his father Kurt). The other tablemates get some sort of dramatic arcs, but none are interesting. What starts out as a potentially quirky comedy, drags along without any laffs (and a few pratfalls), then rapidly rambles into dull dramatic encounters. The narrative and direction often seem random, leaving you scratching your head about why anyone would want to sit at this table.
