Knights of the Zodiac is a good production in terms of its action and cast. But when one focuses so much on the fantasy-action set-pieces, having a soulless story makes all efforts fall flat.

Está bien está entretenida pero pues sería nada más para los niños porque pues para los que somos fans de la serie no nos va a gustar pero para mí está a 50/50 aunque algunos efectos sí se ven medio raros y otros donde sí se ve muy bien

Personally, I think the movie captured the essence of the beginning of the original comics/tv series. Nice visuals, and I appreciated the way the armors where made more modern, rather than the awkward and heavy box that really disappeared from the series after the first few episodes. Quite impossible to squeeze more in a almost 2hrs film.

The defanged action sequences don’t leave an impact, and what was once an engaging story about Greek myths and destiny has been downgraded into a cliched “battle” between technology and faith/magic.

That Bagiński’s Knights of the Zodiac amounts to a well-intended disappointment doesn’t mean it has zero merit as a work of entertainment, but it will neither satisfy the fandom’s demands for a true-to-the-bone homage to their childhood favorite, nor will it transmit to outsiders why this tale of blind courage in the face of insurmountable odds has inspired such decades-long devotion.

Knights of the Zodiac fails to inspire enough excitement to meet the prospect of future sequels with its lackluster visual effects and rather clunky storytelling.

This live-action co-production between Sony and a Japanese animation studio begins with the colorful bounce of Paul W.S. Anderson directing a cosmic X-Men knockoff, and quickly runs out of gas in a way that resembles the worst of Sony’s Screen Gems genre arm.

Fans of the comics will certainly get more out of it than newbies like me. All we see is all the other middling YA sagas it resembles, borrows from and fails to match or improve upon.

Me gusto la vi dos veces, la vi con mi hermana y la pasamos bien, ahora ella quiere volver haber la serie. No me gusto la banda sonora, cambien al compositor.

Very loosely based on the manga and anime. In fact, you’re more likely to enjoy the movie if you don’t expect it to be like the anime.
It’s not bad, but if you see it with the eyes of a Saint Seiya fan, you’ll of course be disappointed.
If you choose to see it like a random movie **** thrust into his destiny of wielding the Cosmo energy to protect the reincarnation **** goddess, you might actually have some fun.
Dull parts though, that’s why I can’t bring myself to give it more than a 6.

Passable but...
It's a movie inspired by a famous anime, manga (and Toy line) series of late 80's, where mystical warriors inspired from various constellations and classic greek mitology clash with each other. Anime in particular was very successful and has a cult following to this day.
Review:
This movie seems filmed in the early 90's, when film adaptation of comics/manga/videogames where cheap, and only loosely based on the original works (like Masters of the universe, Barbwire, Double Dragon..). This movie has the same cheesy dialogue, low budget fx, over the top action sequences, cold colors palettes, famous actors tossed in for a cameo, changed plot-looks and setting from original work.
You can have sone fun with this movie if you want to watch one of those cheesy film of old (like 90's Super mario movie).
If you are looking for a faithful, modern take on Saint Seya you will be disappointed.
This movie it's WYSIWYG in the trailer, so take a look at the trailer and you can get a good impression of the movie

why?? why?? why the flying f*ck would you not include the other bronze knights in a knights of the zodiac movie?? that was unforgivable. so they were hoping for a sequel to then include the other knights? talk about being delusional. of course that would never happen. this was the one chance they had. my expectation was super low, but still, even if they wanted to keep this weak ass story, they could at least have made mark dacascos character be shyriyu for example (although i would have prefered a different and younger actor of course). and not even one gold knight? im a huuuge knights of the zodiac fan, so i will admit that some scenes gave me goosebumps though. but still, it would have been so easy to also include the other bronze knights. at least as cameos ffs. the training with marin was kinda cool, very reminiscent of the anime. fight choreography was surprisingly good. design of the armor was ok. but man, no shun, yoga and shiriyu? dude..
