It’s an exciting sports movie, an inspiring tale of prejudice overcome and, above all, a fascinating study of political leadership.

How is Invictus as a sports movie? Let's just say that its lump-in-the-throat climax is predictable, but that doesn't mean it's less than earned.

One of the greatest movies ever made about Nelson Mandela. Well casted and uplifting all the way through.

Morgan Freeman has been starring in Clint Eastwood in many films like( Unforgiven , Million Dollar Baby) and yet stars again in another film by clint eastwood. But in this film Freeman is at the top his game in playing nelson mandela a role that he was born to play an order to honor Mandela. All though i never thought that Eastwood's soccer film is not not over ratted its a crowd pleaser. the fact that it is based on a true story its touching ,epic , powerful. the acting is good , the cast is good whats not to like. Grade A+ ( KEEP MAKING GOOD FILMS CLINT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not only does Invictus tell a remarkable story of a remarkable man, but it also illustrates how sports can be a salve to a wounded community. And that's something New Orleanians can certainly appreciate.

It’s a simplistic, superficial approach to a real-life story that marginalizes most historical details not involving scrums and tackles. It’s also pretty effective, in spite of the gloss.

Freeman is so in-tune with the former South African president's persona you can't take your eyes off him.

Anthony Peckham's script is formulaic, woodenly reverent, and devoid of real dramatic tension.

The result is earnest, admirable and more than a little dull -- a pedestrian movie about a remarkable subject.

First off, this is a 9.75 out of 10. Near perfection. Story is remarkable. A great true story. Acting is Really good. Morgan Freeman is always good, and Matt Damon gives one of his best performances. I think they both got screwed. Seriously, Morgan had some competition, but honestly Matt had no competition. Score is also pretty good. Overall, this is a remarkable true story, and one of the best sports movie. Everyone should go, and watch this movie.

Invictus has pretty good acting but you have to be a diehard rugby fan to find this very interesting.

A movie meant to inspire but has very little. While the performances were above par, the choppy editing and clumsy ending stop it from becoming emotionally gripping.

i was looking for a good sport movie. this is not a sport movie at all, they should remove that tag. this is a bad history film about racism. never seen Freeman this dull (okey maybe in Wanted).

Just reread William Ernest Henley's poem Invictus. Earnest indeed. It makes me think that the movie could just as well have been title ****. I know that's unseemly but it does seem true.
