Gleefully gory and darkly funny, Monster Party is the sort of extreme genre exercise that separates real fans from mere dilettantes.

Monster Party is a twisted, grisly little shocker that isn’t afraid to grab you by the guts — or to show you a man’s guts cascading to the floor. It’s that kind of movie. It’s also pretty effective and rather fun, if you have the stomach for this sort of thing.

Letting the “monsters” dispatch each other lets our “heroes” retain their fear and expendability — they can die when you least expect it because they aren’t our only means towards victory. This universal animosity keeps things interesting so the battles can be short and sweet without any monologues extending the opportunity for table turning.

Tρία κλεφτρόνια σχεδιάζουν να ξαφρίσουν τους πλούσιους καλεσμένους ενός ιδιωτικού πάρτι σε μια πολυτελή βίλα, υποδυόμενοι τους σερβιτόρους. Το σχέδιό τους όμως πάει απίστευτα στραβά όταν συνειδητοποιούν ότι οι καλεσμένοι δεν είναι τόσο αθώοι όσο φαίνονται και χωρίς να το καταλάβουν, οι ρόλοι αλλάζουν και μια απλή ληστεία γίνεται αγώνας για τη ζωή τους.

It's all frat boys, insulting and degrading people before mutilating them is not far from real life but i just found this too far in the realm of torture porn to enjoy. The photography was a little too bland, everything has a bronze tint. Lance **** and Erin Moriarty are always good to see but reduced to very simple stereotypes of angry dad and shocked sister.
