I Still See You

Once all the pieces are in place, the film becomes a more conventional and less interesting thriller, with a single violent villain the heroes have to overcome.

Newcomers will find this adapted tale’s fantasy logic arbitrary, its plot convoluted, and the sum effect wildly unconvincing without being nearly so fun.

This thematic concern with disingenuous allies isn't subtly expressed, but it is compelling for a while, especially given the movie's high-concept premise.

I Still See You is a middling mystery thriller in which the supernatural is explained and over-explained by long bursts of exposition, “rules” and scientific gobbledygoop.

There are no surprises, and the addition of a supposedly mysterious killer fails to add any mystery.

I Still See You is painful to watch, and having to learn all the new jargon only makes it feel like an academic chore.

Nothing about I Still See You attempts to succeed on any level of logic, including the script, peppered with pseudo comic book mumbo-jumbo.

Um filme muito bom, o roteiro te prende do início ao fim. A obra sabe explorar muitos plots e a complexidade e profundidade da mensagem muito além de focar apenas em te manter preso. Nota 1000000

Οι ερμηνείες από το καστ είναι πολύ καλές, η σκηνοθεσία είναι άψογη, χτίζοντας ένταση με το σωστό τρόπο και τα εφέ σε συνδυασμό με τα σκηνικά, δείχνουν ότι έχει γίνει καλή δουλειά από πλευράς παραγωγής. Αν έχω κάποια ένσταση, αυτή έχει να κάνει με το στοιχείο της δραματουργίας και του μελοδράματος που εμφανίζονται στην αφήγηση, με κλισεδιάρικους τρόπους, οι οποίοι μάλιστα κόβουν και ράβουν τις ιδιότητες των φαντασμάτων, προκειμένου να εκβιάσουν το συναίσθημα του θεατή. Στο τέλος, το I Still See You αφήνει περισσότερο την αίσθηση ενός τρυφερού παραμυθιού που βασίζεται σε μία εξαιρετική sci-fi ιδέα, παρά ενός θρίλερ μυστηρίου. Ακόμη και η κορύφωση που συνοδεύεται από αποκαλύψεις στο τέλος, δίνει τη σκυτάλη σε παραμυθικά και σχεδόν δακρύβρεχτα σκηνικά. Από αυτή την άποψη, δεν είμαι σίγουρος ότι η ταινία απευθύνεται στο κοινό που θέλει να δει κάτι πραγματικά σκοτεινό. Από την άλλη βέβαια, είναι τόσο καλοφτιαγμένη που άνετα μπορεί κανείς να την απολαύσει γι’ αυτό που είναι: Ένα sci-fi δράμα, με μυστήριο και στοιχεία θρίλερ, που τα τελευταία όμως δεν είναι τόσο δυνατά καθώς τα διαδέχονται φανταχτερές σκηνές τρυφερότητας και μελοδράματος. Μπορώ ωστόσο να κατανοήσω τους λόγους που κάποιοι λάτρεψαν το I Still See You. Βλέπεται σαν ένα επεισόδιο του Twillight Zone, το οποίο ενώ διατηρεί την παραδοσιακή ατμόσφαιρα της σειράς, δεν την αντιπροσωπεύει πλήρως από άποψη ατμόσφαιρας.

I Still See You is interesting in the concept and the first hour of the movie is kinda attractive, but sadly the ending part isn't and turn as your typical cliché horror thriller. The other main problem is all the sequences goes way to fast, you can't have the time to merge into the atmosphere or the story. Overall not a bad flick but definitely a little disappointing.
