Milania felt less like a movie and more like a carefully crafted public relations campaign. Rather than exploring its subject with balance or depth, it presented an overwhelmingly one-sided narrative that avoided difficult questions and criticism. The lack of objectivity made it hard to stay engaged. I left feeling like I’d watched a promotional piece instead of a thoughtful documentary that trusted viewers to form their own conclusions.

Worst film ever made and released. Simply drivel. Sad, becuse Melania is a beautiful lady, and deserving of a qualified director capable of pulling this off, especiallly considering the involved. Why didn’t anybody tell Melania how bad this film really is, and to not release it?

I don’t care what the critics say. This movie is a very pleasant way to respect how Donald Trump’s wife, Melania, became the First Lady 20 days before the second inauguration of Donald Trump on January 20, 2025.

An enjoyable film with a rare behind the scenes look opportunity into the most versatile, talented, stylish, and physically attractive First Lady of all time. A real treat.

A new genre is born : PR PORN First Lady narrates voiceover of nothing much of substance, over beauty shots of herself in various dresses, going in and out of cars, planes and buildings… motorcades going east, west, north and south…. Choosing colours and materials is hard Do we learn anything new? Only through accidental closeups.

I went into this hoping for something, anything, but the experience was ultimately boring and entirely self serving. To borrow a phrase from a certain jacket; it makes it clear that she really doesn't care, do u? If the goal was to make the audience feel as disconnected as she is, mission accomplished.

Never before has a first lady been so openly flaunting her stupidity as this supposed documentary shows. Walking around and focusing all her efforts entirely on herself and her outfits. Just give her the $28 million, no need to foust this garbage on the world.

The same "journalists" who fawn over Becoming with Michelle Obama came out in full force to review bomb a very similar endeavor with Melania. It only exposes the void where their journalistic integrity should be and the ugly hate and bias they exude. The media is not to be trusted nor taken seriously as it is filled with petulant children utter incapable of anything remotely resembling honesty.

"Melania" is not a silly sad excuse for a documentary that plays like an extended real housewife segment of Melania Trump's life that doesn't give you anything interesting and doesn’t absolve any sins; it highlights them. It taunts the viewer and takes glee in the assumption that they can’t do anything about it.

Very informative about 20 days in the life of Melania . She’s very articulate ,intelligent ,kind and grateful for her life and position in the United States. I’m glad I watched this, gave insight into her life as a woman, wife, Mom and First Lady . An important part of history, documented.

I didn't go in expecting much as the trailer was very bland. But this exceeded my expectations, way more interesting and engaging. The rare movie that is better than the trailers.

Melania- seen it 3X so far! This good documentary delivers what it promises: an insider view of our First Lady's life. I love that the film has clean speech and zero violence! The parts about Melania honoring her recently deceased mother with prayer and candle lighting was poignant and has universal appeal to any mom who's mom has passed away. It was entertaining to me and my kids and the movie is certainly family friendly. I so, so appreciated gaining Melanie's perspective. It was very interesting how much of her schedule she maintains and I am happy she balances it well. She must be a strong and forgiving person. Her best friends are fashion designers and focused people of influence. I wish Melania health and success with her initiatives to help foster children in the United States gain housing and to decrease children being bullied online. Every teenage girl should finally see this movie with their friends as an example of pose.

I thought it was from elden Ring, I felt like I was scammed, out of jokes I fell is athe most laziest documental I've ever seen and it has some of the worst cinematic tomes I've seen in my life

A great documentary film that is worth every million the producer paid for it. Melania wears the clothes she is known for and displays all the facial expressions she is capable of. All this in the style of the golden elite that her husband grants her. A film that must be seen. Don’t be snowflaky and take a dive into the lifestyle of the US elite.

I was skeptical seeing the reviews here but after watching it, I’m convinced it’s just a case of political review bombing and not genuine because it was superb. It was thoughtful, genuine and a breath of fresh air compared to most documentaries. It’s not dull and stoic as most are. Money talks and it’s quite obvious it was well received by the profits. The reviews are simply invalid at this point. Well received and a blockbuster based on profit and ultimately, that’s what decides it

If there is one movie that could discredit movie critics, Melania would be it. It’s a simple film follows the journey leading up to the inauguration. It’s an interesting perspective on the role of First Lady. It’s clear Melania is a perfectionist and she helps deliver this unique perspective on her role gracefully and with style.

Pure elegance. Melania is a stunning, intimate look at the First Lady that the media doesn't want you to see. She is poised, powerful, and impressive.

What an amazing story about our countries 1st. Maybe they should all be doing something like this. Maybe people would have liked Obama, Clinton and Biden more, or perhaps less. I think she is popular and this should help. But people who have nothing but hate because the media tells them to, will hate no matter what. That's the people who are giving this a negative review. I doubt most took the time to go see this.

Watching paint dry is more entertaining than watching this nonsense. Even if it wasn’t a piece of extremely obvious Jeff Bezos **** up to Trump offering, the film is painfully boring. Melania has less charm than a plank of wood and absolutely nothing interesting happens. Not even going to be a so bad it’s good watch in retrospect

was worried that this movie was going to be very bad based on all the negative reviews but I loved the movie it even had a few funny moments. it's a documentary not a tripple A cgi avatar or something soI don't know what people expected, I'm a 38 year old non politica male and really enjoyed this movie. i think alot of people just don't like trump and his wife honestly and that's what the bad ratings they gave is mainly about

It's hard for people to put aside their personal feelings and politics while reviewing anything related to a political figure, but I'll try my best. I watched this movie with my family and friends, and I enjoyed it for what it was: a view into the life of a previous/incumbent first lady in the weeks leading up to the most important, regularly scheduled, political event in the U.S.A., inauguration day. I'm an average dude, so I could have done without the significant portion of the movie that was dedicated to fashion and party planning details. And I've got to admit that the aspects of the movie (dialogue, inner monologue, chosen direction, series of events, etc.) that make Melania look like a saint are a little heavy-handed, but nobody goes out of their way to make a documentary that makes themself look bad, so I already expected it to be a best-foot-forward sort of adventure. If you're going into this movie expecting a tell-all documentary about Melania's childhood/upbringing or life journey in general, you'll be disappointed. However, if you're interested in the recent inauguration, this is an interesting glimpse into the event that feels at times like an exclusive social media vlog (for better or worse).

I thought maybe people were exaggerating how awful this movie is or maybe the bad reviews are politically motivated. I went in with an open mind, and there’s no exaggeration. This really is unbelievably bad. If Donal Trump pays to see it, he’ll probably want to sue for a refund and for pain and suffering.

Usually documentaries get decent to great reviews. Melania wont. Melania ia a paid infomercial where the main actress has no star quality. Stiff, monosylable, and emotionless is the lead here. Hubby has charisma, she dont. The idea 20 days before the inauguration is a good premise, but there is no tension, drama, or wow factor that kept me interested. Melania presented here is unintersting. The music gimme shelter, rule the world, and its a mans world are bizarre choices because we dont feel how she navigates the White House pressure. She is staid in her ways ever since we met her. To break even this will have to do 100m at rhe box offfice. 35m for marketing will get this to the 12 to 15 million. Amazon doing this quid pro quo because they knew the probabiliry of this doing well was minimal. Good premise and Melania sings the chorus of Billie Jean. 1 out of 10. Very boring.

Perfect as a sleep inducing experience. No interesting insights. Perhaps better if shortened to five minutes.

I lasted 25 mins. Dont get me wrong I only watched it because someone i knew wanted to watch it for s**ts and giggles but it's not worth the headache. I probably would have given it 2 stars as there are humans behind the camera but people are giving it a 10 and thats madness

What we get here feels more like propaganda than cinema—a film that flatters rather than questions. There is no real narrative structure, no editorial hierarchy, no sense of curiosity or consequence. Time passes; nothing is revealed. I lost time. Many scenes feel scripted, contrived, or post-edited to create an artificial impression of intimacy and insight. Characters behave like actors in a staged biopic—not real people under observation. The result is deeply troubling: a film that feels false, as though you are watching a lie and only its subjects believe it.This is particularly disappointing given the director’s track record. Brett Ratner, known for big commercial work like Rush Hour and X-Men: The Last Stand, has shown he can execute crowd-pleasers. Rush Hour delivered fast, entertaining action, and X-Men: The Last Stand was a bold (if flawed) entry in a major franchise—films that at least aimed to do something with their material. Here, however, he has ceded editorial control to his subject and producers, producing something that resembles more of an infomercial than a documentary. The lead producer, Marc Beckman, senior advisor and producer on the project, helped shepherd this release through Amazon’s high-stakes rollout, demonstrating how industry power can shape not just distribution but the very story being told. Yes, free speech is the reason this film exists—we permit creators and subjects wide latitude to tell their own stories. But free speech also means we should be able to call out when that freedom is used not to explore truth, but to distort it. When producers are free to adjust history and lie to the viewer, then viewers must be free to say what this really is: a portrait that doesn’t reflect reality, but what its subjects want you to believe. No amount of marketing muscle makes this good cinema. On its own terms, it’s a hollow, low-quality production with all the sheen of a corporate campaign and none of the substance of documentary art. Free speech should enrich film culture—not bury it under staged scenes and scripted smiles

Lion and the witch, and the audacity of this… Melania. Awful. Goddamn awful.I kept asking myself why anybody would do that, but then remembered it’s the Trumps.

I don’t know if it’s even possible now in this hate filled world that we now live in, but if you could put aside politics and rate this as what a first lady should do and should be like I believe with all my heart this should be the training film for all future, First ladies.Melania in my opinion is 100% of excellence in everything that she is doing and has done. Yes, I've actually watched it. In fact, it is a missed opportunity to tell a faux Cinderella/Pretty Woman story. It is a missed opportunity to offer an ironical take on the "royal family." It is a missed opportunity to show them as human beings not spoiled by riches. It is a missed opportunity to tell a love story. In essence, it is a failed opportunity to even be propaganda. The fact that Melania had control over the movie is glaringly visible—there is no story carefully crafted by a storyteller. There is simply a kaleidoscope of well-shot but forgettable visuals. Melania drifts here and there, sporting this or that costume, interspersed with her emotionless statements of politically correct banalities ("I miss my mother"; "Children are my priority"), and behind-the-scenes fashion-based decision-making along the lines of "what to wear and how to wear it." It has the immersion and story value of Fashion TV. During the Renaissance era, rich people were commissioning flattering portraits from prominent artists. Now that AI has taken over, we get this movie—a completely lifeless and artificial one. It's not created to tell a story; it's not even a propaganda piece. It is created as a brand promotion, and it is as forgettable as an average perfume commercial you can't recall five minutes after watching. Check british "The Queen" movie and "The Crown" series. Now that is a well-done propaganda of royal family, that carefully manipulates history "purely for drama purposes", and humanizes the royal family, and esspecially the Queen herself.

It’s Sad when people who did not even bother to watch this, rated a 1. How aboutcheck your bias at the door and actually watch it. That is all I’m going to say my wife and I had enjoyed this!!! Haters gonna hate!!

If you're curious about Melania - well, why not. I don't put any extraneous emotion into watching a film. It's odd that I happened to see this film. Anyway, the film is done well - it's just not that interesting to me. If Amazon had done Melania-pre-Trump in the same quality I would have given it at least a 7. Also, I'm not interested in the reality genre. By the way... it is not a 0 or a 10. Logically it would fall somewhere in the 5 to 7 range given a rational review.

I would hardly call this a film..more a cash grab or bribe by Jeff. The directors choice were horrible it ultimately made little sense. Alot of whining and how her life is so hard. People just generally of out of touch with reality.
