Though it suffers from a lack of urgency in some of the large open maps, has a five level tutorial that feels too long, and the dragon combat is lacking - DOOM: TDA is a well polished, masterfully crafted, fast paced shooter that lives up to its predecessors at least. For me, the attention to detail, the semi-destructible battlefield, the awesome aesthetics, the in-your-face combat, and the imaginative puzzles cause The Dark Ages to sail beyond 2016 and Eternal

Amazing story with fun exploration in beautiful locales and incredible voice acting, dragged down by jank, malfunctioning mechanics, puzzles with incorrect answers, an annoying companion (steals your guns, gives unsolicited clues, glitches checkpoints), and possibly the worst enemy AI I've encountered in a modern game. Overall, a good game, crafted with love for Indy fans

Though I have experienced some connection issues from time to time, my first 60 hours in New World has been the best time I've had with any other game this year. The combat is fun, the systems are surprisingly deep, and the world is rich. Where else can you play a guitar hero-esque type mini game with ancient instruments?

9.5: Echo Point Nova is a fast paced, movement-based, open world shooter. It combines elements of platforming, high-octane racing, and responsive shooting as you explore an open, nearly fully destructible world. It is a fantastic and unique experience.
