Le film Morbius a permis de présenter le Dr. Morbius ainsi que les autres personnages l'entourant dans une œuvre ayant une ambiance urbaine assez sombre et reprenant le schéma classique du scénario des films de super-héros des années 2000 tels que les films Spider-Man de Sam Raimi. Les scènes d'action sont assez nombreuses et les personnages sont développés tout au long du film grâce à des flashbacks et à des décisions importantes pour ceux-ci.J'ai particulièrement aimé ce film car j'ai trouvé le personnage original et bien reproduit, et que l'ambiance globale de la direction artistique du film ainsi que ses scènes d'action et ses dénouements étaient réussis et à la hauteur du projet. La musique nous accompagne également tout du long de manière plaisante, nous permettant de profiter au maximum du long-métrage. La dernière partie de cette critique est subjective.

Cette marvellerie est bien pourrie et vient s’ajouter au catalogue déjà bien fourni dont la sub-corpo Marvelle a le secret, c’est-à-dire cette succursale comme chacun le sait de la méga corpo Disniaise woke ! cela dit, cela fait longtemps que Merdvel fait de la merde avec ou sans Disniais mais force est de constater que ça ne s’arrange pas du tout… avec le temps. Donc, ce Morbius a l’air morbide et ressemble à un Batmou-rat qui a bien mal tourné : l’homme qui voulait devenir (non pas roi) mais chauve-souris est devenu une sorte de chauve-souris sur demande… qui ressemble à un vampire inférieur. Du moins, à une créature peu ragoutante et d’ailleurs, on n’en ferait certainement pas un ragoût, non, non. En tout cas, quelle vacuité à tous les étages dans ce truc qui se traîne comme un hamster fatigué, lassé de tourner dans sa cage (diantre, donnez-lui un peu de coke à ce pauvre animal !… euh, je veux dire du coca-colac bien sûr… mais c’est presque aussi dangereux). Le scénar est lénifiant, l’action est bien rare, les dialogues sont embarassants de… sumple nullité… et ainsi de suite. Heureusement, ça ne dure qu’1h44… mais tout de même, 1h44 de merdes ! (au pluriel). Remarquez néanmoins un agenda DEI plus limité que d’habitude… mais bon.

The narrative follows Michael Morbius, a genius doctor with a rare blood disease who transforms himself into a living vampire using bat DNA. While Morbius struggles with his newfound bloodlust, the real highlight is his lifelong friend Lucian, also known as Milo. Played by Matt Smith—my favorite 11th Doctor—Lucian is a compelling antagonist who embraces his evolution, shouting, "We’ve evolved!" after a lifetime of suffering. It’s a bit of a pattern how "Doctors" from British TV always end up as Marvel villains, but Smith’s performance brings a much-needed energy to an otherwise bland script. The movie suffers from a flat plot and a complete lack of tension. The federal agents, Simon Stroud and Rodriguez, are utterly incompetent, failing to investigate a lab filled with illegal bats even after a string of murders. The resolution is incredibly hollow; after spending his life caring for Lucian, Michael simply kills him with a serum rather than trying to find a way for them to coexist in their new forms. Even more confusing is Michael’s inconsistent morality—he refuses to use the lethal serum on himself and later jumps at the chance to join Adrian Toomes (Vulture) for a "Sinister Six" team-up despite his supposed "heroic" principles. From the "I’m Venom" joke to the abrupt ending, the film lacks the depth and coherence needed to make its characters truly attractive. It’s a disappointing entry that wastes a great villainous turn by Matt Smith on a story that feels like it’s missing its second half.

I liked, not loved, Morbius! That's probably because I love vampire movies. I didn't likethe part of the special effects, where there's (I guess you can call them) contrails. I think itmakes the movie look cheap! I do like, not love, the storyline.

Honestly, Morbius is not as bad of a film that people make it out to be. Sure, it is pretty boring at times, and the pacing is slow. However, I do genuinely enjoy the premise character of Morbius, and Matt Smith as the antagonist is the best part of the film. This movie is pretty easy to make fun of though, as is Jared Leto. I do think the final fight scene was pretty bunk, and really, the memes made this movie better. This is a watch with friends type film.

The basics of the story are not bad and differentiate the film from the classic film of the genre, only to become more banal and predictable in its second part where it becomes the classic Marvel film. Overall appreciable but average

This movie changed my life. Pure cinema. Jared Leto provides a performance for the ages that the academy just doesn’t understand the depth of. It is one hundred percent in my list of the movies of all time. It is a fascinating look into what would happen if you took a guy of a street and gave him three bottles of tequila and hour to write a movie. My favorite part was when Morbius said “It’s Morbin Time” and morbed all over the place. In conclusion this piece of cinema is one of the movies of all time and on the list of the movies ever. Thank you director for this masterpiece.

Oh my God the memes weren't enough to save this movie, acting was poor, special effects looked terrible the story was trash, characters forgettable and once again Jared Leto was insufferable to work with behind the scenes "shocking" and what you see in the trailer is misleading to get your to watch it thinking it's connecting to a cinematic universe when it isn't.

Saw that this popped up on Disney+ so I just watched it on a bus ride. It was alright at best. After hearing all of the memes about it I was expecting it to be worse but was pleasantly surprised. The CGI looked straight out of 2005, the dialogue was a bit clunky at times, and god were the jokes painfully unfunny. The fight scenes were kind of cool though. It’s a miracle this one didn’t put me to sleep though.

Morbius spent the entire run either stealing from other movies, or making you hate the Morbius character, despite the movie trying so hard to make you him. Some of the lines feel like they were written by one of the 14 year olds in Jared Leto's cult.

Morbius sweep! This film is so forgettable, it’s unsettling. I don’t know how this happened.

Morbius is not as bad as mentioned. It's just an isolated movie. The action and visual theme are delightful. But because of this isolation, I believe, it didn't fulfill the expectations. I can't say it's too bad if you would accept it as a solo movie.

I despise this feces because it is boring, dull, illogical, uninteresting. Bad movie from Marvel. The Avengers themselves were not the best, but at least you could watch them under popcorn, not even once. I despise Disney for what they do with the franchises they buy.

I can't explain how good this movie is. The plot is godly and the character development is insane. Morbius is truly the best movie released in recent years. Jared Leto has his best performance since American Psycho. Matt Smith has improved as an actor since his awful performance in Doctor Who. The Post Credits set up a future collaboration between Morbius and Adrian Toomes. If I was to recommend a movie to watch it would be this. I don't know how this wasn't nominated for Best Picture as it was the highlight of 2022. The cinematography and the sound design are amazing. We thank Sony for realising this movie twice so we could watch it twice.

Why do people like this, this movie is just terrible. Sure, the visuals and great and the actors are charming, but it is soulless and loud.

Biochemist Michael Morbius (Jared Leto) has spent his entire life searching for a cure to a rare blood disease that he and many others are dying from. When he finally believes he’s reached a breakthrough he soon realises that he has actually infected himself with a form of vampirism instead. Whoops. Now with a primal need to feed on human blood he desperately tries to cure himself before the blood cravings take over. And cue the bats. Morbius could have been so close to greatness it’s actually frustrating to see it fail. I wanted this to be so much better. It doesn’t really feel like it knows what kind of film it wants to be, a superhero movie or a horror. And although the first act is very promising and sets the film up nicely the rest is a bit of a mess. There are scenes that feel like they’re paying homage to old school vampire movies, but there’s no chance to build tension as every scene is completely rushed. It wants to get to the CGI vampire stuff right away and it certainly does that. Though it’s not violent or atmospheric enough to be a good horror and it’s all over the place with the rest of it you don’t end up with a great origin/antihero film either. Having said that, it’s better than both Venom movies put together. I’d put that down to Jared Leto as Dr. Michael Morbius. He’s doing his best with what he was given. The idea for Morbius is good but it wasn’t executed well at all. I’m always one to favour practical effects and makeup over CGI and Morbius definitely made a huge mistake with all the CGI because at times it looks awful. Old style vampire makeup like Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992) or even Buffy would have worked far better here. It’s all red eyes and growly vampire faces in order to try and creep you out. The fight scenes are absolutely horrendous. All this shadowy flying through the air with slow motion every five seconds so you can actually see what’s happening is laughably bad. It’s boring to watch and ends up feeling like a video game. There’s also a strong sense of a disjointed story, honestly it felt like scenes were either missing or cut far too short. There may have been a lot of scenes removed or reshot and whatever the reasons for that the result is a film that doesn’t know what genre it wants to be, a severely disorganised story with dodgy CGI, messy fight scenes and an over the top Matt Smith. I normally like Matt Smith but for this he felt completely miscast, and his excessive pantomime performance just went from annoying to more annoying. Nowhere near the standard it should have been and considering the hype they’ve been trying to whip up for Morbius for so long now it was never going to live up to that. For all you die hard Sony/Marvel fans, yes there are two post credit scenes. If you’ve made it through the film then it’s worth sticking around for the first scene but the second is probably the worst post credits scene in a superhero movie and clearly a case of setting up more ****’ franchises and seriously can we just have some stand alone comic book films for a change. Is anyone else getting tired of these connected movies where you need to have seen 10 other films and a TV show to understand everything that’s going on. Not every single superhero film needs to be all connected, it’s getting tiring now give it a rest lads. Sony is clearly trying very hard to get some excitement going on some future franchises, and in the process of laying the foundations for future movies they forgot to make an actual good one here. Sony/Marvel would want to get their act together because if they’re planning on making more of this standard then I think I’ll pass. Morbius could have been it’s own thing, set apart from other comic book movies. Considering the subject, it should have given the whole thing a higher age rating and gone down the horror route instead. Disappointing, and only recommended for comic book movie fans but I’d suggest you go into Morbius with very low expectations.

Morbius is a pure masterpice misunderstood by the critics i do have to admit that i hated the movie at first but after rewatching it for the 10th time i can truly see why its a masterpice Jared Leto's performance is top tier probably the best we've seen the Morbing time scene has some of the best if not THE BEST writing in a movie and the Milo dance is just beautifully executed not to mention the soundtrack and fight scenes are just the best in the industry and the directors knew what they were doing such a beautifully executed movie perfect from the beginning to the end Morbius just knows how to catch the essence of bats and whats it like being a vampire in a full blooded world kinda poetic when you think about it.

Truly the most movie ever. I vividly remember losing my morginity on a replay of a twitch stream. Every second of it was true bliss. Every day since then I have re-watched Mobius and have morbed each and every single time. Long live Morbius!

I think Jared Leto might be the worst actor of all time. This movie ****. And so did House of Gucci.

I knew this movie was bad, but WOW, I couldn't have guessed. It's lacking in basic cinema and storytelling 101, like characters reacting to things. Or setting something up before just taking off running with it. If you JUST want to watch a lot of VFX running and snarling with random bad guys getting attacked, here you go.

Butchered. It's hard to think of a movie in recent times, from a big studio, that has so clearly destroyed a movie in the edit phase. There's strong performances from a sensational cast but the movie lurches erratically from scene to scene, like a drunken sailor. We jump back and forth in time, plot threads get lost from one scene to the next, character development is almost non-existent and huge chunks are just taken out of scenes with absolutely no regard for the audiences need for coherence in what they're seeing. I'd estimate there's probably close to an hour of missing footage here and it's frankly insulting to audiences that Sony thought putting the movie out like this was acceptable. Hopefully at some point the studio can put the movie back together properly because there's performances in there and a gorgeous, original visual style that feels like they could make a great movie, if only the people behind the scenes cared enough to make it happen as intended.
