King Ivory (2024) Very Realistic Police Story (12,574 - 18 Jul 2026 – Claudio Carvalho) In Tulsa, Oklahoma, anti-drug agents Layne West (James Badge Dale) and Ty Grady (George Carroll) are partners and best friends. When the coyote and drug dealer Ramón Garza (Michael Mando) and his partner Javi (Erick Hidalgo) accidentally kill 43 Mexican immigrants asphyxiated inside a truck and only the teenager Lago (David Barcena) survives, Ramón kills Javi and uses Lago as a drug dealer in Tulsa. Meanwhile, the criminal George 'Smiley' Greene (Ben Foster) and joins the gang of the kingpin Holt Lightfeather (Graham Greene) with his “uncle” Mickey Greene (Ritchie Coster). West and Ty team up with the FBI to chase Ramón Garza. Tess West (Sam Quartin) discusses with her husband Layne that his son Jack West (Jasper Jones) is uncontrollable and rebel, but Layne does not pay much attention. But Jack’s girlfriend Colby (Kaylee Curry) has addicted Jack in fentanyl. Until a tragedy happens and Layne’s world is affected. “King Ivory” (2024) is a very realistic police story with several subplots about the addiction of Americans in the Mexican fentanyl. The plot is gripping and despite the 130 min, running time, the viewer never fells tired. There are many characters and the acting is top-notch. My vote is seven. Overall this should have been a solid crime thriller and it hits almost all the right notes. One big issue is the cops son. Hes so annoying and stupid I just dont care what happens to him. Hes supposed to be the human connection between the cops and the drug traffickers, but honestly, he's such a bad actor and/or poorly written character, you lose that and dont care when the big twist comes. Everyone else gives solid performances that make this an almost hit. This kid drags it down.
