In the end, Nobody 2 is about gratification. The fantasy that the bad guys never stand a chance. That justice is swift, brutal, and delivered without hesitation. It’s not subtle, but then again, subtlety never gets a standing ovation. And maybe, this summer, we need that more than ever.

Beyond the brutal violence and clever quips there’s a specific call-back to a type of film that flourished in the decades past, one that recognized fully that the specific joy of watching people get punched in the face doesn’t need to be wrapped in a dour or overly complex narrative.

At the moment nobody makes action movies like the Americans, with John Wick, Ballerina and now Nobody, it's really refreshing to see the kind of thought gone into action sequences AND character development.Hope they keep doing this forever!

For a while, the movie is like “National Lampoon’s Vacation” if Clark Griswold had secretly been Steven Seagal. Is it remotely “believable”? No. But “Nobody 2,” like “Nobody” before it, unfolds in its own weirdly grounded action-fantasy universe. Odenkirk has the ability to make behaving glumly fretful seem like a form of slyness; he’s really creating a conspiracy with the audience.

It’s an okay movie if all you want is an everyman dad doing superhero-ish things while getting beaten up along the way, but it’s neither as wildly entertaining nor as exhilarating as its predecessor.

The amusing thrills intermittently appear, but the novelty is gone.

Though the punches maintain their force in Nobody 2, the sole punchline they support has become a grating dad joke, one that you’ve heard so many times that it’s lost all meaning.

Somebody, anybody, should drag Odenkirk away from this nobody franchise.

I’ll always appreciate a good action film, and Nobody 2 delivered. I love hardcore action movies with plenty of fight scenes, and the soundtrack had great music choices. I’d definitely recommend this movie

The first Nobody was a surprisingly enjoyable action film. Bob Odenkirk kicked ass, and the action scenes were fantastic. The sequel delivers more of those entertaining set pieces, with the final act being especially fun to watch. That said, this is a weaker sequel. The first film struck a nice balance between realism and comedy, but this entry cranks up the silliness and humour too much. The plot feels bland and uninspired, like something straight out of the ’90s, and Sharon Stone gives a genuinely poor performance as the ****’s a shame, because there was real potential here to explore more of Hutch and Becca’s backstory. Instead, we’re left with a decent but ultimately forgettable 90-minute action flick.

This film is quite enjoyable for anyone looking to turn their brains off and enjoy an action comedy, but be warned that thinking while watching may ruin your experience. The first half was overall excellent and mostly in-line with the tone of the first film. It really starts to struggle once the arch-villain is presented because they are far too cartoonishly evil and cannot be taken seriously as a threat. The first film had a villain whose motives were not only easy to understand, but fit perfectly with the chosen theme of the Russian mafia. Not so with the second movie, where the main villain seems evil for the sake of being evil and as one-dimensional as they come; add this character's weird dancing, which only manages to make one wonder if the writer wanted to invoke the Joker, be funny, or just had a stroke. On top of that, the film's pacing for the second half was rather bad and you definitely get the impression that the writer was either forced to heavily modify the writing or didn't know what they wanted to get out of it and just pasted together whatever scenes they felt would be cool. This being said, I did not regret seeing this film and it definitely did the job of keeping me entertained. A plausible villain and better pacing for the second half of the film would easily add two more points to the overall score.

Less "Taken" and more "Taken 3". Mr. Odenkirk does his best, and the rest of the family cast are adequate. Colin Hanks is solid as one of the antagonists. Rza, love him as I do was only OK, and just basically plays the RZA somehow getting to cosplay his life long Wu-Tang dream of becoming a Ninja. The person who absolutely ruins the film is Sharon Stone. As the primary antagonist, Mrs. Stone completely failed to carry her weight and seemed to be trying to channel some sort of Nick Cage energy. She fails MISERABLY. Some really crappy non-Odenkirk dialog in this film as well.

I would rather rewatch the remake of Road House than this absolute bag of smashed butt cheeks
