A skillfully made teen comedy with such an endearing sensibility that it's fun even for those old enough to be the grandparents of its stars.

There's a dollop of charm and a deluge of formula in Sleepover.

Sleepover is a regrettable expierence. The jokes are corny, the plot seems implausible(Would kids actually be stupid enough to break the law for a nice lunch spot? Honestly?), and, it's just really awful. They had a character who was supposed to be a "chubby kid", and they tried to make it seem like "chubby kids can be cool too!", but, honestly, close to the ending, it starts to get offensive. The only possible way to enjoy this movie is if you have the ability to laugh at how horrible it is.

Not overwhelmingly original or funny.

In terms of a pre-teen instructional, Sleepover offers throughout a laudable emphasis on the importance of friendship, but parents may rightfully flinch at a protagonist who is ultimately rewarded for breaking all the rules.

Nussbaum's attempt to capture the 'tween zeitgeist fails: The Spice Girls–infused soundtrack is dated, and the feel-good progressiveness forced.

A lame and labored comedy.

Yes, it's all a harmless lark. Which is why the only thing that could redeem this sour patch of candy-coated crud would be a final shot of Earth exploding.

I gave that one point out of pity. I have never expected much for teen movies but this!! Oh dear god. Don't let your children watch this. Predictable and so naive. I actually can't believe someone finds this entertaining. And how in the hell did Steve Carell got into this movie?

This movie wouldn't even be entertaining to a 7 year old. Almost all of the scenes are cheesy, the acting is cringe worthy, and it really wasn't even remotely funny.
